Great quality. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this is an actual book. The sides are nicely painted gold and when it closed up it looks like a legit book. The flask is nice thick steel. I wish it was a little bigger but for the price you can’t beat it. It will be a great addition to my friar costumer for the renaissance fair.

Um, for $10, this thing is great. I purchased as a gag gift and wasn't excepting much but it is actually A LOT nicer than I anticipated and can certainly pass for a real book. Note: it does not say "Bible" it literally just says "The Good Book". Mine had the protective plastic cover that other reviews are noting (which I removed so my recipient thinks I am giving them an actual bible) but had no transfer of white lettering describing the product, it just kept the book in good condition as intended. The gilded edge of the pages are a very sparkly gold color. The pages are not all stuck together, they all have the flask cut-out but are free to flip. One or more in the beginning is left intact to cover the flask. The covers were of good quality and the embossing on the front was nice as well. I am not sure what it says in the few words under the cross...maybe something about drinking in Latin? I like the elastic band that allows the book to remain closed and the flask still secure during transport. The flask itself is stamped as stainless steel with a 4 oz. capacity. There is no connector securing the screw top to the flask itself so try to keep your wits about you so you don't lose it while imbibing. Although it looks basically like the pics provided by the seller I am adding some as well for reference since no one else had any up. I would certainly recommend this to someone in the market.

Hilarious gift

It was an okay quality for the price, wish it didn’t feel quite so breakable/ripable, but it was fine. Such a hit at the white elephant gift exchange! Did it’s job so only took one star and it’s appearance was pretty nice, good aesthetic.

Where was this back when I used to go to church? Certainly would have made the sermons more entertaining. Great prop for a costume, went amazing with the priest outfit I got.

I pulled this on some friends, letting them suddenly know I needed to consult with the "Good Book" before a meal. I told them it gave me fortitude before a meal when I drank from its contents. They about died until the flask came out. It is kind of a one-off joke, but you do end up with a decent flask, and I may bring it to the next college fb game this fall, and pull it out for inspiration when we inevitably fall behind. The book looks, especially from a slight distance, like a small bible, and appears to have been made out of an actual, though blank, book. The flask itself is of a decent quality, and travelled in my trunk halfway across the country without leaking a drop--it was inside the book, so any leakage would have been quite evident.

Comes with a flask, which was AWESOME! Hard cover and has pages like a real book. Small enough to fit in your purse! Totally hilarious and will use frequently!
