Smooth operator… it is indeed a smooth operatah!
I love this slider. Out of the box it is ready for duty, no fiddling required, and it quickly earned its place among my growing arsenal of gear. The carbon fiber frame is feather light yet remarkably solid, which makes it both easy to carry and entirely trustworthy once set. The glide is nothing short of chef’s kiss, smooth to the point that even a modest shoot gains the aura of high production. For the price it is a marvel. Shots that once looked merely “quite good” suddenly appear as if crafted by a crew of seasoned professionals. Portability is the crowning virtue, as it slips easily into a bag and comes along without protest. If you shoot anything within reach of this rail, your footage will leap from respectable to “you did that?” with gratifying speed. Five stars for a tool that makes one look far more brilliant than the cost of admission suggests.

GREAT SLIDER TERRIBLE ZIPPER
This is unfortunate. The slider is great, but the zipper is so poor that I’m leaving a one star. This happened on the first day. A great bag now useless.

I Would Buy This Again
While there are motorized slides out there that are way cooler in theory a lot of them are heavy, loud, and have glitches even when they cost thousands of dollars. This camera slider is lightweight and can sit on even my cheapest tripod without issue, or with the fold out feet simply sit on a floor or table. It also makes absolutely NO NOISE while being slid from side to side which is absolute perfection for video shoots with audio straight through the camera or even with a shotgun mic mounted to it. The smoothness of the sliding action itself is also extremely clean and without hitching with a couple of other NEEWER attachements you can get some really great shots. I would list or link them here but I don't think that works haha, I will say that if you want a slider that is worth the price and has great performance this will definitely give you what you are looking for. I keep being reminded why I love NEEWER, they just keep elevating their products and delivering quality craftsmanship.

Smooth compact slider
This manual camera slider is easy to setup on flat surfaces such as the desk. The feet have a convenient design allowing you to fine tune the angle of the slider. The sliding action is quite smooth, without unwanted vibrations. Being a manual slider, the operator needs to control the speed manually. For the affordable price, this is one of the best executed manual sliders I've seen, which is great for casual usage.

This is a really good product
This is a fantastic addition to my collection of equipment that I use during cooking videos. Being able to move, slide it around, and easily access a different angle is very helpful. Given its lightweight, it's easy for me to carry it to where I need to, and its smooth motion takes the shakiness out. Setting this up is easy, whether by itself or on a tripod, it just works, as there are enough slots to hook it up where I need it. I kind of wish it was a bit longer, it would make some angles and effects a bit more awesome but it still works. I was disappointed with the last couple of products I got from Neewer but not this one, I am very happy with this.

Game changer!
The video tool I’ve been missing! This tool is incredible for filming smooth shots. So easy to attach of multiple different tripods and the multiple mounts means I can use my large canon or my iPhone. The glides are smooth and I couldn’t be happier with this. Even works without a tripod! The knobs are easy to turn and everything feels secure and well made. Just a solid, well built film and photo accessory that WORKS!

Short, but awesome.
Camera sliders have been around for years now. This one is relatively short, which can be an advantage depending on your shoot. For example, this size will help a lot with camera moves in a vehicle and other places where space is limited. This company is like the go-to for budget filmmaking gear. Never been disappointed.

Great value product - not perfect (but good enough) - hardly surprising for the money
Great value for money - does the job. There's a slight resistance when sliding along the rails which can make a smooth, slow pan a bit difficult but I just pan a bit faster at a higher frame rate and then slow it down in the edit.

Excellent Camera Slider!
I have used a number of sliders in my years as a freelance cameraman - from massive units to smaller ones. This unit by Neewer is perhaps the smallest unit I have ever used, and it is also one of the smoothest ones I have ever used. It short, it is an absolutely excellent piece of gear! If you figure out the centre position to the edge of the sliding block, and double that measurement, you will see that you get a total of just over 12" on a full slide. Some may think that's far too little, but that would be a mistake. One of the great movements of a slide, is the "reveal". If you start on a door jam - the side of a doorway, for example - a slide will reveal a room on the movement. If you are shooting an interview with a second camera, you can have a few foreground objects that the camera view will pass through on its slide. There are many ways to use a slider, and it can really elevate a rather pedestrian shot into something dynamic and exciting! The main rails on this Newer Slider are 1/2" diameter carbon fibre. (You have two, as this is a common two-rail slider...) Both ends are finished with aluminum stops that are fixed in place with Allen screws. That's great because if needed, the ends can be removed. On the underside of each end stop, there is also a 1/4" 20 threaded hole, drilled dead-centre. Mounted next to the end stops, there is a smartly designed base arrangement for using the slider on the ground or table-top. By rotating a bright red knob, short 2" legs can be swung down. The legs work on a ratchet gear system. It makes for positive stops that will not move, once set. You tighten that red knob to lock the leg into place. How great is the detail of a Newer Slider? Each rubber foot at the base of each leg, is mounted onto a threaded rod. This means that you can adjust the length of each leg to an exact position. If the floor is not level, you just make an adjustment and drop one foot down a little bit more. Another red threaded locking washer will keep the foot in place. In the centre of the two rods that make up the slider, Neewer has mounted a fixed block underneath. It runs about 2 5/8"across and about 1 3/4" long. It serves to purposes. First, it helps to keep the rails fixed in place with no flex or movement. Second, it provides addition mounting solutions. There is a single 3/8" threaded hole in the centre, along with four 1/4" threaded holes surrounding the larger one. This allows you to mount the unit on a tripod or any other kind of platform you have in mind. The sliding block is nicely made. There is a built in "bulls-eye" level to aid with getting the whole slider in a level position. A large, round rubber mat surrounds the 1/4" fixed screw that rises from the centre. And at each of the four corners of the centre block, you have two 3/8" and two 1/4" threaded holes for mounting anything extra you want or need. Nice! Most important, how is the movement on a slide? Excellent! It is smooth without any bumps, dips or "slow spots". This can happen with either defects in the rails or the sliding platform. Both are well made. You can adjust the ease of the slide by adjusting the centre lock knob. If you turn it clockwise far enough, you will lock the sliding stage. Back the knob off some, and you adjust just how much drag you want or need. Bottom Line - An excellent small scale slider! Compact for easy location use. Can support up to 2KG of weight. Very smooth slide and with an adjustable brake. Comes with a few extra bits for attaching phones or "action cameras". Even has a nice 1/4" ball head. All parts are beautifully made. Great padded case, too! A relative small investment that can yield big, professional results!
