Tobbie the Self-Guiding AI Robot in Yellow Design

I found this a really good fun thing to build and it works surprisingly well. It is probably more difficult than a standard 8 ear old could easily put together. Some parts have to be assembled precisely correct otherwise it will not work at all. I used a sharp knife to remove the moulding burrs which probably isn't suitable for a younger child. For it's price and complexity it is a very well designed and manufactured product but it is still made of relatively flimsy plastic and if you drop it or squash it, then it will break and I doubt it will be repairable. It walks on any relatively smooth flat surface (carpets are a struggle) in the direction the head is facing, which rotates through 360 degrees. It operates autonomously in either a back away from objects mode or a follow objects mode. It does not come with any form of hand held controller. The assembling is the main entertainment of this product as once assembled and played with once, there is not much more you can do. I have replaced the existing controller with another that I can reprogramme. Overall I think it is brilliant but anyone without a specific interest in robotics might find it a bit limited.

This was a great toy, kept my child busy for hours to put it up! Lovely constructive and entertaining product! A must if you have kids that like to build stuff

I tried to put it together with a 7 year old and they are just not old enough to understand the intricacies of the gears and the patience to spend a few hours assembling the robot. While the end result is great, I would suggest not buying this for a younger child. The quality of the parts is great, overall very solid and comes with clear instructions. This is a noisy toy, as in, the gears make noise when it's walking around, but it is also not intended to be used on a daily basis. It's very interactive and the joy of it is piecing it together.

As soon as we received it we started to built. It took as a little but of time but the kids stayed awake till 1am to build and then they played till 2am. The next day they were so happy that took the toy everywhere. The most important part is that made them realising they can build robots they don't have to just be consumers. Great idea and after spending hours trying to fix it myself with my kids... Turned it on and it was louder than my vaccum cleaner! Would not recommend for younger kids, also there is no way a child under age of 9 will be able to put one together without cutting themselves. Some parts are ridiculously sharp.

Funand easy to assemble. It doesn't take too long to complete the robot.

Bought as a santa sack gift for my 11 year old. He struggled to construct this. It was eventually built (and rebuilt) by 2 different adults. We have been unable to get this working. It's been really disappointing, as it looks great. Unable to speak to anyone regarding the item. It's little but good for its size. Instructions ok for an adult, bit my son struggled.

Leuke robot die je zelf moet bouwen en die kan volgen of obstakels ontwijken. Het in elkaar zetten is wel ingewikkeld en moet echt door een volwassene gedaan worden.

Hard assembly, screws are much bigger then the holes .. resulting in a non walking robot .. i would ask you to take it, fix it , and return it back

Comprato per regalo natale: lo abbiamo finito oggi. Smontato e rimontato 5 volte perchè bisogna essere precisissimi non era perfettamente funzionante. È stata un'emozione grandissima per il bambino di 6 anni, dopo tanto impegno (con supervisione) vederlo funzionare correttamente. Consigliatissimo. Mancava un pezzettino che ho ricostruito con colla a caldo. L'eccesso di plastica difficile da tagliare con le forbici l'abbiamo eliminata con lima per le unghie

Lätt att bygga ihop. Väldigt få funktioner. Går framåt eller följa ett objekt inom 10cm. Finns inget som är AI med denna grej
