Best thermometer in my 14 yrs as a parent
It vibrates instead of a beep!!! Huge win for night time. It takes temp in less than 30 seconds, maybe shorter. The cap for head to ear is magnetic. For a fever it has a double vibrate so even a half asleep parent can figure this out without glasses! Huge win in the thermometer game!

Very nice thermometer!
Works very well and very fast! It’s accurate for both head and ear. It also vibrates when it finishes rather than an inaudible beep.

Proven ear thermometer
Should have came with the ear probe covers but seems to be a good thermometer

A reliable thermometer that earns its spot in the medicine cabinet
I picked this up mainly because I wanted something more consistent than the old glass thermometer I had been using for years, and honestly, it has been a solid upgrade. The dual mode function is the standout feature for me. I use the ear setting on myself since it gives a reading in about a second, and I switch to the forehead mode for my kid since it is non contact and does not wake her up if she is asleep. That gentle vibration alert instead of a loud beep has genuinely made a difference during nighttime checks, since nobody wants a screeching thermometer going off at 2am when you are just trying to see if your child has a fever. Accuracy wise, I have compared it side by side a few times with a different thermometer and the readings stayed close, which gave me some confidence in the numbers it was showing. The screen is bright and easy to read even in a dark room, and the fact that it flags not just fever but also hypothermia felt like a nice touch I was not expecting from a device in this price range. Switching between Fahrenheit and Celsius was simple too, which matters since I have family members who think in different units depending on where they grew up. The Bluetooth connectivity to the companion app is a feature I did not think I would care about, but it turned out to be genuinely useful for tracking temperature trends over a few days when someone in the house was sick. Instead of trying to remember numbers or jot them down, the app just logs everything automatically, which made it easier to see if a fever was trending up or down over time. It is not a flashy gadget, but it does exactly what a thermometer needs to do and does it quickly, quietly, and consistently. For anyone with young kids or older family members at home, I would say this is a practical, no fuss purchase that solves a real everyday problem.

Accurate easy to use dual mode (forehead/ear) thermometer
The Iproven dual mode thermometer ( DMT-77BT) is a well thought out easy to use digital thermometer that provides quick temperature readings from either the forehead or ear. This unit runs on 2-AAA batterys and has a very nice backlit digital display for the temperature readings. There is also a multicolor indicator ( green, orange ,red ) that provides a quick indication of the measured temperature range. The are 20 memory locations where you can recall older measurements. This unit also provides a tactile "vibration" when the measurement is complete, which is a great feature when using with children. The sensor has a magnetic cover that when removed, the unit switches to ear mode and is very easy to put the cover correctly in place. This thermometer comes with full EMI and RF compliance testing which shows that the unit can be used in more complex environments other that your home. Overall operating temperature range is 50-104'F , however you must allow the unit to come to the steady state temperature if you want accurate readings ! The overall Accuracy is specified as +- 0.6'F and I found that measuring in the ear mode was very accurate, while the forehead mode measured 0.5 to 1.0'F lower in my testing. ( see enclosed pixs). In my experience , temperature accuracy is always better using the ear mode ! This is a quality made and performing dual mode thermometer, should get good battery life, and sells at a real competitive price.

Not the most accurate but for a general read that's not invasive it's fine.
Review of IProvèn Ear and Forehead Thermometer with Bluetooth, Dual Mode Quality: It's well-made. I see no flaws in construction. The plastic is smooth, parts that contact the skin are free from any sharp edges. The screen is easy to read and the controls are solid. Impressions: It seems fine for a quick read, especially for kids or those who are unable or unwilling to use a standard thermometer. It's easy to use in the ear or on the skin. Accuracy: This falls in the 'close counts' range for me. I don't think I'd use it for a precise measurement. I think it would be fine for a quick check or to monitor a change but I'd stick to a traditional thermometer for more critical measurements. I think for something quick to not wake a sleeping person it's fine. I did check myself and it read lower than my usual thermometer. On the forehead mode it seemed to be greatly influenced by ambient temperature. I had the AC on and it really affected the reading. When I tested again after being outdoors it did read higher. I'm not wild about the in-the-ear mode and I'd really rather have a disposable covering. That's more my preference for not sharing ear buds or anything like that so I didn't deduct any stars for my personal ick factor. It's fine for what it is and it's safer than glass but I'd honestly stick with my battery under the tongue model. It's probably less accurate than an experienced parent's hand but if this is all you have it's fine. I definitely wouldn't use it if you need a really accurate reading.

Forehead Readings Are Consistently Too Low
*This is a review for the IProvèn Ear and Forehead Thermometer with Bluetooth* My biggest concern with this thermometer is the forehead function, which is particularly disappointing because that is its primary "touchless" advertised use. The recommended measurement distance is one inch, and that's where I got the worst reading: approximately 95.4°F. I tested closer to the forehead at one-half inch and approximately one-quarter inch, getting 96.2°F and 97.6°F, respectively. Those closer measurements weren't an attempt to follow the instructions; I was trying to see if I could get the thermometer to produce a remotely reasonable reading for an upright, conscious, walking person. My room temperature was approximately 75°F, so this wasn't a particularly cold environment. Yet at the manufacturer's recommended one-inch distance, the thermometer consistently failed to register what I would consider a normal, healthy body temperature. Of course, I checked the ear readings as well. Those were 99.4°F and 99.5°F, which did not surprise me as I was not feeling particularly well the day I was checking this product. My Philips thermometer measured 99.1°F and 99.2°F in the same ears, so the ear readings were reasonably close for comparison. It is baffling to me that I have a forehead reading of 95.4°F and a left ear reading of 99.4°F from the same thermometer, taken less than five minutes apart. The Bluetooth functionality is nice, but if the primary method of taking a temperature doesn't provide a useful reading at the recommended distance, the connectivity isn't going to fix the fundamental problem.
