Bluetooth Headset, Neckband Bluetooth Headphones with Retractable Earbuds

Was initially good, but after return window the headphone connects to my phone only for calls and not for audio, need to switch off/on to get audio option connected otherwise cannot listen to music. Sound quality ordinary.

I've seen neckband headphones before and always thought it was a weird gimmick. Then I bought one. I now believe they are the superior form factor. Let me cook. There are two main form factors for audio devices in the mainstream, headphones and earbuds. I like myself a good headphone. One that goes over my ear and wraps around my head. Feels so cool to pull it down when it's not in use so that it rests on my neck. But the large ear pieces does end up getting in the way of moving my head and neck. But where else would I put it? In my pocket? Earbuds sound better right? Smaller form factor and all. Few problems though. You can easily lose an earbud, it being so small actually makes it harder to implement physical control options that don't force you to pull out your phone and you still have to carry a charging case in your pocket. That last point seems petty right? Am I really complaining about putting a tiny case in your pocket? Well what if I told you this non-issue could be avoided anyway? I want to stress, do NOT underestimate the value of being able to store an essential object someplace that does not see use otherwise. This product does comes with a case. You DO NOT need it. You can just wear these headphones at all times. To be fair and clear, I don't do things like extreme sports or much physically strenuous activities at all so I don't know how this product would be useful for you if you do those kind of things regularly. I can say however that I can eat with this on. Carry most items with this on. And even if you do those kinds of activities, I cannot see why and cannot imagine how this product and it's ilk could get in the way anyway (still, check other reviews for more info). The only instance I have come across where I put these headphones on, leave the home and then have to put it away again even if for a short time is for haircuts and honestly, you could try and keep them on during a haircut. Just know I will be judging you severely. Neckband headphones do not restrict your movement at all like with headphones with the slight exception where with this specific model, sometimes you hit the cable retraction button with your chin if you're looking down and to the side. Does this happen every time? No. Could this product be redesigned to avoid this issue? Absolutely but that's not what I'm reviewing right now and frankly it's such a minor issue. It doesn't even pull the earbud out of your ear if it happens. So it does not get in the way like headphones and can be carried about much easier than headphones but how does it compare to earbuds? Well I mentioned that this product does come with a non-charging case but you do not need it so you're just saving room in your pocket by going neckband over earbud. But to go back to headphones for a moment, imagine having them on and someone tries to talk to you. You'd have to lift an earpiece to hear them or for a longer term solution, tuck the earpiece behind your ears. Pretty awkward but you get used to it as a headphone user. Earbuds seem better right? Just pluck one piece out and hold it until you're ready to put it back in your ear. Except whoops, you bumped into something and dropped the earbud. God help you if it lands in between a grate. You can put it back into the case for safety but then that means fishing the case out of your pocket and GOD HELP YOU if you drop the CASE and it lands in between a grate. Neckband headphones though? Drop it like it's hot because guess what, the ear piece is still attached to your neck. That's hands-free storage without having to dig out and put back a small case. You don't even need to retract the earpiece if you don't want to. And unlike most earbuds who usually can incorporate only a single button in their ear pieces and have to program multiple button push styles to facilitate basic controls beyond just pausing, this model just has 3 buttons. Play. Rewind. Skip. If you want to change volume, just hold down the skip or rewind without pulling out your phone. No need to remember what happens with your earbud and it's one button if you double tap it, hold it down for a few seconds or god knows what. At this point, I have brought up every issue I've had with the mainstream form factors and how the neckband headphone avoids or addresses them. So what else is there to address? Well are still concerns to address. Firstly that I don't wear a lot of necklaces or such so I have nothing conflicting with these headphones on my neck. I can see how it could conflict if you do wear necklaces and stuff. Do I think this could be a big issue? No, just put on these neckband headphones last so it doesn't conflict with what's underneath or anything above. Is this an effective solution? I dunno, I don't wear much on my neck. Check other reviews for testimonials. No, my main issue is that this model with their retractable earbuds does leave me concerned with the earbuds eventually breaking either by it getting smacked at an awkward angle while retracting or the wire just not holding up one day when you're pulling it out to use it. Has it happened so far? No. Am I still concerned? Yes. The inside of the neckband does have cushioning to let the earbuds fully retract without breaking but it's kinda slight cushioning, not exactly a soft pillow. Only time will tell how long this retraction gimmick will last. That said, there are other neckband headphone models without a retraction gimmick. You might think they just hang there and get in the way then but the designers already kind of addressed this with magnetic earbuds so that they attach to each other when not in use. Is it a perfect solution? Eh, not really? But that's why I chose the retraction model over those. But if these do end up breaking one day, I WILL be trying that style out if for nothing other than curiosity. Finally, I have tried to sell neckband headphones as the best of both worlds between headphones and earbuds but there is one last issue I have and that is greed. MY greed. I want more. The main reason why I usually choose headphones over earbuds is because there is a style of headphones that let you insert an SD card and play music from it without ever needing to connect to a phone. Do I use it a lot? Not really? Do I still want that function for unusual cases? Absolutely. But the only neckband headphone I found with that function does not also do retraction. So I'm saying right now, if someone develops a neckband headphone with retractable earbuds AND Sd card storage and access, basically this exact model but with Sd card capabilities, that might just be the perfect headphones for me. Ever since I bought these headphones it feels like one small step for the industry, one giant leap in my quality of life.

Great Product. Good sound clarity. Long battery. A wee bit heavy , but otherwise a perfect product. It connects to 2 phones and this is a useful feature
