G4 LED Bulb, 12V Bi Pin, 20W Halogen Bulb Replacement 6000K

I purchased these to replace a burned out halogen bulb in my Sunnex Model 700 work light. They are as bright as the halogen bulb, and installed easily enough, (see photo). The big plus is how cool they are when lit. Before, the shade of the light was very hot to the touch, but no longer. In fact, the shade is almost ambient temperature, even after the light has been on for a few hours. A word of warning, however. These bulbs are considerably bigger than a standard G4 halogen bulb, (see photo). They don't quite fit into the Sunnex 700 and I had to leave the screw on housing slightly loose to accommodate the extra length of the bulb. I also had to ream out the reflector inside the housing to allow the larger diameter bulb to pass through. So, make sure you have the room to install these bulbs into whatever housing they are going in to.

Wow, am I glad I found this. I have been wanting to replace the halogen bulb on my microwave since we moved into this house. Unfortunately, by looking at the original bulbs, I only find the LG replacements, which are over $20/ea and are the exact same thing I already have. I don't like the heat they give, nor the yellowish light they provide. All of our kitchen lights are bright white and we like it that way as it looks cleaner, and provide better visibility for cooking (that's what kitchens are for afterall, right?). I took a caliper and measured the prongs, researched the different types of bulbs, and went ahead ordering these. Wow, what a difference do they make. They are brighter, and provide the white light I was hoping for. The only negative point does not have to do with the bulbs themselves. Unfortunately, my microwave provides the type of dimming that is not the best for these bulbs. It looks like it is a frequency dimming, rather than a power dimming. On high, these bulbs are awesome. On low, you can see the flickering, and I'm assuming they will end up not lasting long if I use them on low. Luckily, we only use the lights on the microwave/hood while we cook, and that's when we need them on high. If you will be using the low setting (or night-light setting, if your appliance has the option) make sure you look into how it provides it, or if the manual mentions the compatibility with LED lights before purchasing; otherwise ymmv.

Great lights bright and work well

This bulb is being used to replace a failed desk lamp bulb. First, the price was very god, the ijternal as well as external packaging was also very good. The installation was exactly what was needed and worked great. If there is any compaint at all it is that the brightness is a bil less than the in andescent bulb it is replacing. I cannot offer an opionion about longevity since I have had the new buld. week. I fully expect them to be very long-lasting and , being LED, are very energy saving. Thanks.

Excellent choice in replacing a hot halogen bulb. Higher light output without the heat produced by previous light source. More energy efficient. Compatible with light socket pin base. Color temperature and color renditions improved.

I only like daylight bulbs. Yellow looks gross and way too 90s. These fit perfectly in my LG microwave stove top lights. There is no need to fit the tiny bulbs into a specific sized slot, so the size difference of the base is no big deal for me. But if yours has a only a specific cm fit, you'll have to find the same size base as your old bulbs. I put one side in and turned it on for only a second to take the picture and then turned the lights off to change the other side. The old lightbulb was SO DANG HOT only being on for like 30 seconds. These new bulbs are SO much better and not as hot. The old ones seem so dangerous. The white daylight looks so much better and fresher. I have no idea how long they last. If I don't fix my review then they have been fine since October 19, 2021 until whenever you have read this.

Bought these to replace 5 halogen 20w bulbs in a brand new vanity light. No dimmer switch being used. Put them in and turned on the light only to see flickering, almost like a candle, probably amplified because all 5 lights were flickering together. The color spectrum was nice at 6k, but they weren't as bright as I expected although they are about as bright as the halogens (I expected the LEDs to be brighter for some reason). Put the halogens that came with the light and it works great. Maybe it's the transformer in the vanity light, who knows, but they flicker for me so back they go. 1/18/21 Just to be fair, I don't think these bulbs have any kind of actual defect. The flicker was almost certainly due to the fact that I was trying to use the original transformer that came with the halogens in the fixture. That transformer didn't have the correct output to drive these LEDs. I ended up going with a larger/brighter LED bulb but had to replace the power supply with a proper one to get satisfactory results. Some LED replacement manufacturers actually warn about this extra requirement (not this one, at least not when I bought from them), so I wanted to leave a fair review for what is probably a fine bulb (but still wasn't bright enough for me to use as a replacement). Upgrade from one to three stars.
