This is a wonderful kit. After I bought my first one I bought three others to finish. The yarn is really good and enough to finish each 4-inch square. They test this by finishing a square two times to see how much yarn they used. They say this is for kids but I don't think they would have a successful time of it. The cross stitch is a bit above their motor skills, and isn't the easiest thing to do on these. The pictures are cute and printed very well on the squares. They supply plastic needles for child safety but there is no way you could use them successfully. These are really quality kits, I think they're more for older women. Kids would have fun with them but the square wouldn't look good, in my opinion. This is a good company, you won't be sorry.

Great set for kids that want to learn to cross stitch. I like that the picture is printed on the material. Great for beginners, my 6 year old needed a little more help but she did great.

I bought this for a girls' group (all 10 years old) and I also gave one project to my daughter (12 yrs. old). The directions were fine for my daughter, but the younger girls had some trouble. There is not enough yarn for all the projects, and we had to buy extra for the backgrounds. Maybe if one child did all the projects and was careful, there would be enough yarn for all the images, but for sure not the backgrounds. The needles are definitely flimsy but will work if you are careful. Keep in mind the size; the plastic canvas for each project is about 4x4. I thought they were smaller and therefore would go a little faster for the younger crowd.

These were a huge hit during enrichment time in my second grade classroom. And we realized a side benefit is the fact that they are strengthening their finger and muscles and improving their hand eye coordination which transferred then into helping them sustain writing. Complete side effect, but actually turned out really well. The students loved making their own bookmarks. I cut down the little grids so they were manageable size for small fingers and they went to work.

The quality of this product is extremely poor. The yarns raveled in mid-stitch and the plastic needles bent and broke, all within the first few minutes of using with an adult assisting. I would not recommend it to anyone, especially young users.

Looks good, ordered for my granddaughter and she likes it.

My kids love stitching these. It’s a great product for learning a new craft.
