I was amazed at how easily I cut maybe a dozen pine tree branches that would have required me to move a ladder multiple times, and pull a gas chainsaw cord while on a ladder. Some of the branches were 6" in diameter, and this tool worked perfectly. There was still plenty of battery power left when I was done for the evening, but I got a couple of extra batteries so I can just switch them out for larger jobs. I haven't tried it yet disconnected from the pole, but at least on the pole at full extension, this is an awesome tool. I got extra chainsaw also just in case, but may not need them for quite a while.

Fantastic value. I have been using this for almost a year and it as sharp as it was on day one. Cuts 6" limbs like butter. The best electric tool I have ever purchased.

This thing did everythig i needed it to. The chain has a tendadncy to slip..but thats ok. I had to learn to let the blade get up to full speed before trying to cut. The guard just broke and fell off during use,Guess i'll have to super glue it back. Great for tree branches and smaller sized tree trunks

For the money, this is a great product. The first one I bought, was just the saw & 2 batteries, it lasted about 1 1/2 yrs when a bearing went out inside of it. Lasted a lot longer than I expected because I used it alot. The saw is very handle, eats up wood and comes at a great price. So I went ahead and purchased this one and it works just as great and the batteries from my first one also fits the new saw. The replacement chains are cheap but make sure to pay attention and purchase the correct one. They are measured by links. Pay attention to the chain tension. It will loosen and the chain will come off over time. Make sure you do not tighten the nut up too tight because you are dealing with metal in plastic. But none of this is a deal breaker. I will buy another one when the time comes.

I had many tree branches growing on the house and near the cable and power lines attaching to the house so I wanted to cut the branches before they became a big issue. The saw goes together easy. But it has more flex in the pole when using the extension. It does a nice job of cutting limbs, as long as you don't exceed its rating. It will cut larger branches, but it take more work. I was able to cut 2" limbs without problems. It is an interesting setup with the controls and battery on one end, and the motor at the saw end. It makes it slightly top heavy. But once you have it in place, and weight helps with the cut.

Damn, this is a great new tool! It works really well—I was really putting it to the test, and it held up. I love that you can take it off the pole and use it handheld too. It’s way better than dragging out a giant chainsaw. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. It’s not super high-end, but it’s good enough to earn 4 stars and get the job done. I got a quote for $800 to cut some branches, so I figured I’d buy the tool and do it myself. Go get this one—it’s solid.

Bought this for easy pruning without the use of a ladder or cord. The saw is lightweight and easy to use, as is the pole. I followed the assembly instructions, fully charged the battery and added the oil. This unit literally lasted two whole minutes before it shut down, never to work again. I'm guessing it was a dud, since other reviews raved about it. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me and so it went back.
