Works very well
What a great piece of kit. We have been struggling with window condensation for sometime now. We had tried the leading competitor to this but found the battery life was awful. This model has excellent battery life. It charges quickly and is very easy to use. It definitely works best when held upright, however it will work at approximately 90° for a short time. The bottle to collect the water is not very large and does require emptying regularly. Overall, a good product that I would recommend..

Good value for money
Looking at published reviews of available options I discovered Vileda which was not a brand familiar to me. I have some Karcher products but they seem to be quite a bit more expensive. I've been very pleased with my Vileda purchase and it does a very good job on windows, shower screen and tiles. If you have particularly wet surfaces you will find yourself emptying the water container quite frequently. This is very easy to do but could become irritating if you were using the vacuum for a very big surface. I suggest checking capacity of various options if this is important to you. Otherwise I am very happy to recommend this product as being excellent for the job it is designed to do at a reasonable price.

Handy!
We love this. We live in a listed property with single glazing and the water that covers the panes in each room can only be described as sopping! This does the job beautifully. It doesn't hold it's charge for long, I would say, 30 mins max. It is a large suction spout, and we have narrow long metal panes in ceiling to floor windows so we have to use the item on its side as opposed to upright. It doesn't affect performance but we do have to empty it much more regularly or the water it collects drips out. Overall, this is a quality item and has made a big difference in warmth in our home once we hoover up the water on the windows. Definitely worth the money.

Not a single flaw.
I don't usually write reviews! However this Vileda window vac has proved excellent and so much better than the Karcher I binned a couple of months back. The Vileda is light. It has an excellent battery life - did the whole house today, 23 double glaze panes some 2 m by 1.5m, no sign of a tiring battery. No streaks - I think the pivot head helps get the right tension between rubber strip and glass and very little final edge wiping. I emptied the water reservoir only once. I read elsewhere that that reservoir needed a lot of emptying but I just sprayed some water and fairy liquid, wiped around with microfibres clothes and sucked clean. Windows sparkling job done. Delighted!

Brilliant!
We bought this to use daily in our bathroom as the condensation was just ridiculous and opening the window seemed to make no difference. It seemed like a bit of a luxury buy but so glad we got it! The condensation in the whole house was better within a matter of days of using this, and we continue to use it daily in the bathroom to keep on top of it. It's surprising how much water it picks up after a shower, so no wonder we can see a difference. The battery lasts for ages too, I think we've charged it twice in the 3 months we've had it. It's great for cleaning too - streak free on the tiles, windows and mirror. A friend had a Karcher one and said the rubber edge had cuts into it, which meant it always left streaks - this one doesn't and she has said she will purchase this one when hers breaks.

Effective for condensation
This is my first window vacuum, so I’m comparing it to alternatives such as a microfibre cloth and water scooper. I’m using to remove condensation from inside draughty windows. Overall I have found it to be generally effective. Certainly better than the manual methods I’ve been using previously. The capacity is smaller than I’d like - after 3 of my 4 pairs of windows it is at the max. The battery life appears good so far - I’ve used it around 6 or so times (3 pairs of windows at a time) and haven’t had to charge it yet. I’ve not noticed any issues with streaked windows (but I’m not cleaning, I’m sucking up condensation - so that is not directly comparable to some other reviewers’ uses) The suction is reasonable - it could be stronger; it commonly pushes water to the bottom of the window instead of sucking it up as it goes, particularly if you come down the window too fast - but then it vacuums up the water well from there, so that’s not a huge problem. Having a slightly flexible neck is handy, but it is not the strength I was hoping for when getting to the bottom of the window - I find I still have to go slightly horizontal to suck up the water from there; which is a bit of a concern with reference to other reviews outlining issues with water getting where it shouldn’t inside. It is noisy - both the vacuuming sound and a rather unpleasant squeaking noise as the rubber wiper is pulled down the window (not quite nails on a blackboard, but approaching that!). So not a perfect tool, but certainly an impressive on how I was dealing with my condensation issues previously.

Lightweight, efficient and fun!
I used this window vacuum for the first time this morning and absolutely love it! Cleaning the insides of the windows has always been a job I’ve had to grit my teeth for, even though I like the finished result, so this time I decided to see if I could find a gadget that might make the process less painful. This is it! It’s lightweight and easy to use; the squeegee attachment is a good size for my windows and works just as well horizontally as vertically; the suction was just right [I forgot to try the max power as I was having so much fun] and all I needed to do was wipe down the bottom of each sill with a window cloth. The battery was fully charged when I received the item and lasted for the full cleaning session [suburban semi detached]. The waste water tank was easy to remove and clean. Sitting here admiring my sparkling windows now - well the insides at least! I also got a £10 voucher automatically applied to this purchase with the Amazon app, so it was an absolute bargain. Highly recommended.

Great for managing post-shower humidity
Firstly, I've never used a window vac of any kind before, so have nothing to compare this product to, and I didn't particularly buy this for window cleaning, and haven't used it for that yet. The motivation for trying one was to try to improve the humidity in our house, causing excessive condensation and mould issues through winter. I didn't want to leave windows open, or run a dehumidifier. I choose this model due to it being reportedly lighter than competing models, and having decent battery life. I've now used this model for about a week. No battery complaints, but I've charged it after most uses so wouldn't expect to have run it flat yet. I've found it great for using in bathrooms after showers, when the walls are covered in condensed steam. Pretty quickly I can remove probably 95% of the moisture in the room, preventing the room from feeling damp and humid for ages (even leaving extractor fans running) and surely significantly reducing the moisture that escapes to the rest of our house that's been giving us condensation and mould issues. Time will tell if this practice after showers will make a difference, but I'm confident right now, given how dry the air seems once I've vacced up the water. I've also been using it on windows in the mornings to collect condensation now winter's kicked in. I've found I can't vac the condensation without there always being some residual water left when I lift the head away from the glass, so I have a cloth to hand to just mop up the dregs. Works just fine like that, and maybe with practise I'll get better at it, but ideally it would suck everything completely dry and not leave a wet edge. I've found that you can use this model horizontally and upside down without issue, but it has a max fill level and if you're approaching that when inverting the unit you will get some water blowing out of the vents. Not a big deal, and can be prevented by making sure the tank has plenty of headroom below the max fill line before inverting. Emptying the tank is quick and easy, so the fairly small capacity is not a problem. For now then I'm giving it 4 stars. I'm pleased with it, glad I bought it, but think to give 5 stars I'd want a drier finish when vaccing condensation off windows, and an optional narrower head would be good because a few of my windows are narrower than the 27cm head. I can still vac them horizontally, but it's just not quite as easy. July 2023 edit: Probably worth mentioning, I still use this appliance after every shower, but I realised it wasn't sufficient to resolve our general humidity/mould issues in our house, so I have since purchased a dehumidifier and that has solved the mould problem, though we still get some window condensation, so I still use this vac on windows for condensation, but it's main use to me is just for drying out my shower cubicle after a shower - I live in a hard water area so removing the water soon after a shower helps keep the shower cubicle looking smart.
