This has been a great tool for testing the batteries in my various cars and also for helping out my neighbors and friends too. It can very quickly test the cold cranking amps of your current automobile battery along with validating the alternator charging functionality. It has been very helpful for troubleshooting no start electrical conditions. I checked the voltage displayed on this tester against my calibrated Fluke DVM and it was 100% accurate. This tester is easy enough to use that I could hand it to my kid and they'd be able to check their car's battery and charging system without any instructions. Just need to follow the clear prompts on the menus. The zip up soft case this tester comes with is handy to protect it in a trunk and the case has space to store the product manual if you need it. I paid ~$60 USD for this tester, so it wasn't the cheapest, but I gladly pay more for accuracy and complete testing capabilities over the less expensive automotive testers on Amazon.

I spent days searching for a good unit. This has great reviews and is sold online a lot. I decided to buy it. I'm so very happy that I did. This unit is awesome and is 100% accurate. I even tested this against other devices and this is spot on. I bought a brand new odessey performance battery for $400 and I bought as well to test. The battery says 765 CCA. This device says 770 CCA. That is awesome. I love the color screen and how big it is. So easy to use. So many features on this little device. It also measures votage accurately. Great functionality and battery life is very long. So very easy to read everything. I highly recommend this.

Works perfectly. This machine saves me from doing extra work to test the life of a battery. Great tool to have on the road when traveling.

Update: I updated the review to 4 stars because Foxwell customer service reached out to me on their own, they have wonderful support. Original review- I wanted to love this product. I tested this against two other Foxwell battery testers, one of which their flagship BT705, second the NT301. And a third battery tester of a different brand. The Foxwell BT705 and my other cheaper different brand was very close was testing several car batteries one of which a known bad battery. This particular Foxwell BT301 voltage was close to accurate, the CCA was not too far off, the SOH was extremely wrong, way off. The other battery testers shown in the mid 20’s for SOH, this BT301 showed 57% SOH, in a known bad battery with a dead cell. The SOC seemed accurate. And the battery resistance was a little bit higher than should be. This is all compared to other units I tested. The biggest discrepancy was the SOH, completely not accurate. I’m very disappointed. If that was fixed I would rate it much higher. SOH is an important thing to be accurate. This BT301 fails due to this

Good quality and sturdy. Works great

The tool worked the first few times I used it. Though after owning for 1.5 years and using on less than a dozen batteries (how often does one test batteries as a shade tree mechanic?) the screen started to flicker and then just died. Tried on multiple batteries thereafter and still the unit is unresponsive. I contacted Foxwell for support and their response was to buy another one since the one year warranty is out. No thanks. I appreciate it's a $60 tester, but it should last more than a year and a half and a dozen batteries.

This is yet another incredible product from Foxwell. This gadget performs multiple tests which are critical for diagnosing an electric issue with either your starter, alternator or battery. The settings are easy to use. Battery life is excellent as it's powered by the battery you're seeking to test. It's completely phantom powered. The accuracy of the unit when comparing it to more expensive testers is on par. This unit offers more utility features and tests that more expensive units fail to offer. The value for the money is incredible here. If you're a DIY mechanic, shade tree mechanic, weekend warrior or professional, don't miss out.

Very easy to use and understand , after charging my battery and testing it , the result was confirmed by the tester cranking was low compare of what the battery was suppose to give .

Tested 2 batteries,1 good 1 bad. Both tested the way they should. Only 4 stars because although it tests a 6v battery, it doesn't do a capacity test leaving it kind of useless for testing 6v RV batteries
