Really Good Toothbrush Giving a Great Clean
It's a very good toothbrush, probably the best clean I've ever had from an Oral-B brush. The frequency of vibration is high, I've not looked into the technology used in the IO series but it's quite different from the older Oral-B brushes and it's very effective. One criticism is that like the cheaper versions of the old style brushes there is no grip rubber on the back of the brush they are very smooth and I find that the brush wants to slip down in my hand by the time I'm nearly finished brushing, the older Pro 3 series had the same problem but brush handles from say a decade ago were better in terms of the grip because of the soft rubberised back. The price for this brush was good but I got it on one of the Amazon disount days, good price though. The travel case is quite cheap but it is effective and it holds the handle and brush heads quite well, I did struggle to understand what the rubber thing with three prongs was for but eventually I realized that is was a stand for 3 brushheads, not sure that has a lot of utility :) The charger pouch I'm not sure that's really all that useful, I've not used it yet but it looked like a hard fit for the charger and cable. So far the battery has lasted a lot longer than my previous brushes, I'm definitely getting 2 weeks of use brushing twice a day. Really good toothbrush, hope it lasts a long time!

Great toothbrush
I got this when it was on offer and am glad I've invested in one. The timer in this toothbrush has genuinely helped me keep a track of how long I've been brushing for and flashes a rainbow when you have completed 2 minutes then shuts off automatically (guessing 2 minutes is difficult for me). The ultimate clean head that came with it has made my teeth feel a lot cleaner than using a manual brush. It can be a bit tricky to figure it out at first and the ads I see for these brushes online do feel a bit pushy, but it genuinely does make my teeth feel as clean as when you go to the dentist. Only con is the charging and this thing can really make a mess if you're not careful. Charging takes a while and you do need an adapter if you don't have an EU socket. The mess is usually inside the brush where the brush head slots into and is sadly unavoidable. If this is on offer and you want to get a good electric toothbrush though? It's definitely worth it!

Great quality product, thorough, teeth clean
Review for the iO3 model: REGULARLY 'on offer' at -50% (£49 paid for this one) Great quality product, through teeth clean. -1 for the Expensive head replacements -1 for the MASSIVE amount of packaging (but at least it was recyclable) Review: had an older OralB toothbrush where the battery was failing after many years- that model was non replaceable- this model DOES have a replaceable battery (good) The Clean is much better and with a great finish, gentle but thorough. has a pressure colour indicator and Three cleaning modes (more than enough!) the SAME motor as the more expensive models the SAME heads as the more expensive models -no real need for Bluetooth and app connectivity on the higher models? This was supplied with One head and the charger base. This also came complete with small hard travel case for the brush (and) a bag for the charger - though the charge lasts for many days so would not be needed on shorter travels. SUMMARY: I don't find there is a need for the features on the higher models, this iO3 is very good and mechanically the same. Backed by the years of professional research from OralB this is a quality and well made product. WOULD recommend this iO3 model

Nice electric toothbrush with Li ion battery and useful mode indicators on the handle
This is my first electric toothbrush, after my dentist recommended I get one (she didn't specify which model or brand!) because, though I manually brushed my teeth twice a day, she said I had gum disease. I did a crash course in electric toothbrushes and decided that I would like an Oral-B one, based on the choice of heads available, the reasonable price of replacement heads and the easy availability of the heads online and in shops. It also seemed that the small, round head design of most Oral-B heads would suit me, and my "ticklish" teeth would probably be less disturbed by this brand's action than the Philips Sonicare type. I decided I wanted a model which had a sensitive mode (and a spare sensitive head supplied with the toothbrush would be nice, but not essential). Some kind of case would be good, and I particularly wanted the toothbrush to have a lithium battery for longer usage between charges. Oral-B has only recently started providing these, and initially I found it hard to deduce which models had them. A chat with a helpful advisor at Oral-B sorted that out for me - the Genius models have always had lithium batteries, whilst for the other models, if the model number is in this format "Smart 6 6000", it's lithium and if it's "Smart 6000", it's NiMH. The earlier NiMH models are still widely available; lower down the range, they look identical to the newer versions, whilst for the Smart 6 6000, the design of the handle has changed - it is like the Genius models, whereas the Smart 6000 was a bit larger and differently shaped. Be aware that these newer lithium battery Smart and Pro models tend to have a little less in the way of accessories in the box (the old Smart 6000 had a wireless Smart Display that could be put somewhere near where you use the toothbrush - the new Smart 6 6000 doesn't have this but relies on the App for your smartphone, which the old version also used. Apparently the new model will work with one of those old displays if you have one, though). I haven't used the app much - I don't really feel the need for it and my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is currently buggy with the app anyway and won't connect, due to having Android 7.0 (there were comments about this in the Android App Store), so I used it with my iPad instead. I'm sure some will find it very useful - I just used it to change the colour of the ringlight at the top of the toothbrush to my favourite hue, which was fun! So far, so good with the use of the brush. I haven't set off the pressure sensor, and only drew a tiny bit of blood on the very first use, then nothing more (I am using sensitive mode and the sensitive head that came with it - I will graduate to other heads and settings when ready). I am really glad I got this version (on a Lightning Deal, so at a good 25% approximately saving - lucky I saw it in time!) because with Oral-B electric toothbrushes you can only change the brushing mode setting whilst it is turned on, and as I understand it, on the models below this one (such as the Smart 5 5000, Smart 4 4000, Pro 3 3000 and so on) you have to cycle through the settings every time if you don't use the standard one, and you need to know the sound or position in the selection order of the one you want, as there is no visual indication of the selected one. With the Smart 6 6000, like the Genius models, there is a display showing an informative symbol for the mode you want (whilst no symbol indicates the standard setting) and it remembers which one you choose and stays on it. You can check the symbol without turning the toothbrush on (though you need it turned on to change it). The battery status indicator is also more informative on this and the Genius models. The case for this model is a basic white, hard plastic hinged one, with nice, secure clips for the toothbrush handle and two heads. It comes with a CrossAction head, a 3D White head (the one for polishing/whitening teeth) and a Sensitive head (the original one which is densely bristled and has a flat cut to it, rather than the new, tufted type).
