Solved my 45ยฐ slope problem
I have a small but steep 45ยฐ slope that has been a problem for years. Water runs off before it can soak in and I have attempted to solve it in the past with ugly useless board terracing. This geo grid is just perfect. I smoothed out the slope and set aside the extra soil. Then I laid down a section of geo grid and locked it down with long landscape staples. The package includes staples but not as many or as thick as I wanted. I then got 4 bags of garden soil at home depot and mixed it about 50/50 with native soil, then used that to fill in the geo grid. I could hardly believe how easy this was and how well this soil mix stayed in place when I carefully watered it in. The next day I planted the rosemary from a flat. The sections are only 10" so you can't put a large plant in, although I opened one section up to give me space for a one gallon tree. It's been a few days now and the soil is staying in place incredibly well. The water is penetrating the underlying native soil with no run off. I am overjoyed with this product. It's a terrific value. BTW, I did this by myself in one day and I'm 79 years old. It will be a snap for you! Buy it!

Good product
This has worked out great for a bank out front. The mulch has stayed and hasn't washed out.

Holding gravel in pretty well so far
They work pretty well, only issue I had were the garden 'U' stakes they came with were useless. I installed these on some hard pack soil/gravel, an old driveway so I can't completely fault them... I ended up using metal timber spikes to secure the fabric to the ground... Other than that it's been holding gravel in on a slight incline for almost a year now and I haven't lost any rock from tires spinning or anything.

Durable and easy to set up
I have dense grade (1โ rocks down to dust) filling the holes and have maybe 1/2โ or so covering. I just used my tractor to flatten the area โgood enoughโ (didnโt check for level or anything) and put it straight over the clay. The stakes were easy to use since my clay was wet, but spots that had gravel previously took a lot of work to put in. If you have hard ground, definitely upgrade yourself to better quality stakes. Iโll be honest, I didnโt watch a video or anything. Just kind of went for it. I have two horses that stand on it and walk over it constantly, drive my tractor over it, and we have also had lots of rain and snow that has made me absolutely delighted that I installed this. I believe I have had it installed for a month or so, I will update another time further in the future to speak on the durability. You can definitely tell where the grid isnโt - the dense grade likes to move around. I packed it in real good, and itโs amazing. For the price especially, I am a fan and will be ordering again once the weather is good. I ordered three boxes and went three wide in front of my gate, and one wide in front of my barn. One wide is plenty enough for a tractor (assuming you feather out on the sides if your path is raised) and three wide is perfect for a spacious vehicle path.

Did Fine - Worth It? Not Sure Yet.
I am not sold that these actually improve the rock moving. 2" tall and then you bury it with about 2" more of gravel. We have driven several cars over the area and an SUV. You still see the tracks. You see rocks move. Not a bunch, but more than I thought. I'm sure the rocks will settle so we'll see. Worth it - I'm not sure yet. Also they should send you two bags of staples. They know better. We had to fill in edge areas before we could fill in the rest so it held well while pouring (see picture) and after everything is poured and we are smoothing out, some areas still need worked where the product pokes through (see other picture).

Hard pass
These grids continue to bunch up under the surface making\nIt very difficult to keep them in place. The way we need them to be

Excellent Grid Performance
2" grid locks it in tight with crusher grade gravel and a topping of granite fines to lay flagstone or river rock pea gravel

Great Ground Grid!
We are super happy with the sunnyglade 2โ thick ground grid. Itโs black in color and flexible for installation. It appears to be very durable and I anticipate it to look beautiful once installed. Material is thick so I recommend using heavy clippers for cutting to size. Installation hardware is included!
