The smooth little brother......
If you are a fan of Questyle products, then you will love this product. If the m18i and the M15i are the big brother ess based dacs, then this M15C is the little brother that packs a punch. If you just want something very easy yet engaging to listen to, if you are not necessarily an audio file but you want to give your headphones the best shot at presenting music to your ears then get this dongle. The sound coming out of this thing was so smooth and Rich. In many ways it very much reminds me of a cheaper version of the IFI audio go bar. (without the xbass or xspace.) When I tried to compare it to some of the other dongles in my possession to be honest I found myself just listening to music losing Myself in how great it sounded. Is it as analytical as some of the other ones no it's not but it's more engaging and Musical than some of the other dongles.. Ka13, 15 and 17. Ru7, go blue, go bar just to name a few. I found myself getting lost in the music way more than I do some of the other products that I've owned. To me this was very important because for once as opposed to listening to my new details to figure out what separates this from that, I lost myself to just listening to the music. When a product does that to you you know you got a winner. So if you just want something that plays music well that will make your head Bob to the beat of the song or where you can hear the weight of the vocals in an acoustic track then please give this dongle a try. Side note I realize that headphone pairing with some of these dongles people don't always talk about but I'm going to talk about it real quick. If you are an owner of Meze audio products to be truthful this dongle well none of the ones that I mentioned to be honest pair well with their headphones. I have tried them with the 99 Neo and classic and I found that they did not sound great with any of the dongles that I have in my home including the IFI audio Gryphon. Any other headphone I think pairs great . From hifiman to Audeze. I tried the M15 with the he 4xx, he6se v2, Ananda Nano, audeze lcd-gx, and many more including iems, and they all sounded wonderful. So at that price I encourage you guys to give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

I didn't know how muddy my digital music is, until...
I was introduced to the concept of DAC amps by a friend, who has been an audiophile for years. I have always liked music, and thought the Cd's were the greatest invention. However, I have noticed that it is difficult getting my 80's music to sound the way it did in the 80's with cassettes and LP records. Some of the song is crystal clear digital sound, while details get muddy in the middle. Music indeed has a resolution not unlike digital photos. So at lower resolutions (lower bitrate) music loses detail. These devices uses microprocessors and circuitry and some magic to convert from digital to analog, while setting free some of the captured details left out by the binary code digital playback. Who knows how they do it, but it works. It works better if you use the highest bitrate music you can access on your budget. One of the benefits I have experienced, is less listening fatigue. I thing my hears would get tired of being bombarded with square waves and harsh digital playback. Whereas with this DAC and can once again listen to music for hours at a time. I was also able to hook up the DAC output to my JBL PartyBox and listen to my music amplified in my house. Finally, I also had the idea to output my ROKU audio through this Questyle M15c DAC and it real brought out the voice audio, which I find gets lost in the 5.1 or 7.1 Dolby Theater mix we have become accustomed to listen to while viewing Television and Movies. I am hoping to get an invite to Amazon Vine, so I can do more reviews like this, so keep listening folks. I paid for this with my own money, and it was well worth it. Let me know if you guys want to see how I was able to hook this DAC up to ROKU audio, it is tricky, so I can share a video if there is some interest.

Get the m15i Instead!!! That's the real deal!
The looks are very impressive, but not the sound quality. I found way better sounding dongle dacs like the FIIO KA15 and the Shanling Onix Alpha at a similar price. Now I really recommend to get m15i. That dac is the real deal. The sound is superb and the price is worth the quality of this great dongle. Get it and thank me later! :)

Audio quality is good, but has some issues that may be potential dealbreakers for some consumers
I bought this DAC/AMP to pair with my Xenns Mangird Tea Pros on Cyber Monday. After almost 2 months of using my IEMs with this DAC/AMP, I can provide some of my thoughts and experiences: - The audio quality when it comes to just music is superb, there is nothing that I can notice that is wrong. - Most of the issues I came across arose when I used them with my portable Apple products such as my iPhone 16 Pro and iPad Pro -- I have no experience with issues on MacBooks and Android devices as I do not own any of them. - I have also used this DAC/AMP on my Windows PC and have not had any of the issues that I had with my iPhone and iPad. - Being on voice call with other people while listening to music through this DAC/AMP at the same time was impossible for me on my iPhone and iPad -- the voice call would take priority and the music just turned into crackling noises. - There have been countless incidents where the DAC/AMP completely disconnects audio from my iPhone and/or iPad, causing me to have to unplug and replug it into my device -- I don't know why this happens, but I suspect it to either be something wrong with Apple's new Type-C port, or that the wire that comes with the DAC/AMP has some underlying problems; all-in-all, it's an annoying and frustrating issue, but I can personally live with it for the time being. - I saw another review on this DAC/AMP talking about how there is popping when it comes to this DAC/AMP; I can personally vouch for that, but the thing is I have only come across this issue while using this DAC/AMP to watch YouTube -- a small but noticeable popping noise every time a YouTube video was paused, and it happened every few seconds. I've had my fair share of issues with this DAC/AMP, but ultimately I think it's an okay DAC/AMP for the price.

I think it’s good?????
This is my first DAC, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it certainly sounds better than when I had my sennheiser 650s plugged in via aux

Don’t waste your money unless you want a DAC that works 10% of the time
Constant disconnections, very minimal difference between low vs high gain, randomly drops audio regardless of device. Connected to iPhone, then iPad, then desktop gaming pc. Awful experience. It constantly disconnects from the source even though the red LED connection (lossless/hi-res) light is still lit. To “fix” the issue, you have to physically disconnect the DAC from whatever device it is connected to and disconnect the audio jack from that device then start over. Not worth the $100. Not even worth $40 in my experience. Just a subpar, poorly manufactured device that costs more than some or most brand name DACs on the market. Strongly not recommended.

Portable AMP/DAC done right. Outstanding.
This thing is amazing. Looks beautiful, small footprint, perfect connection with 3.5m or 4.4mm balanced. Sounds great. Don't overthink it, just get one and your ears will thank you. Pairing it with the Meze 105 AER: I didn't know that my iPhone could output that kind of lossless delight.

Don’t touch it, it may disconnect.
I cannot recommend this to anyone that moves around constantly. I use this as a daily device. Gym, work, home, errands etc. Maybe that is not the intended use case, because this thing is finicky. It’s hard to get this thing to work. Moving around constantly makes it lose connection, going close to fabrics makes it sound very staticky. Sometimes even having it too close to my phone causes interference or an odd sound that’s very audible and so very annoying. Also it drains my 16 pro max battery relatively fast. Dust inside of glass and included cable is not so great. For the price, I kind of expected better. This is no better than an apple $9 dongle but with more power. Small size is easy to carry around, looks beautiful but quality control lacks a bit because of the dust left inside. 4.4 balanced with my 7 hearts timeless AE packs a punch and I never need to max out the volume on my iPhone, nor I use the high gain setting. Overall, if you plan to listen while sitting on the couch, get this. If you have any sort of active lifestyle and you plan to bring this along, look elsewhere.
