What is the difference between this and the bar form? Any difference in ingredients?

It's ideal for hats, shoes, and gloves, where you wouldn't want waxed fabric in direct contact with your skin. Our bars are also great for quickly re-proofing factory waxed and oiled garments. Our Fabric Dressing is melted down when applied, thus permeating deeper into the fabric and yielding a more factory-waxed appearance. This is ideal for multi-layered coats and jackets, or for re-proofing factory-oiled fabrics.

What are the exact ingredients?

This all I've found, "natural ingredients including the highest quality beeswax and our proprietary blend of plant-based waxes and oils."

I have of Dickie canvas pants and would like to make them into a pair of tin pants. Will this work? If yes how many cans would it take?

Our Fabric Wax and Fabric Dressing will work on most any type of fabric. Because our wax is made from all-natural ingredients, it will generally bond best with natural fibers (cotton, hemp, etc., however it is also very effective on blended fabrics where the proportion of natural fiber to synthetic is in the majority. Depending on the size of the pants I'd recommend three or four tins for untreated fabric. On our website there is a 15% discount on a three pack and free shipping over $40.00.

Can this be used on a crushable felt hat?

You don’t want this

Used this on an army smock to try to get a Fjallraven type Greenland wax finish. I had already done a couple of coats of greenland wax and it had a good effect, but I had read this stuff was good on some blog so I thouht I would try it out. Almost used a whole can on one coating, it was really hard to apply as it kept drying out. Really unpleasant odour afterward. Also felt rubbish. Do yourself a favour and spend less than half as much on Greenland wax and have it last 4 times longer for a better effect.
