Nice work boots
Boots are really nice, recommend going a half or full size up, adding sole inserts does make it a little tight, but still comfortable. Additionally, I got 2 free Trojans inside one of the boots, unexpired, might have to show off the new boots in da club later and put to use my free gift.

Great Boot
Bought these as part of a 2-3 week contract that involved working in a production plant. They arrived on time. Fit was good. For those who might be concerned with style, they look great with jeans or chinos. They are not water proof, but I did put some mink oil on them which provided some water resistance. The boots broke in nicely with just a 1/4 mile walk around the neighborhood. No complaints. Read some reviews that talked about a back seam which caused irritation or blisters. I don't have such a seam on this pair. I would recommend probably doing half a size up if you are going to wear heavy socks. These fit me well but if I were to wear a pair of insulated socks I would probably want half a size up. All in all, a nice boot. Looks classy if you end up if the front office as opposed to the production plant side. Got plenty of compliments about them. Only negative side is they need some leather balm and a mink oil treatment before you put them into use. Beats boots I have tried on at Walmart or other similar "big box" stores. UPDATE: I noticed about 4-5 days after I purchased these the price went down significantly, about $30, they were still new in the box but I needed them in just a few days. I called Amazon to request a price adjustment seeing the difference was pretty stark. At first the agent told me they had a no price adjustment policy but I could return them and purchase a new pair. I pointed out that was pretty absurd seeing that I liked the item just the price change was about 30% in the just a few days. Plus I needed the item in about two days which would not have given the replacement enough time to ship. After being put on hold for a few minutes I think the agent got approval from the supervisor to simply credit my card. I was overall happy with the customer service experience, but almost every merchant has some sort of short term price adjustment policy. I know part of Amazon's business model involves "dynamic pricing" depending on demand, inventory, and supply, but to require a full return (with them paying the shipping) for an item just purchased in order to effectively get the lower price is both a waste of time/money for Amazon and a hassle for the consumer to have to mail back the entire product (especially during the holiday season). One further update, make sure to purchase the steel toe version of this boot if that is what you desire. There is a soft toe version that looks identically the same that is cheaper but does NOT have a steel toe. A friend found this out the hard way when he called me up to gloat he got a pair even cheaper then me. He was not so pleased with himself though when I asked if he got the steel toe version he required for work only to find out it was the soft toe one.

Fair to decent, comfortable, affordable.
Photos are after wearing about 60%-75% of days. They are comfortable enough, and I forget they're steel toe (and I don't need that but these were lower priced at the time). You can see in the photos how they have worn over seven months' time, take note of the crack in the sole. Are these good year welt construction? I don't know, but I also don't know if any cobblers in my area, so shoes that won't last have to be affordable. I expect a cobbler to resole them would cost more than half the price of replacement, so you know what that means. I expect these to last me another 5 months to make it a full year, and by then they'll probably be bald-soled. I never tested them for waterproofing but with that crack in the sole I doing they still are. Also, the shoelaces are starting to fray where the speed hooks are, so they'll need replacement soon I think.

Very Sturdy and Comfortable
I was really torn between these and the Gray Direct Attach Timberland Pros. These are heavier because have the Goodyear Welt. This is a must have for my boots. They were also on sale for $130 compared to the price of the DA TP ST at $160. I really like the Sturdy feel of these with the bottoms having hard rubber. This will hopefully last longer than Wedge sole on the Irish Setter Wingshooters. Irish Setters and Timberland Pros have always been the most comfortable and offer the best Protection. These are very comfortable and have a roomy Toe Box. Unfortunately they don’t come with the Timberland Pro Honeycomb Anti Fatigue insole. They come with a pretty thick foam AF Sole but it is not as good as the Honeycomb. I have already ordered on which was an additional 20$. I rubbed these down with some Mink Oil like I do all my boots before wearing. I really like the Honey Brown color that they are now. I got them for the lighter wheat look so when they dry I hope they lighten up. If they make these in the same Light Gray as the DA TPs I will buy them in a heartbeat. The Soles wear out on all the Irish Setters and Timberland Pros that I have Owned. I have had the Ashbys, Morabs, and Wingshooters by Irish Setters. For Timberlands I have had the Boondocks and their Composite Toe Work Shoes. I didn’t want to spend another $$180 to $250 on another pair of Irish Setters. I don’t want to pay $150 to get them Resoled when the Tops are worn out and stink. Timberlands are a great Value for the Price. These are an outstanding value for 130$. These would be perfect if they came with the HoneyComb AntiFatigue Insoles.

Excellent value, delivered with care and concern.
These are top notch boots, durable, stylish, and comfortable. They have replaced my previous favorite: caterpillar. And Amazon delivered them in pristine condition.

Pretty solid boot for a mechanic.
Been wearing these boots for about a week straight now and I'm quite pleased thus far. The construction seems solid and I did not have any of the poor stitching noted by a few other reviewers. I typically wear a 9&1/2 but decided, based on a few reviews, that I would go 1/2 size down (that was also partly because they only had size 9...) but I'm glad I did. They were indeed quite tight at first, and with the steel toe they don't provide much wiggle room, however, after wearing them anyways for about 6 hours the sole packed in just enough to provide a comfy fit. They are snug, but in a comfortable way. For that reason I would say they do fit as described, but consider a 1/2 size down if available if you are on the edge in trying to decide. As far as comfort, they are indeed very rigid and stiff when you first get them, I think mine may have been a floor model or something because my left boot was reasonably softer and had very very minor signs of wear. Either way, after about 3 days of wear they feel pretty good. I will also note that, if you go from wearing soft shoes and throw these on then they will still feel stiff and almost uncomfortable for a couple minutes, but then they feel fine. (I go from a desk job to a mechanic so when I change from loafers to these boots they feel like I'm wearing cinder blocks until I adjust). I also only lace them halfway, this gives me much more flex in my ankles (since I crouch alot), it also allows me to slip the boots easily on and off without tying laces each time and they still stay tight on my feet, this does make the laces really long though and I have to tie up a ball of laces to keep it from dragging. As far as the looks go, they are not that important to me, but if they are to you then know that the pictures are a little deceiving in that the boot has a much taller profile with a much bulkier toe then they appear online. The picture makes them look more like a shoe or an urban walking boot and in reality it isn't. Its a thick bulky work boot with a tall sole and rounded toe, and they are fairly heavy, I like the way they look, but it is different than the pictures in some ways. Overall I am impressed, I hope to avoid the reports of the sole separating from the shoe, but I don't expect it to be a problem. I am hard on my boots, but I also realize that mechanic work is much less demanding on footwear than some other professions, my biggest concern is fluids and slip resistance, which these seem to handle well.

Just arrived, will update with time
Just got the boots and they are for tree work. They just came in and the size fits well, they're sturdy but stiff so they need time to break in. They feel rough and heavy and high quality. My last pair were carhartts and had the sealing torn from the bottom of the shoe after only 6 months of use which allowed water to flood in and is horrible in the midwest because of all the wetlands there are. Hopefully these work out and I'll update my review with time. I give them 3 stars so far because the boots are on the cheaper side of other boots you can buy so I don't know how well it'll hold up but hopes are high with this one.

Best boot I have ever owned, updated review 2021 for 4th time.
UPDATE #4: JULY 2021 This set up boots I bought exactly a year ago have held up great. As I said in my previous updates I work 6 days a week in construction and wear these everywhere else as well, these are worn 7 days a week, granted Sunday is usually just work around the yard after church. Again, super pleased. One thing I am completely impressed with is that they stay comfortable the entire time, from new to worn out, they have nearly no break in period, in fact I'd say they don't have one, none of my sets have ever given my blisters as other boots or shoes have. Again very pleased by these boots. UPDATE #3: JULY 2020 Just bought these boots again for the 3rd time. This time they lasted about 14months. Treads are mostly gone, this time they got holes in the bend of the boot and toe, toe is typical for me. Reason i had to finally get new ones was the middle of the sole broke and made it painful to walk. Once again, very happy customer for a third time, lasted longer than any other boot I've owned. UPDATE #2: bought these for a 2nd time September 2017 because I've never had boots that lasted as long as these. I just bought my third pair because the ones I bought in 2017 finally wore out...19 months later and they wore out is because like 3 months into them I sliced both toes at work, but they stayed in together till just recently! Love these boots Bought the boot on my foot back on August 14th, 2015.. I have finally worn through the sole of the foot. I have cur these boots with razor blades and saws and grinders.. By accident obviously. Never ripped or come unthreaded. I've had Dewalt, among other brands and they never last a year. These boots lasted over two years, and I'm still going to wear them around the yard.. But I want thicker soles again for work consider to do carpentry.. Lots of nails. I wear these boots 6 days a week and even sometimes on Sunday.. I am super pressed.

Very well made and comfortable; sturdy. Look great
I bought these for my son who works outdoors and he is very pleased with them. He likes the suede finish, the fit, the comfort, the durability for a worker who wears them daily in rough use. They fit true to size although hs feet are on the narrow side. He said he didn't even need to break them in - that the fit was perfectly comfortable from the first day. He trusts them for safety as the steel protection is where it ought to be for maximum protection and comfort. This was a very good buy and definitely worth the price.
