🖤 Landon King & Mia Sokolov 🖤
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.75/6. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5. GOR was one of my most anticipated reads of this year and I have to say that it didn't disappoint. I was very intrigued to see how Rina would write Landon in a way that we as readers would fall in love with because he was, for the past 3 books, the villain so she had a tough job ahead of her. The first 50% of this book I felt very unsure of Landon and my question throughout this part was how I would like him enough to want him to end up with Mia. I was intrigued and interested in this first part of the book because we learn how Landon's mind worked and what he was all about. I was keeping track of things we would do that made him more likable to me. 2 or 3 things i took note of, one of them being that he learned sign language to communicate with Mia and understand her and the other one was consent. He might have done some questionable things but whenever Mia would say stop, he would. I do love someone who understands what consent is. Mia was an interesting character. I loved her style and how she wouldn't hesitate to hit someone, namely Landon, when it was called for. I loved that Landon, knowingly and unknowingly, helped Mia discover her sexuality. I liked her relationship with Brandon, Landon's brother, and Maya, her sister, too. The other 50% of this book was what won me over. Landon continued his little acts of affection either because it was recommended by his brother and sister or because he knew that "normal" people would expect such things. He also did some impromptu things like take care of Mia once they had sexy time or just watering the plants she took care of in his art studio. I loved that Landon took the initiate to ask for help in dealing with Mia because somehow she was more than revenge or obsession. I loved the conversation he had with Aiden. I just love how Aiden supports his people no matter how neurodivergent they are. I love seeing the improvement in Landon's relationship with Glyndon and Brandon. I also loved that despite everything Landon did and said to everyone in his life, his brother and sister, still wanted to protect them and they still loved him. I especially loved reading the text exchange Brandon had with Mia and how he expressed his feelings towards Landon. He really loved Landon even though Landon was most of the time in a way a bully to him. Long story short Landon pulled it off. He won me over with his efforts to be someone to Mia but also with his little gestures. The third act conflict was something else. I wasn't expecting it especially coming from the parties involved. Not the best one imo but it wasn't enough for me to lower my rating either. I loved knowing more about Brandon and I love the guy. I must note that he has a suppressed side which to me translates to a dark one which means this very well be what connects him with Nikolai. I have more thoughts on both Niko and Brandon but basically I'm even more excited for their book after this one. It's gonna be an epic pairing and I genuinely can't wait to read it.

Absolutely obsessed with the book!
Rina Kent has done it again! God of Ruin had me hooked from the very first page, and I couldn’t put it down. It’s everything I love in a dark romance -intense, emotional, and completely addictive. But what really made this book unforgettable for me were the characters. Landon is cold, calculating, and dangerously irresistible. He has that signature darkness, but there’s so much depth to him that I couldn’t help but be obsessed. And Mia? I adored her. She’s fiery, strong, and never afraid to challenge him, which made their dynamic so gripping. Their chemistry was insane, and every interaction between them had me on edge in the best way possible. If you love dark, tension-filled romance with morally grey characters and a storyline that keeps you turning pages, you need to read God of Ruin! Rina Kent knows exactly how to create characters that stay with you long after the book is over. Highly, highly recommend! I’m also obsessed over the artwork in the deluxe edition!

Just like the other LOG books, I thoroughly enjoyed this one! It is not my favourite of the series, but it is in my top 15 books of all time (please don’t judge I read a lot lol) I think to get the full appreciation for this book, reading the entire series is beneficial. That being said it’s great as a standalone, you might just not get full appreciation for the characters because they are all developed over the course of the series. It is spicy, dark, and addictive! Check your trigger warnings before venturing into this book.
