My phone was constantly running out of storage because of all my photos and videos, and this made transferring them quick and incredibly easy. I was tired of managing my memory on my iPhone. Whike I could pay for more cloud storage, it will fill up quick. This allowed me to offload pictures and videos off of my phone and organize them on the drive with organized folders. The apps was easy to install and easy to use. This has solved a lot of my headaches and I know use this for all the iPhones in our household.

Great quality duel Flash Drive, both USB-C and Apple Lighting Port that’s on a swivel. I bought the 256Gb version. Just make sure you download the free Sandisk app which shows you a display of what’s going on with transferring files onto it along with a pause if your transfer very long. Recommend you monitor the transfer. Display has options on your file type. Since my iPhone photos had many variations of photos, videos, selfie, slow motion, etc I needed to choose the ‘media type’ option, not ‘Photos’ because it brought up all my photo varieties ( like 6) so I selected “All.” ….1,800 of what was on my phone Photo Album, which I had already maximize the resolution for this transfer. took approximately 40 minutes. Also, keep your device plug in, and I even put my phone in airplane mode. so not to interrupt the transfer. Now my cherished memories from 20 years ago are kept on my iPhone, iCloud and this metal well built duel Sandisk Flash Drive.

Connects well as long As your phones is not maxed out on storage. I note this because I went and read the 1 star reviews and most of them are about the processes not being able to complete (there’s a picture of the error message on one review if you think this is happening to you), or the device not being detectable, or having to use the app. Well for one, every flash drive that plugs into your phone needs an app. That’s just the way these work. Two: my phone backed up pics into folders I created and named on the drive efficiently for the size of the data I was transferring until I loaded up my phone to like 98-100% memory capacity then it would no longer connect well. I got those same error messages noted above. The thing is, to transfer data your phone has to make a copy of the data to transfer it, if there is no room to make a copy it can’t work! So after I deleted some unused apps that I could reinstall after I got pics and videos dumped, then I could finally get things onto the drive. 3- the reason this is a 4 star and not a 5 star is that the only content you can put on this drive via your phone is pics and videos. I have a bunch of old voice recordings from when my kids were little that I wanted to transfer and I can’t do it from my phone! But they are in my icloud, which i can access from my computer, and there, I could drag and drop those files onto the drive. It was round-about, but they still store, and I could see and hear them from my phone! Just couldn’t upload them from my phone.

⭐ 1 out of 5 — The Worst Customer Service I’ve Experienced I purchased a SanDisk memory drive (USB-C version) through Amazon, and what followed has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences of my life. Within just a few days of use, the drive failed completely. I contacted SanDisk customer support — which is a subsidiary of Western Digital — expecting a straightforward replacement process. Instead, I was dragged through five months of delays, repetitive emails, missed phone calls, and meaningless requests for information that SanDisk already had in their system. Despite explaining multiple times that I was using an iPhone 16 with a USB-C adapter, they sent me a replacement drive with an outdated Lightning connector — which was completely incompatible. It became abundantly clear that their representatives don’t understand the very products their company manufactures. Even after finally returning the defective drive as they requested, I still have not received a functional replacement. Instead, I’ve been subjected to more stalling tactics, like being asked to send photos of products they themselves shipped and more pointless back-and-forth communication. This is not just bad service — it's negligent and disrespectful of customers' time and trust. SanDisk (Western Digital) may once have been a reliable name in storage, but based on this experience, I can’t in good conscience recommend anyone purchase their products. Avoid this company at all costs.

A little slow uploading but I had 7,000 pictures. Still only took about 20 minutes

just starting to use, but was able to download the app and transfer images without any difficulties. I had postponed this task for quite awhile as I suffer from IT-PTSD... very grateful for an easy to use product.
