Flat Cats Window protection for Cats Standard Twin Pack (60cm x 115cm Grey Mesh/White Fixings)

I had my flat cats made to order after the original order size didn't fit. The service was speedy and within a week I had my new made to measure product. Easy to fit, extremely neat and unobtrusive, high quality product and very functional. Can't rate the product or service more highly. Definitely recommend it. Good long term solution to keeping much loved cats in!

From purchase to usage.... I'm very happy with the Flat Cats window protection. I have 2 indoor cats that go outside for short periods of time.... so when I put up the mesh I was expecting a full on assault to escape! My boy Thomas is about 6kg and he loves being outside.... once the mesh was up I watched him poke and claw and then scale the mesh... yes worked his way up the window hanging from the mesh (I didn't get a picture, but there's still time!).... did the mesh budge, I think not.... it remained securely in position... woohoo what a result.... we're having a bit of a heatwave at the moment.... so having the window open is such a relief and knowing my kitties are safe is even better... It really has enhanced their window (TV) viewing for them.... I shall definitely be purchasing at least one more. I was having a bit of a nightmare removing the sticky stuff from the window frame, but saw another review about white spirit and now all the residue is gone took less than 10 mins... I'm about to move from rented to my own home and will be ordering flat cats for my new property 👍🏾🙂

I had two reasons for buying these, I do have an inside cat on a second floor flat, but I'll be honest that I found these when searching for really decent nets that keep bugs out. I'm incredibly arachnophobic, to the point where I haven't opened my windows in years. Bit embarrassing to be a 25 year old bloke, sweltering to death in the summer, because he's worried about a spider but I can't get over it and the ivy around my windows mean we get some real monsters trying to come in. I have tried a lot of different solutions, from the cheap white nets that stick on with very thin velcro (always peels away from the window after a few days, no staying power) and rigging up my own wooden frame with a net stuck to it that secures to the window (decent but time consuming, expensive, and bulky) - then I saw Flat Cats. These might seem expensive but what you get is incredibly well made and now I won't be without them and couldn't thank the Flat Cats team more. I ordered very early on a Thursday morning and they were with me by Saturday morning so a very quick dispatch and delivery, and what's inside is a pack of two nets with Velcro around the edges that fit my standard windows perfectly (make sure yours are the right measurements - I believe they do make custom ones though which is an awesome option) and a big reel of the best Velcro I've ever used. It's incredibly strong and was more than enough to do the full four sides of the Flat Cat and to double up on some sides for more grip. The two I ordered went on my lounge and bedroom window, and then I actually had some of the Velcro left over so I did around three of the smaller upper windows in other rooms and added two layers of my own net (from the previous projects) and now that's even staying stuck too. I haven't closed my windows in weeks, it's finally cool in my very warm flat, and my cat gets to sit in the breeze without me needing to worry about her falling out. She is a small, curious, and little claw happy when she wants to be, weighs about 2-3 kilos and is no match for these, I've seen her try and get some moths that land on the net and tap/bat/lightly claw at them but the Flat Cat didn't budge, didn't rip, and didn't let her have her prey. Keeps cats in and bugs out, so I couldn't be happier. 2019 Update: This is my third summer with the Flat cats and they're still going strong. I've since ordered two more for other windows since last summer was such a swelter. There are some small (0.5cm) holes in one of the original nets but this is from my new cat constantly climbing up it, and she's a big chunk of 6-7kg, and uses it as a toy 3x a day. Her claws have tugged some of the mesh apart but not really torn it at all, so I'm very satisfied with the nets durability. These have saved my sanity for a few years in a row now.

This is pricey but worth the peace of mind, when you have a cat who wishes to wonder off via open windows. Easy to install but measure your windows first as it would not fit the bathroom window, but fitted bedroom windows perfectly.. it’s sturdy enough and sheer too, and stops unwanted insects which is an advantage.

Love this item. Adopted a cat during the hottest weeks of the year so far, these window protectors gave me the protection I needed and keep the windows wide open. I would say these make great bug screens too, so double purpose and so easy to install. Anyone can do it, the only tools needed scissors, and I think most of us have a pair of these. Wonderful product, so simply and effective and looks good and does not obstruct your view of the window.

I have been researching window screens since getting an indoor cat and I can highly recommend this. Thanks to the bespoke nature of the order, you can rest assured it will fit very well (as long as you follow the measuring advice correctly). I now have family members who are interested in fitting out their own windows with these. I have a lovely air flow throughout my bedrooms tonight which is not only pleasing my cat, but will make it more pleasant to sleep and also its an extremely good fly/spider deterrent. Practically nothing bug-wise will get through those tiny mesh holes.

I have two adult Bengal mix cats & they are strong and high energy. These have been perfect! We have them on all of the windows and have not had any issues. Installation was very very very easy and they sent me quite a bit of velcro so I could double up in strength. The only thing needed for installation was a pair of scissors and a step stool. I've had them up for almost a month now with zero issues, lots of comfort and priceless amounts of peace of mind. My windows open outward and these are a strong, secure, perfect solution for keeping the cats indoors, while still letting the breeze inside. I also just recommended them to my mother-in law for her two purebred Bengals - so you know they have to be good! ;)
