One of the nicest keyboards.
TLDR: It's just awesome. Recommended. General: So this is my first SS keyboard that I've tested, so I will be mostly comparing to Corsair. First and most important, the switches are really good... this keyboard should be compared/competing to Wooting mostly. Omnipoint 3.0 actuation range and general 'feel' is awesome. And before continuing, I should also note — and it's a good 'weak point' you could say — NOT EVERY SWITCH is Omnipoint, and this is more noticeable in the full version: Numpad, Arrow Keys, and Nav Keys are NOT Omnipoint. I don't know if they're brown/red switches, also not sure if OEM or another brand. Being realistic, this doesn't make too much sense. Build Quality: I find the quality just excel. I really really like the 'feel' of the keycaps, it's like you're not touching plastic. It's like some kind of metallic/rough feel but really smooth. Software: Now the top of the cake — and also issues: the software. I read all days people running into issues with GG Engine, Sonar and etc (SteelSeries Brand-Software). You should know that on Windows 11 you are very likely to experience some issue. I have W10 LTSC and I've been running really smooth, 0 issues. So, you can modify everything: RGB Config using prism, Sync RGB between devices. You also have people-made apps for game-sync with the keyboard, providing info, example: Playing LOL, sets the screen to dragon/baron timers, updates if someone slays them, sets YUIOP color depending if your teammates and you are alive or not and much more.. Actuation strength from 0.1 to 4mm per individual key You can select groups Activate SOCD and Rapid Trigger It also has Protection Mode that's really useful You can set Meta Keys and double-level actuation (you can set a key to do two actions depending on actuation range) OLED, RGB and Feel: The OLED Screen is... well, it's just a nice thing to have. You can put gifs and it's really beautiful. It can also show game info, media info, and you have a volume wheel too. You can set actuation range from here. The RGB is really nice — I find it better than my Corsair keyboards, but that's personal preference. Wireless, latency and typing: I don't have any latency using wireless, battery duration is decent — not the best, but it gets the job. I use the dongle extension so I can charge it quickly if I have to. One final note about switches is that, IDK if it's me, but with these switches I can really feel the pressure I'm doing on the key and be precise. Wrist Rest: The magnetic wrist is solid and might feel not premium, but that's totally wrong. It has a really really NICE rubberish material and feels really comfy. The magnet doesn't even move. Profiles: Ending, you also have Quickset profiles (preset profiles made by people): Changing keys, actuation points, activating protection/rapid tap/SOCD etc. for each game, and you can set yours and make different profiles. Final Thoughts: I don't want to keep talking but I could review more aspects. It's a really nice keyboard.

Very good keyboard
This is the best keyboard that I have it’s macro built in keys are so fast for Fortnite it’s worth it for the $300 it made become a lot better at gaming so I recommend this keyboard highly to buy.

Super keyboard
The sound and the lights work amazingly. I cant connect the lights to my computer due to the software not being compatible with my Mac. Other than that I feel like the keyboard is well structured and quiet. I feel the battery life could be better but is not terrible. I like that it gives you warnings when it is getting low with the light array. Great value for money very well built keyboard.

No future mac support, and no light control w/o running Prism 24/7
Never have I had so much remorse over a keyboard, but SteelSeries has jumped the shark. I purchased this thinking that, like previous generations of Apex keyboards, I would be able to fully store the running configuration in the onboard microcontroller, but I was sadly mistaken. You can do most things just with that microcontroller, but you can no longer control the RGB lights. Even if you want just a basic, mono-color low level illumination, no effects, no per-key color control, etc, it still requires their Prism software to be running full time on your desktop. Let's consider how absurd for ANY company to require you to wasted your compute and RAM just to service a rudimentary input device. But it gets worse, so, so much worse, particularly if you want to use all capabilities of this keyboard. For instance: this keyboard will allow you to associate over bluetooth with three other computers and switch among them. Do they actually expect you to install that software on every freaking system? Even if it's a corp system for a WFH employee? Really?! What if any of those systems are macs? They "support" macs, but they have already announced that they will no longer do any more feature enhancements for mac, it's a dead platform for them. If you refuse to run their software you're left with a good hardware keyboard, but with no control over those lights beyond turning them off. I would actually be relatively happy with that *if* you could turn them off permanently *and* it didn't leave all the keycaps nearly unreadable due to the ultra low contrast of the translucent key legends that are intended to be illuminated. But, the reality is that even with brightness set to off, the keys still light up while you're typing, and with no Prism software running you only get that shifting rainbow effect... some of whose colors are actually quite bad for reading key legends as well. End sum: nice hardware, nice keyboard to use, but, for me, rage-inducing every time I have to look at it. Distracting colors shifting under fingers, and no way to set it to a nice monochromatic illumination that might actually be helpful in a darkened office during those late night call-outs. At this point, a presumptious company like SteelSeries can bite me. I don't want your software, I just want a keyboard that I can fully control without a permanent running software stack. I would have given them a pass if I only needed the software for firmware updates and perhaps occasional configuration. But, no, you think you deserve to be a permanent drain. Absolutely ridiculous. This company clearly only cares about vtubers. I am done with this company across the board.

Good keys, terrible battery life
Great keyboard keys. Good durability. Battery life sucks. It needs to be charged at least every week. I can't customize (or turn down/off) the lighting while on a Bluetooth connection.

The best tkl keyboard out there
Probably one of the best mechanical keyboards i have ever used, Steeleseries always known for their high quality builds. Battery only lasts 4~5 days though, seen people praise Logitech ones for lasting up to 13 days, i dont mind the 5 days charge though, i charge it when iam not home and it never died on me while playing but just stating facts. If you want longer battery life go with Logitech they are also a pretty good premium manufacturer and their products are amazing
