My elderly cat was recently diagnosed with suspected IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease), and the vet recommended I try her on Z/D Food. On the first day, I gave my cat a small portion along with her usual food, and she ate it immediately with no fuss. Now, a week later, she happily eats the Z/D food and loves the taste! As my vet stated, the caveat is to introduce it gradually into your cat's diet. So far, I'm impressed with this food: there has already been improvement in her indigestion and bowel movements, and I'm hopeful she will regain weight on this new food. The texture might seem strange - it's like a thick pate, which is easily broken down when you mix it with a splash of water. The cost of this food is higher than the previous cat food I bought (Lily's), but it offers the best value for money I've found online for Z/D food.

Cat loved it but also needs to be made in a smaller size.

My very elderly cat has ckd and food sensitivity and was being sick most days, vet advised euthanasia. After trying many different 'sensitive' cat foods with little success , I discovered the z/d food. It has , in a word , saved her life, chopped up into her renal food and hills urgent care, she is no longer sick and her appetite is much improved, I tried this on a hunch, so glad I did!

This looks and smells appalling. My cat looked genuinely offended by it. Total waste of money. I can’t imagine a dog would even eat this sludge. I expect far more from hills.

Great product, my cat enjoys this food while she is on prescribed diet. With each order a cute toy and little dry chicken treats is sent. What I appreciate very much is a quick delivery of the product each time I place order. I would recommend to everyone who need prescribed diet for their pets! 🙂

Recommend by vet for our cats ibd problems. Easy to use and more importantly doesn’t stink like wet dog food. Our cat had only eaten dry food for over 11 years but has eaten the wet pate food with no problems. Would recommend if your cat needs a hypoallergenic diet.

Cat doesn't like it. No matter what I do with it. Awful texture and smell. Add water for sure. If you are going to buy any. Just get a single can first. This is either going to Cat's Protection or the bin.
