I love my Kindle! Update!
I have had my Kindle for over a month, and I am still excited about this Kindle. However, I just saw that it is on sale (Black Friday Deal), and I wanted to cry. It is now $45 less than what I paid (excluding the cost of the charger and case; add another $60 to that $45 (Ouch!)). Then, I had to have a talk with myself, and it went like this: Trinigal, stop being upset! You are fortunate to have purchased a Kindle that works well, and doesn’t have issues (like others who have shared the dissatisfaction with their Kindle). You are still enjoying your reads and always looking forward to your next read. I then chuckled to myself, and said that the title of the next book I select should be: When is the right time to buy a Kindle? My original review is below: This is my first Kindle, so I don’t have any other Kindle to compare it to. I usually read a physical book, books on my Computer, IPad or iPhone. This Kindle makes a difference in my ability to relax while reading a book. It is an awesome device that is portable, light weight, and convenient. Although I like reading on my IPad, it will no longer be my go to device for reading (When you know better, you do better). My house is full of unread books that I bought over the years, and that really bothers me because I just couldn’t find the time to read (being a professor with lots of other academic books to read, I gave those academic books priority over a good novel). Now, I am at the point where I want to read books for relaxation purposes. I chose the Kindle Paperwhite Signature edition as part of my incentive to read a good book. I researched this Kindle for an entire month before investing in it. Let’s get to the workings of the Kindle: This 7 inch Kindle is easy to hold in my hands. The IPad truly strained my hand when I tried to use only one hand when reading. At times, I had to lean the IPad on my thighs for support. Now, there will be no more hand to thighs when reading! The Kindle set up was very easy, and user friendly. I did not experience any problems connecting to the internet. After set up, with bated breath, I waited to see how the pages turned on the Kindle, and if I will find any fault with the action of turning the pages of the book I was reading. I am happy to say there was none; no noticeable long lag time, no problems were experienced with the turning of pages on this Kindle. Then I squinted my eyes, opened my eyes wide, I turned the Kindle upside down, and side to side while turning to the next page of my book; I was trying to see if there will be any trace of the previous page as I turn to the next page ( ghosting; some users experience an imprint of the former page while moving to the next page of their book). Happy to report, I tried hard to find a problem with that but I found none. What about the battery? The battery charged very quickly, and there was no problem during that process. I did charge the battery with the case on the Kindle, (as the picture shows). The Kindle came with an 80% charge and in 30 minutes (or less) it was fully charged (100%). I am hardly ever swayed by reviews: Sometimes reviews work as an incentive, or a deterrent….I always say, try an item out and make your personal decision. This Kindle is a keeper, and I am also going to purchase the new Color Kindle Colorsoft. Conclusion: This Kindle paper white Signature Edition , Gen 12/32 GB, is truly made for reading. It is certainly a handy device for traveling, and reading on the go. It is easy on the eyes, and therefore, easy on the brain. The raspberry color is really nice, and I plan on buying an extra clear case so that I could easily see the vibrant color of the kindle. I am honestly excited to be part of the Kindle family!

Super little Kindle packed with great features!
I absolutely love this little Kindle. It is perfect to take with me anywhere and fits in my purse or pocket. It charges super fast and the charge lasts for weeks! Downloads my new books very quickly and loads my book in the blink of an eye. Read without glare even in the car in full sun. My big IPad used to hurt my hands to hold and read at the doctors waiting room, not this little gem. I can not say enough about this Kindle….it is great and I highly recommend it.

Great buy for an avid reader!
The display is so easy to read - it does flash black every few pages but I learned it’s to prevent the words from the previous pages to still show. It’s quick to flip pages, I’ve noticed it lags in the store slightly when downloading books but nothing too crazy. All in all it’s a great device that’s so easily portable and makes reading in your spare time so easy! I’ve had this a week and have already finished 4 books, I should’ve got this sooner!

Best present ever
I am absolutely obsessed with my Kindle Paperwhite in metallic raspberry. I genuinely did not expect a reading device to elevate my reading experience this much, but it has completely changed the game for me. The color is stunning and feels so much more fun and personal than a basic black Kindle. It’s sleek, lightweight, and honestly comes with me everywhere now. As a mom, finding time for myself can be hard, but this has become my favorite little escape at the end of the day. I can read in bed without a bright light, throw it in my bag when traveling for work, and carry an entire library without lugging around heavy books. The battery lasts forever, the screen feels just like reading real paper, and it makes getting back into reading so easy. This is hands down be the BEST Mother’s Day gift. It feels thoughtful, practical, and luxurious all at the same time. If you have a mom in your life who loves books, needs more “me time,” or deserves something just for her, this is it. I can’t stop recommending mine.

Great product!
Absolutely love this! I got it for my 40th birthday, and it’s so easy to use. The font size can be adjusted to suit your preference, and the background lighting is simple to tweak, making reading comfortable in any lighting. The battery life on this Kindle is incredible—it lasts forever!

Reviving My Love for Reading
I wanted to reconnect with my younger self, the one who used to daydream about being part of the stories I read. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve unfortunately fallen into the habit of doom scrolling. I’ve even noticed moments where I struggle to find the right word when speaking out loud. My overall focus and cognition just felt weaker. So, I took a drastic step. I deleted the time-consuming “useful” apps on my phone and, somewhat impulsively, bought this Kindle. I had never owned an eReader before, but after researching comparable devices, this one stood out. It’s only been a couple of weeks, but I’ve enjoyed every minute with it. While I like the concept of audiobooks, I’m currently focused purely on reading. My purchase came with a promotional trial of Kindle Unlimited, which I’ve been enjoying so far. It’s too early for me to dive into all the pros and cons of the service, especially since I haven’t explored the full library yet. As for the audio features, I haven’t tried them on the device, though they work well on the Kindle app for phones. Focusing on the actual Kindle device: it feels very comfortable to hold. I have medium-sized hands and can use it one-handed with no trouble. You can turn pages either by swiping or tapping on the left or right edges. The screen has a soft, almost paper-like texture, very similar to a physical paperback book. I’ve only charged it once since I received it, and it’s still going strong. I keep airplane mode on and brightness under 50 percent, which I think helps a lot. It’s easy to read during the day, but my main use is before bed in dim lighting. The built-in lighting has been perfect for that. Initially, I tried using apps like Libby on my phone, but I kept getting distracted and jumping to YouTube or other apps. I also wanted to avoid the blue light from my phone screen. While the Kindle does emit some light, it’s far less harsh than a typical smartphone. I’ve experimented with dark mode as well, although I personally prefer the standard reading mode. I like the water resistant availability as well to read by the pool or just to help overcome any incidents. When the device is asleep, it displays random book-themed artwork, which I really like. This Kindle is one of the newer and higher-end models, and I chose it specifically for the responsiveness of page turns and swipes. It’s not lightning-fast like a flagship phone, but it’s smooth and quick enough that I haven’t experienced any noticeable ghosting or lag. You can find plenty of YouTube reviews that go into the technical specs, but to keep it simple, it’s lightweight, durable, and very comfortable to use. I also like the adjustable font sizes and typography. You can easily change the size by pinching the screen. That said, it’s not a perfect device. For example, I enjoy using the Libby app on my phone, but Kindle doesn’t have native support for it. You have to use the Libby app on your phone, find the book, and then send it to your Kindle. It works, but the process isn’t intuitive. I also don’t love the way Kindle handles ePub files. You have to go through a specific Kindle website to convert them into a compatible format, which has only worked for me occasionally. Another minor issue is the back of the device. It’s made of smooth plastic, which could slip out of your hands if you’re not careful. I do like the bold black color, and the bezels, while slightly thick, are flush with the screen and not distracting. A future slimmer bezel would be nice, but the current design is clean and functional. I plan to update this review once my subscription trial ends and I’ve had more time with the device. But for now, I can say that I’m very happy with the purchase. Compared to other premium eReaders, the price and experience are well worth it. I’m genuinely glad to be reading again and exploring such a vast collection of books. Hoping to become that daydreaming reader once more.

Feels worth it! (So far)
First off this purchase was definitely an impulse purchase but so far I am very happy with it I do like the black color (even though I do wish there was a few more color options but still very satisfied). Next I do want to speak about the size, fit, design, and feel its an overall small design and at first I was like wow this is much smaller then I thought it was going to be but I instantly realized that it was a great size the screen I can tweak the text size so reading isn’t an issue but it’s small enough to just fit in my pocket and go and I love that about it makes it easier to keep on me and read when I can! Next the design it’s sleek and simple and for a device that you use to read book it feels like it’s a simple solid design! Now the functionality of it I struggle with reading and focusing in general so that the reason I bought this I could have downloaded an app and read the books on my phone or iPad but struggling to read like I do I get distracted easily so I decided to try this out and so far I have been extremely satisfied with it’s for sure worth it if you want to read more but get distracted easily this will help you focus more on the book and the read then the distraction that come with other devices. Lastly the price this one I’m a little torn on I did go for the bigger size which was more and then the surcharge for the version with no ads seemed a bit unnecessary but I did get 3 months of the kindle subscription so that will help me decide over then next few months if I really deem it worth the extra money and I will update later down the road but so far I am satisfied and I have started The Hobbit book I am loving it so far! (Oh yeah also you can hook up Bluetooth headphones and listen to audiobooks as well which I also love that feature as well cause same thing as before I get distracted easily notifications can make me stop my book and then I’m lost this there is no interruptions so that is another great feeling about this device!) One thing I will say is I wish I could simultaneously listen to the audiobook and read along side the text at the same time but it’s okay I still love it!

Perfect choice for reader
I absolutely love my Kindle. It’s a game-changer for anyone who reads a lot. The e-ink display is so much easier on the eyes compared to a tablet or phone, especially for long reading sessions. It’s incredibly lightweight, so I can take my entire library with me when I travel. The battery life is also insane—I only have to charge it once every few weeks. Best investment I’ve made this year!
