Works well
Have an outlet just inside the garage from one of my ring cameras. Used an old, low power usb brick and a type-a to type-c cable that plugged into this adapter. The camera recognizes it on the app as a solar panel, which is obviously not correct, but it doesn’t matter. It’s been keeping the camera’s onboard battery full at all times which is all I ask of it and allows adjusting the camera’s motion settings to be always looking for motion instead of just at specific intervals to preserve the battery. The only thing I suggest is to seal up the USB end of the connector and the barrel plug end for the camera. Depending on what USB cable you use, it will not fit the adapter perfectly and there will be some space to allow moisture in and on the camera end it does not fit the camera perfectly. I used some silicone caulk on both ends to permanently seal the connectors.

Used this to connect a USB-C solar panel to a barrel plug Ring cam
I have one of these connecting a small solar panel to our Ring cam. The cam is outdoors and <so far so good> there have been no problems with weather affecting the connection between the panel and camera. Good, tight fit/seal between the panel connector and this adapter.

Plug in and it works!
No instructions needed. Just plug into camera and the solar panel plug and it works! Great for battery life.

Problem solved
This converts most usb-c solar panels or power adapters to the ring barrel. It's an essential part if you want to use an different brands attachments. I do wish it also came in black but it works great and got me going easily.

Doesn’t work. Adapter fits well and seems to be of ok construction but does not allow camera to charge with known good cords.

Solve your Solar panel connection woes with this adapter.
It's too bad Ring Outdoor cameras only have a barrel port for Solar charging. However, this can be easily overcome with this adapter. Works great.
