very effective purifier against smells and food allergies to help avoid cross contamination
very happy with this air filter its effective in clearing smells and airbourne gluten in my little utility room which has no windows. I am coeliac and I use it to clear any airbourne contamination when my family toast bread in the toaster so this has been a great addition to our utility room to allow them to still prepare their food in a separate area but to keep me safe from cross contamination from gluten containing flours. Its nice and quiet too and the filters seem very effective. Clears the air from smells very quickly and so far has worked very well to stop me being affected or poorly so it was a decent purchase and would recommend especially for anyone in a similar predicament with food allergies.

Nice, but with a couple drawbacks after the fact...
As an air purifier, it's good. It maybe was a bit bigger than what I was hoping for, but still small enough for the space I intended for it. The drawbacks come with trying to find a filter (difficult but not impossible) or the outer prefilter, which is impossible in the UK. I've messaged Blueair and their customer service was either pretty lacking in the emails I got back, or they're run by a chatbot because they were not helpful at all, so finding parts for this might prove tricky down the line. Yes, when it's on the lowest setting, it's so quiet you'd think it was off. It has a nice design that's not bad to look at, although I was hoping to find a prefilter and change the outer color, which isn't a deal breaker, just a disappointment. Am I also glad I caught it on sale and with an extra % off? Absolutely. I think it's helped the air quality in the room it's been in, but given how amazing the filter is supposed to be, that's kinda what you'd expect!

It works
Let’s get straight to the point! But first, a quick tip for those struggling with the controls—this unit has TOUCH-SENSITIVE buttons. You don’t need to press or hold them; just a light tap is enough. If used correctly, they work flawlessly, and you won’t be left wondering if yours is broken. The Highlights: - It works. Plain and simple. - It makes a noticeable difference for me - After a cold, I was dealing with a persistent dripping nose that would randomly turn into a runny nose throughout the day. I decided to try this air purifier—and it actually worked! Within 40 minutes of plugging it in, the dripping completely stopped. - Nighttime relief: No more postnasal drip when I sleep. - Super quiet: I run it on the lowest speed, which is more than enough, and it operates silently. - Energy-efficient: It consumes very little electricity, making it a cost-effective choice. Things to Keep in Mind: - Does it dry the air? After prolonged use (more than an hour), it might slightly dry out the air. I can’t confirm for sure, but in my case, this is actually beneficial given my local climate. - Size vs. Performance: Although smaller than some alternatives, this purifier does an excellent job in most normal-sized rooms and bedrooms. The only real difference between this and a larger unit is the speed at which it cleans the air. For example, it might take 40 minutes instead of 25 minutes to clear the air (just an estimate). If you have an extra-large space, you might want to consider a bigger unit, but otherwise, this one delivers great results at a much better price. - No built-in timer: I wish it had a scheduling feature, allowing me to set it for a fixed number of hours (for instance, six hours overnight). It would help conserve energy, but given the affordable price, this feature isn’t included. That said, it’s so energy-efficient that the lack of a timer isn’t really a dealbreaker

Broke down after 7 months
I've had this air purifier for seven months now, and was impressed by its excellent ability to improve the air quality in my bedroom. However, it lasted only seven months before breaking down. Given the price, I don't think this offers good value for money so would not recommend it.

Compact Powerhouse for Clean Air in Small Spaces
've been using the Blueair Blue Pure Mini Max Air Purifier in my home office for the past month, and it’s exceeded all expectations. For such a small unit, it packs an impressive punch in terms of both air cleaning performance and user experience. ✅ Pros: 🔹 Quiet and Discreet Operation Even on the highest setting, the sound is more of a gentle hum than a disruption. On low, it's virtually silent — perfect for bedrooms, nurseries, or work-from-home setups. 🔹 Effective Filtration Using Blueair’s HEPASilent™ technology, it captures fine particles like dust, pollen, smoke, and pet dander with ease. I noticed a significant improvement in air freshness within just a few days. As someone with mild allergies, this was a real benefit. 🔹 Stylish and Space-Saving Design Its compact cylindrical shape and sleek finish blend well with most room styles. It doesn’t scream “appliance,” which I appreciate. The washable fabric pre-filter is both functional and a nice visual touch. 🔹 Easy to Use One-touch controls and three fan speeds make it totally user-friendly. There’s no complicated setup — plug it in, tap the button, and it gets to work. 🔹 Energy Efficient It runs quietly all day long using less energy than a light bulb — something I really value for both the environment and my electricity bill. ❌ Cons: 🔸 Lacks Smart Features No app, no air quality sensors, no auto mode — which may be a downside for those who want real-time air quality feedback or remote control. Personally, I didn’t miss these features, but it’s worth noting. 🔸 Not Ideal for Large Rooms This model is designed for smaller spaces (around 90–200 sq ft). If you're trying to clean the air in a large living room, you'll likely want a more powerful model. 📝 Final Verdict: The Blue Pure Mini Max is ideal for small-space dwellers who want clean air without noise, bulk, or unnecessary frills. It’s efficient, quiet, beautifully designed, and very easy to live with. I’ve already recommended it to several friends and plan to get a second unit for the bedroom. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an affordable, low-maintenance air purifier that actually delivers.

Works fast in a small space. Do read up on optimal room set up for maximum effects.
For a small child's room, absolutely did the job. Cleared up the stuffy dusty air and reduced the feeling of humidity (surprisingly! I hadn't realised that humidity in the air can cling to free floating dust and pollen). Within a few minutes our child was coughing less and was comfortable. In the morning we noticed a huge improvement in the environment of the room - it was cooler, less stuffy, and the smell of ambient smoke from outside was gone. The device is small, so it sat perfectly on the bedside table and was whisper quiet. There were no lights to distract sleeping people. Ridiculous how much of a difference it made. I WOULD like to point out our child's bedroom is about half the size of what the device is designed for, so it worked faster. Also, we're keen to point out that the device will need regular maintenance (dusting, filter changes), so this is now something we're invested in looking after to maintain optimal sleep conditions for our child.

Works well - but very fiddly to operate!!
This air purifier seems to remove most of the pollen, incertainly slept better after it had been on. However its touch operated switches are very difficult to use, sometimes they work sometimes they don’t, and I find myself standing there for a minute at a time just to turn it on/off or change setting - so it’s does a good job. . . When you can get it switched on :-/

Great device and value for money, but a bit noisy at maximum power.
Bought this air purifier for my rather small city centre flat. I use it in the living room/kitchen area, and leave it on all day, every day. It's pretty effective at removing cooking smells, and general household odours. It also seems to do a good job of keeping the air less dusty. It seems to pull a good amount of air through it quickly, especially on the #2 and #3 fan settings. However, on these settings, the purifier is definitely audible. #2 I would compare to a PC or Laptop running at full capacity. #3 sounds more like a loud desktop fan. I do not use this in the bedroom, so I'm unable to comment on the impact of this sound on my sleep. However, I think I'd struggle to sleep with the device set to #3 speed.
