An easy fix for a harsh light
Purchased in hopes of warming up an LED light, and it worked beautifully. The light in our new ceiling fan had three color choices, but they were either pink, harsh cold white, or โinterrogation blueโ. I was able to trace the light cover around one of the gels, cut it, and place it inside the light case. Ta-da! Our $200 โdid-we-make-a-mistakeโ fan light was transformed in minutes to a beautiful light with just a hint of warmth! And, thereโs plenty left to do other lights in the house!

Pretty accurate, perfectly useable
For the price, I wasn't so concerned with durability (but it is REALLY thin, flimsy stuff that will crinkle the first time you touch it), but I was worried if it would be color accurate enough to use, and man was I impressed! The image compares a daylight COB with the 1/2-strength sheet (or the third weakest, whichever that is), to a bicolor COB set at 3200K. For both shots the camera was set at 5600K in RAW, and when I changed the WB to 3200K in post, the two photos were almost indistinguishable, even running the picker tool across them in Photoshop. Not only do I think I'll use this, but it'll give a new lease on my old daylight-only lights. Excellent buy!

Decent Gel Kit for Beginners
This 5 piece gel filter kit is a decent option for photographers looking to experiment with warm tones and color correction. The variety of orange and gold tones (Full, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 CTO) provides enough versatility for different lighting effects, and the size (16x20 inches) is large enough to cover most standard lights. For the price, itโs a good starter kit for anyone wanting to add some creative lighting to their photography or video projects. However, the quality of the gels left something to be desired. The material feels quite thin and delicate, and after just a few uses, I noticed some signs of wear, like small scratches and tears, particularly when using them with strobe lights or continuous LED setups. The gels also tend to wrinkle easily, which can affect the lighting consistency, especially for professional shoots where precision is key. Another drawback is that the gels donโt hold up well under heat. When placed close to stronger lights, they began to warp slightly, which is something to keep in mind if youโre planning to use them for extended periods or with high-intensity lights. They are fine for short sessions or lower-wattage lighting, but durability could be improved for long-term use. Overall, this get filter kit is okay for hobbyists or beginners wanting to experiment with color gels. While it gets the job done for simple setups, the lack of durability and heat resistance makes it less suitable for more serious or frequent use. If you're a professional or need something that will last through multiple shoots, you may want to invest in higher-quality gels.

Great option for warming up LED torchiere!
I bought an LED floor lamp from Amazon and unfortunately picked the wrong light temperature - the result was a very harsh white light that just didn't work in my room, but it seemed silly to throw out an otherwise working lamp for that reason. It occurred to me that some kind of light filter might help so I got these. The second-lightest filter was perfect, the light is still very bright but much less harsh. I just cut it into the same round shape as my lamp and used double-sided tape to stick it on! (Note this will only work with LED lamps that don't get too hot and have a nice flat surface for the gel.)

Great for LED Security Lights
Purchased to cover LED security lights. These lights don't get hot, so no melting concerns. They've worked great and now the lights attract fewer bugs and I'm sure the wildlife (birds, etc) appreciate less light pollution. The security cameras still capture clear images, so no negatives so far.

Great ambience
This film is perfect for cutting and using in overhead LED lights. Produces a nice glow instead of bright harshness.

Pretty good set of CTO gels
You get 5 gels. They show up all tightly rolled together, unmarked. Once you unpeel them from each other and spread them out, you can identify which is which. Do yourself a favor, grab a Sharpie and label them along the edge. They're not Rosco gels and you're not paying Rosco prices, so let's just manage expectations. Are they going to hold up to lots of abuse? Probably not for long. But, are you going to sob as you're cutting these up to fit various fixtures? You shouldn't. And that's the space these should occupy. They're great for low-budgets, customization, and good results. I already used one for Halloween decorations and didn't even flinch when cutting it up.

Nice for matching ambient light
These will help with matching ambient light when shooting inside on location. I think I can cut each gel in half and use on two larger strobes. Should do the trick
