Great for my 7 year old. Easy for her to understand

I tutor student from grades K-5. This book is helpful for students grades 3-5. I use this with my student to "KEY" them into reading and or listening to the "KEY " words of a passage. Kids are required to MEMORIZE SO MUCH these days that they don't have time to read or listen to a passage to digest a passage in what is best for their learning style. this book has been helpful for me because the passage are not extra long and we have time to discuss.

I chose 5 stars for this purchase because it was exactly what it was advertised as, a valuable classroom asset, quick and easy to use. Great for second language learners and those behind 2 or more grades with skills. This book was $26 at two teacher resource stores near where I live and it was 10 to 12 $ cheaper through amazon.

Utterly love it! It's a perfect complement in order to teach my English classes!

I teach English to Italians and though the material I have is quite extensive one of the things that as ESL students they aren't always exposed to is this type of comprehension through serious interpretation. They concentrate on just each and every word with it's individual meaning and then hit blocks. It's typical of adult students.............however, I chose this to 'unblock' this. We learn it as native English speakers growing up, but it seems to get bypassed when teaching ESL. Looking forward to seeing the results I'm able to obtain with this!

I use this as one of the warm-up exercises for my grade 6 students. It's a great way to practice and get in the habit of using context clues to determine the meaning of unknown words and phrases.

I will use this product, but since it was for middle school and upper elementary I expected more activities per page. This would be a lot of wasted copying for the little amount of actual work on each page. I will use it, but not in the way I intended. Students would work through one page in less than a minute. There needs to be more "meat" on each page for me to feel like I have gotten my money's worth.

Brilliant again! Short snippets of writing. Could use a few more exercises but on the whole, great for doing the job it was designed to do.

Super book, good little exercises which build knowledge and provide good practise.
