Ingersoll Rand 23474661 Pressure Switch for SS3L3, SS4L5 and SS5L5/N5

Product worked great.

Just put one of these on my SS4L5 model purchased in 2014. The original finally quit on me, the contacts got stuck. I don't use it much probably why it made it 12 years. If this one lasts that long, I'll be all good with it. It fit and works like a champ. Only have one cycle on it butt was super easy to install and a direct fit. The part numbers are the same the listing just doesn't have the SS4 listed as compatible.

Hopefully this pressure switch lasts a little longer. This switch was purchased to replace the switch on our air compressor in the shop. Relatively easy to install and adjust.

The pressure switch failed after several years on my SS5L5 compressor. I was working in the shop and paused to wonder... what is that awful noise. The poor pump head was trying its hardest to shove 145-150psi into the tank, which is apparently the mechanical limit of the pump, and the noise it created was loud, funny if not borderline terrifying. This switch was a drop in replacement and already calibrated correctly. I did have to refabricate the unloader tube in my case as the old and new attach to the switch a little differently but that was simply done with automotive brake line bending pliers.

Purchased this as a replacement part for my Ingersoll SS4 We have a small auto repair shop and use this compressor daily. After a year of daily use the compressor would fail to stop once reaching 135psi. Under normal working conditions the compressor is turned on and once it reaches 135PSI it turns off. Once the compressor goes below 100 psi it kicks back on and stops when it reaches 135psi again. Well the compressor would fail to turn off after reaching 135psi and would make a loud clacking noise. We would have to unplug the compressor as even the off switch wouldn't turn it off. I replaced this switch and now it works as intended. It fixed my problem but I'm bummed that we had this issue in the first place.

OEM quality make sure it is the correct pressure range for your unit?

Works as it should however my pressure switch came at a 135 to 175 cut off not the hundred to 135 PSI psi. With the pressure adjuster screw all the way out it activates at 105 and shuts off at 140 psi

This thing is junk!! As another person posted its does not kick on or off at the correct PSI. I bought this in May and its now July and it will not kick on automatically. I have to switch it off and back on maunally for it to come back on again. It worked fine for just over 2 months and is now junk. The pressure switch this replaced was also a IR brand and that one lasted about 3 years. That one replaced my original factory one that lasted much longer and that one should have lasted nearly a lifetime. Either way, I'm not buying these OEM ones anymore. They cost WAY too much to have puke out as soon as they do.

Direct replacement, just what I needed. Unfortunate that I in fact needed it in the first place, but that’s a different issue. Easy install, no issues. Back up and running. 👍

My home garage compressor has limited use. After installing it worked initially and after 6 months I noticed that the compressor was not coming on and the pressure dropped way down after checking all the connections were good I decided to give it a tap and the compressor came on and pressured up. When the pressure dropped after use it would not cycle again and after tapping the unit it came back on

This was a rip off! It was seized up, so is useless!

Although the package indicated it was the proper replacement, the actual switch (which looked identical but had a different part number) was for a high pressure system. It's pressure cut off was set for 175 PSI. If installed and turned on, it could cause your tank to explode.
