Best fan I've owned
As someone that uses a fan every night to sleep, even in the winter, I can easily say that this fan is the best I've owned. It's now over 2 years since I purchased it, and it runs no different to the day I first switched it on, even after being used for 8+ hours a night, every night. It is very quiet when used on it's lowest setting (sleep mode) and it has never disturbed me in the night with annoying creaks or whirring noises - something which a lot of cheap fans often do. The fan can be set on a timer and it seems to do a good job of switching itself off at the right moment, again without making any noise that would disturb my sleep. As far as power goes, it provides a really strong gust of air on the highest setting (power cool mode). Being a rather tall tower fan, it is capable of creating a much larger stream than smaller circular fans, and has done a great job of providing comfort to my partner and I during the recent heatwave. The design is very modern, using nice materials that feel of good quality. General construction is also good - it feels sturdy when given a light push, with a large base helping to keep it stable. I can't comment on the remote functionality as I do not use it, but it looks simple to use and fits in with the design of the fan. Overall fantastic product, brilliant value for money.

Nice and quiet, but still powerful enough.
Even on the highest setting it isn't too loud, but on the lower settings it is quiet enough that you can use it in the bedroom without it being loud enough to keep you awake. Once assembled it seems solid enough, and thanks to the carrying handle it is easy enough to move between rooms without feeling you are going to damage it. Comes with a basic, but functional, remote control that makes it convenient to use regardless of where you have positioned it in the room. Several reviews have mentioned a rattling noise when in use, the only time I have noticed this is when the remote control is the holder on the back of the fan. So it might be worth not leaving the remote on the fan when the fan is in use.

Worth the money
Ok this is an out of the box review, I've just put it together and switched it on, and I am very impressed. We already have one fan in a similar format that cost about £30. It's alright, but it's a bit wobbly, and a bit rattly, and if the weather is going to be like this we're going to need more than one fan. At £55 this is almost twice the price, but you know what, it's worth it. It's easy to put together, and it will stay solid because it's held together with thumbscrews. It's a little bigger than my £30 fan, and it is SUPER quiet. Even cranked up to 5 (my old one only had 3 settings) the noise is not obtrusive. At full whack you really do get a breeze, you won't often need that but it's nice to have in hand. Most of the time the lower levels will be just fine. There's no rocking at all. Even if you poke it, yes there's a little movement because it's tall, but it's solid on its footing. It's a really good base. And it's got a remote! One thing I've noticed with the old fan is that if you want to change the settings whilst it's oscillating, you have to wrestle with it, and there's always a little worry that you're stopping the rotation motor a little bit. None of that here. Do what you want with it from metres away. There's even a slot for the remote on the back, so if you lose it, it really is your own fault. This is a really well designed product and I really like it. At a premium price, it needs to last a bit longer than a cheaper fan. Time will tell, but the signs are good, it certainly looks like excellent value to me at the moment.

Fan is relatively quiet
What a great fan, can be set to run for an hour or two, then switch off automatically. Fan intensity can be set as well as swivel or not. Best thing about this fan is it is very quiet.

Not as quiet as the name suggests!
Overall it does what its meant to, its a fan, it moves air! The chrome top looks really cheap, would have been better looking if it was the same matt black as the rest of the unit. Now the functional negative...... IT'S NOISY! The actual moving of air is pretty quiet, BUT the motor is clearly not balanced and makes some knocking sounds, it's not even at a constant frequency so you can't get used to it and block it out. The knocking ramps up and down randomly and is unbelievably annoying. I'll try and sleep with it in the room for one night and see how it goes, but unless the fixit fairies come tonight, it will be sent back.

Unstable but powerful
If you have dogs or children this isn't for you. It's quite unstable, but we don't have children or pets anymore so it's perfectly fine for us. Quiet, it is not. On the sleep setting it would in my opinion be far too noisy. However it does throw out a very good breeze. If it's on , in a lounge with the t.v on the noise would be OK. It will be OK to dismantle to put back in the box for winter storage.

This listing has no mention or warning this was coming from the UK, their plugs are different from ours in the US. I bought this fan cause i needed a new fan and I like the Honeywell fan, we only realized something wasn't right when we tried to plug it

Excellent item. Works as described. A bit fiddly to put together. Needs two people.

The fan showed up on time and was reasonably easy to assemble. The problem occurred when I tried to plug it in. This unit was shipped from the UK (Europe) and therefore would only run on 220 volt compared to ALL AMERICAN HOMES that run on 110 volts. I returned the fan the next day and now waiting for refunds for both the fan and the return shipping charges. Shipping charges were almost the same cost as the fan.

Rec'd in July but never opened until 8/3/2021. unable to use, the power plug is not compatible with wall plugs. almost looks like it has a 220 amp. please advise what to do. I have the same unit in my work place. love it , so not very happy. I know it is to late for return to Amazon. please provide info to get in touch with MFG. Thank you Maureen L Skorupski
