Will this work well for weddings. We have used wireless mics and there have been issues?

Yes, wireless mics are maybe more convenient in certain more controlled situations but if I need absolute reliability nothing beats the Tascams. Especially with dual recording on, where a second track at lower level gets recorded just in case the first track is clipping. I think Tascam also got all the little details right like the small size, long recording time, changeable battery, locked microphone plug and even the color (black or white). Also the the buttons and controls are layed out in a very smart way that make it nearly impossible to accidentally stop the recording. The only drawbacks I can think of are that it is sometimes not so easy to stop recording and you just have to let it go and that you have to sync it in post but you can even use it together with your wireless system. I had set it up with a small cable from the headphone out of the Tascam to the transmitter of my wireless system and therefore had the best of both worlds. In post I could use the already synced camera audio and in case of a drop-out of the wireless signal I still had the Tascam as a backup.

Does the recorder (not the microphone) have a clip to clip it on your belt?

Yes, the recorder has a wire clip to attach it to your belt and you can remove if you wish to do so.
