Horizon Series CV181-AT / 6SN7 Vacuum Tube Amplifier Matched Pair (2 PACK)

I ordered a matched set of PSVANE Horizon 6SN7 tubes for my new Schiit Freya+ F. It took about 10 days to two weeks for them to arrive. Of the four tubes in the Freya, I replaced the right two tubes with the PSVANEs and used tube savers to raise them. There was a noticeable improvement in sound. It was a richer and broader sound over the Tung-Sol tubes that came with the Freya. It was very noticeable, and I was pleased. This was my first experience with rolling tubes and I decided to try more. I then purchased two Ray Tubes Select 6SN7 tubes. I put them in the two right sockets and moved the PSVANEs to the left. The Ray Tubes sounded nice, maybe they were slightly better than the PSVANEs, maybe. They were definitely more expensive. After a couple of days, the Ray Tubes developed problems. I sent them back, and the manufacturer sent replacements. During that time I ordered two more PSVANEs. They arrived, and I put them in the Freya, so all four Freya tubes were PSVANEs. It sounded great. Again I was very pleased and think they are a great value. Later, the Ray Tube replacements arrived, and I put them in the two right sockets (gain stage). So two PSVANEs and two Ray Tubes are installed. My system sounds good, and I'm happy. I don't think the Ray Tubes were worth more than the PSVANEs. The Ray Tubes might be slightly more "tubey" sounding... maybe. But if they die, I will replace them with the PSVANEs, so all four are, once again, all four PSVANEs. The PSVANEs sounded a little tighter and more accurate to my ears. I don't want to spend more on tubes than I spent on the PSVANEs. They sound great, and I'd rather invest my money in upgrading speakers or other things. So, I can report that my four PSVANEs sound great and are on par with the more expensive Ray Select tubes. I'd recommend them to anyone. My experience was good.

PSVANE CV 181-AT HORIZON SERIES (6SN7) right out of the box is the best tube new or NOS I have heard in my Schiit Saga + pre amp. Usually swapping a tube makes a subtle improvement or no difference but I see no reason to look any further. The Horizon Series reviews are correct. I am over the top happy with this purchase. I bought the matched pair even though I only needed a single because that is the way Amazon currently sells them. Sound is subjective but I immediately noticed a balanced frequency response, a large sound stage, clarity and realism in vocals and instrument placement. Deep natural bass. I’m glad I purchased and would recommend to anyone.

First pair were unbelievably noisy - I feel sure due to the absurd lack of protection in the packaging. One would think PSVANE cared more about their merchandise than they do. Second pair were much quieter but still suspect. Waiting for a pair I ordered direct from PSVANE to arrive to compare before returning these. Nothing like going to the wHole Foods to dinf there is no on4e there until nine o'clock and when they finally get there they take forever to get things set up. I left in exasperation. These should NOT be purchased from this company unless you like wasting your time. Forgot to mention - the kiosk there for returns does not take printed out return forms - only from phones. Always an incredible experience.

I bought two sets of these for my Schiit Freya+. So far after only 6 hours of use they have lots of power, deep taught bass, clear mids, and nice highs that cure some overly bright piano/keyboard notes on some of my LPs. The sound stage is very wide and deep and they also are what you could call holographic, and no sibilance. I'm very pleased with these, they sound as good as my 1950's Sylvania Chrome Top 6SN7GTAs. Buying NOS tubes can be a crap shoot, but with these you can send them back if they don't work out. *** I now have about 25 hours on these tubes and they are getting BETTER with every use, sound is well balanced, sweet highs and very detailed in the mid range. Bass not as prominent as when new, but that is a good thing detailed. Pink Floyd albums sound better than ever***

They are without a doubt the best 6sn7 tubes I have ever heard in my single ended triode SUN of Japan amplifier. I have been a Tube audiophile for 10 years now and wasted money on NOS and new Russian tubes. I have bought a back up set and didnt want to let people know about these tubes but get them before the quality goes down or Trump Places Tariffs on China. Aloha

I swap all the stock tubes of my Willsenton R300 to : Shuguaon Treasure 300B-Z, PSVANE Treasure 274B-Z, LINLAI Elite E-6SL7, PSVANE Horizon CV181-AT. The new tubes bring huge improvement to sound quality, the sound stage is much wider, more holographic, more details can be heard, the bass is deep and tight, the mid is full and warm and the high is good. I'm very happy with these new tubes.

Airiness, clean mid-vocal, good imaging, driving a PAIR OF 6CA7EH fat tubes. It takes a few hours to settle down.

Beautiful tubes that sound fantastic. Clear, open, detailed and neutral. Dead quiet so far after 200+ hours. Will buy more.

Was für eine hervorragende Röhre. Nach einigen Stunden Einspielzeit, kann ich nur Positives berichten. Die Auflösung ist fantastisch, die Bühne breit, die Mitten sind präsent, die Höhen nie aufdringlich und der Bass macht ordentlich was her, ohne zu knallen.

Gute Röhren. spielen für den Preis auf hohem Niveau. Keine wirklichen Probleme Müssen natürlich erst mal einspielen.
