In car satnav packed up but got this and it works perfectly, better than the on car one as it updates when on wifi so doesn't try to take you the wrong way due to road changes.

I love these little TomToms - the last one died of old age. Slight issue with attaching to the windscreen but the satnav itself is brilliant.

You,ll still need a computer to update by using WiFi !!!!

Best Sat Nav Ive Had

Back in 2017 I purchased a TomTom Satnav and had been using it without issue. That was until this year when TomTom decided to stop supporting it meaning that the maps were out of date and i found it was no longer telling me of delays. Now, that is a pretty terrible decision for consumers essentially bricking a fairly expensive piece of hardware but up until then it had been great so i decided to upgrade....(you can tell where this is going). The new one is terrible! here are just some issues i have with it: - The UI is exactly the same, which of itself is no bad thing but seeing as i had been forced to upgrade because my old model was no longer supported , is somewhat galling. - The speed camera service that used to be free is now a subscription that costs, at the time of writing costs £34.99 a year because i guess yachts do not pay for themselves. - After setting a location and planning a route, the screen will randomly zoom out to cover about 10% of the entire country while driving making it impossible to read the screen unless i pull over and reset the route. This happens 4 to 5 times a week. - The previous model had a magnetic lock that made it easy to detach from the holder. The new one has a crap ball socket which does not click into place so you cannot tell if it is locked into place or not resulting in it falling off mid drive several times. All in all, you would be better off using Google maps on your phone, Not only is it free, but it is more user friendly. I will not be buying a TomTom produce again

I’m the same as other users who’ve left a review, middle aged & not tech-savvy. This unit is 100% easy to set-up, you don’t have to attach it to a PC or a Laptop to update it, straight out of the box it works & soon says that an upgrade is ready, this took 5-8 minutes via WI-FI & was done, then 30 minutes later it did another shorter update & that was it. The menus are easy to understand & the operation is simple. I’ve only used it half a dozen times so far & each time it’s got me to the destination. It’s a basic Sat-nav & has all the basic features. I set-up an account with Tomtom & the next day they e-mailed me to ask if everything was ok. Fabulous. Only had it a month so far but I’m very pleased with it. If you want an easy to setup basic Satnav I’d heartily recommend this on.

This is probably my 6th TomTom over many years and I totally love them. My problem with this one is in the new reversable mount. Before I would stick the mount onto the screen and it would be there for months, while I clipped the SatNav unit off while the car was parked. You cannot do that with this new mount you have to release the suction and take the whole unit off then either wrap the charger lead around it or unplug the lead and leave it hanging. I have had no problems from this so far I admit but experience tells me that suction pads stop working after being released and reapplied so many times, so I can see a time coming when it will just no longer stick to the screen.

Si te cuesta leer pantallas pequeñas o simplemente quieres echar un vistazo rápido sin distraerte demasiado, este tamaño se agradece muchísimo. Navegación sin líos El funcionamiento es muy intuitivo. En pocos minutos ya sabes moverte por los menús, introducir direcciones o guardar lugares frecuentes. Las rutas se calculan rápido y las instrucciones de voz son claras y naturales. No abruma con opciones innecesarias: todo está donde esperas que esté, algo que se valora especialmente si no te llevas bien con la tecnología. Tráfico y avisos que realmente ayudan Aunque sea la versión “Lite”, cumple bien en el día a día. Los avisos de tráfico y las sugerencias de rutas alternativas ayudan a evitar atascos sin volverte loco con notificaciones constantes. También avisa de límites de velocidad y cambios importantes en la carretera, lo que aporta un extra de tranquilidad, sobre todo en viajes largos o por zonas que no conoces. Ideal para quien quiere un GPS de los de siempre Este TomTom es perfecto para quien prefiere un dispositivo dedicado en lugar de usar el móvil, ya sea para ahorrar batería, evitar distracciones o no depender de la cobertura. Es un GPS honesto, sin florituras, que cumple con lo que promete: navegación fiable, pantalla grande y manejo sencillo. Conclusión: práctico, cómodo y sin complicaciones El TomTom GO Classic Lite 6” es una muy buena opción si buscas un GPS para coche fácil de usar, con buena visibilidad y que funcione siempre que lo necesites. No pretende ser el más avanzado del mercado, pero sí uno de los más prácticos. Y a veces, eso es justo lo que hace falta.
