524185P Motor Rotor Assembly Fit for Fisher & Paykel Drawer DishDrawer

I ordered this motor for my mini bar’s Fisher and Paykel DS02 dishwasher. Recently the dishwasher displayed a “F2” error code which led me to diagnose and determine it was in fact a faulty motor. The product arrived immediately (next day) and packaged sufficiently for safe transport. I read some other Amazon reviews that said it didn’t fit. When I attempted to install this motor I assumed as well that it did not fit. I spun the new motor left and right 20+ times trying to get it to fall into the “seated” position with no luck. I was about to give up and assumed it simply didn’t work with my dishwasher, specially because it looks slightly different than the OEM motor. I realized there are three small plastic strips/guides on the motor and inside the dishwasher that MUST align in order for the motor to seat. I placed a finger on one of the guides and guided it into the appropriate slot, one attempt, and it fit in perfectly. The motor is currently running and seems to work perfectly. I will update my review after a few months of use but this inexpensive motor saved me a chunk of money on repairs and as of now, appears to be a GREAT value and fair price. Installation (once I figured it out) was crazy simple. No tools needed. No plugs, no wires, no clips, no screws. Literally less than 2 minutes to install. Side note…these motors only last a couple years depending on usage. They are small, magnetic, and constantly surrounded by heat. Challenging environment for any tiny motor to sustain in. I would absolutely recommend this to others!

Fits great and works perfectly for the first few cycles. Given that is about 1/3rd the price of the authentic Fisher and Paykel rotor, seems like a great deal!

Works! It’s so nice to have aftermarket parts available now at 1/3 the price. Not sure exactly how long the magnet will last in this one, but the one I got has already survived the heat for a year. For anyone who’s not aware, high heat (especially over 200° F) will ruin most any magnet, so it’s just a matter of time before these need to be replaced.

This worked perfectly. Unfortunately the old one in my dishwasher had completely melted so it would not come out as it was fused to the bottom of dishwasher. This was a major job to get it out and the kit motor assembly which is underneath was damaged in the process, so that had to be replaced also, basically had to take the whole dishwasher apart! But all is well and its all working like new. Lessons learned and I will be monitoring this part (the motor rotor) and probably replace annually as it is an easy part to replace.
