I bought this "bug zapper" to keep the moths, flying beetles, and tons of other insects that were attracted to my bay of windows and glass doors on my back porch attracted by the flashing TV and living space lights. I live deep in the woods. I have two cats that always want in the back doors (deck) at night and as soon as I open the door, so many insects get into the house. I am absolutely amazed how well this works. I put this on my deck railing top. I put it in mode II (meaning it turns on and off on its own and charges via solar during the day). You can plug it in (USB) but I only did that day one to make sure it was working, otherwise it does its thing day in and day out. Cleaning: Where I live, this unit kills so many flying insects, I clean it every two or three days. The only reason I do it so often is because the "grid" gets filled with dead insects. If anyone has stress tested this unit, that is me. What is so nice is you set the unit on its side and apply a light spray of water from a hose. Flip it over and do the other side and that is it. All of them come out. The directions say wait 5 minutes before turning back on to let the water drip off the bulbs and electric "grid" but I do it in the morning and let it dry while charging during the day. I have started it wet however there was a short period of time that the "grid" cracked and snapped for a few minutes. No harm, no foul, but I think that just puts unneeded use of the unit. So here is the interesting thing about on/off cycle. I live in Virginia. At this time of year, and three weeks ago that I deployed this unit, it would turn itself on around 8:00 pm. Now, three weeks later, it turns itself on around 8:15 as it stays light later. Highly accurate time "to-on". I am an early riser and the unit is still on until roughly 5:00 am. Then it recharges itself. I read so many of the reviews out there. There are some that had a unit that failed early. It happens. I hope my unit continues, it has only been three weeks. However, assuming it lasts at least a year, I would buy another.

Awesome buy. It definitely does work and no noise. Worth every penny we spent. Easily clean with just the water hose. The stick legs makes it stable in any weather.

In a part of the country that is very humid and wet, think hasn’t killed a single mosquito so no signs it actually works. It also is not water proof at all so idk how I would even clean it. After 24hrs one bulb died and where it connects its produces no power. The solar does not charge it. Thing barely last 45mins on a cloudy day or at night. Complete junk and waste of money.

Does a very good job with mosquitoes. We do not have nearly a problem as we used to have. Charges all day and works most of the night

Great bug zapper, easy to assemble, charges very well by the solar panels, versatile placement options with posts for in ground placement or chain for hanging placement and fair price. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because we had to re-glue the battery pack. Overall I am very happy with it and think it is a great addition to our backyard oasis.

bought this to combat the south Florida mosquito's . so far i can say i've noticed a drop in interactions. It maintains a charge all night even when somehting gets stuck in zap mode. it worked so well I I gifted it to tw family memebers.

Works extremely well!! Very happy! Kills a lot of bugs and stays on for many hours. I wake up after midnight and it’s still on and zapping bugs. Highly recommend.

This works very well for it's intended use. The reason for my 3 star review is for the actual size, it's definitely much smaller than what I was expecting. I don't necessarily believe it works for up to 2000 sq.ft however it does attract lots of flying insects to the point where I am spraying the bug zapper down about every day or every other day. It's very easy to clean you just spray it with the garden hose

Fits as expected. Works. Would definitely buy again, but since I got 8, I think I won't have to for a while. REcommend.

Works great. Bugs zapping like crazy. Only issue is the only instructions that came with the item was in a foreign language.
