Can these be used over the head instead of a round and neck and in cold weather??

Sure, I just tried. They can be worn over the head, but not as comfortable and may slip off. I wonder if you had a hat on then put them on top of the hat they would be more comfortable and not slip. I wear them around my neck all year long and I live in the north east where there is plenty of freezing weather.
