I recently had a new heating and air conditioning unit installed my house. Before that we had use window units for air conditioning for years. I have no idea who are the screens went that had the air conditioners in them. To boot, two of the windows were impossible to reach without a long step ladder due to the slope of our yard. I heard about these greens that just set into your window. They have worked out perfectly for me and I'm probably going to buy a couple more for two of the other windows set had air conditioners in them.

It's a must have if you have cats or kids. Such an easy precaution.

This isn’t a bad product. I got it as a second layer of protection for my cat. He loves the open window by his little hammock so I obliged. We rent and he likes to sometimes bite the screen or dig his claws into it and I was worried he’d eventually rip it or push it out. This is a flexible metal mesh screen, and does it’s job. However, it’s not exactly too sturdy. You can feel that it’s a little wobbly and weak when you pull it apart to fit your window. When I tried, a part of the mesh on the side, came out of its place. It wasn’t really easy to push back in because it’s pretty bendy. It moves around a bit in my window and doesn’t allow the window to fully press down on it to block any holes, so I wouldn’t use this to prevent any small flies from coming in. My cat is only 6 months old so I’m not sure how he’ll act with it in the future, but he doesn’t seem to notice a difference.

For the price, this item is great. The last time I found window screens this inexpensive was at family dollar and that was a few years ago. The screen serves its purpose- blocking bugs and other items from coming in the window while giving me the ventilation I need.

I didn't want to invest in expensive windows screens at the moment so I bought these as a stop gap. These are very basic, cheaply made and work just OK Shipping was quick - product was wrapped in bubble wrap and arrived in a cardboard box. Measure your window opening carefully to ensure correct size - I learned this the hard way. Pros • Expandable • Price Cons • Hard to expand and contract - they don't move smoothly • Cheaply made, flimsy • Be careful when removing and placing. If one isn't careful, these poorly designed screens can easily fall out when being fit into the window.

I needed a screen to keep those darn mosquitos out while getting some fresh air in my apartment, and this did the trick. Its slides open very smoothly, and fits into the groove of the window so that you can make a complete seal so not a single gosh darn mosquito can sneak into the devour your blood. It's not made of the sturdiest materials, so I'm not sure if it'll survive the weathering but I'm thus far very satisfied!

I bought two of these for my bedroom windows and they work great. Because they're expandable, it's actually easy to take them in and out even though there's a bunch of stuff in front of my windows. They're a little flimsy, as other reviewers have said, but as long as you don't drop them or something, they work just fine once locked in place in the windows. I've had them for several months and I'm really happy with the purchase.

This thing is a wonky rhombus popping out all over the place. The design is simple, wood and aluminum, but the craftsmanship is terrible. Like I said, the thing is a rhombus, and doesn't fit properly in a rectangular window opening. The screen pops out of the wooden frame with the slightest pressure. Lack of bracing means that you have to wedge it awkwardly as you close the window. Try to get your fingers out of the way in time. "Extra Sturdy, Tenoned Corners Keep Screens Square" 1. Wire only extends to 30 inches. 2. The rails may be galvanized in the literal sense, but they have sharp pieces sticking out everywhere. I don't believe the wood is varnished. 3. Definitely not sturdy. Obviously tenons do not keep screens square. As I may have mentioned, the structure is a rhombus. Well, I'd say you'd be better off taping a mosquito net to your window. It would last longer, be less likely to injure you, and less expensive.
