What happens if you don’t change your cabin air filter?

A worn out or clogged cabin air filter will restrict air flow and filtering efficiency. Effects of this include reduced airflow from HVAC vents, persistent odors, fogged windows and increased allergy or respiratory irritation.

What do cabin air filters do?

Cabin air filters help reduce dust, pollen and airborne particles from air entering the cabin through vehicles' heating and air conditioning systems. Activated carbon or N95 filters also provide additional odor or bacteria filtration.

How often do I need to change or replace my cabin air filter?

Typically, it is recommended to replace your cabin air filter every 15,000 miles or once per year. Refer to your vehicle Owner’s Manual for your vehicle’s specific maintenance schedule.

How do I replace my cabin air filter?

Before beginning, check your vehicle Owner’s Manual. For most vehicles, the cabin air filter can be found by removing the instrument panel compartment door, opening the filter compartment and replacing the filter found there.

What’s the difference between an engine air filter and a cabin air filter?

The engine air filter helps trap airborne particles before they can enter the engine and minimize airflow restriction to the engine. Cabin air filters help trap certain outside particles before they reach the vehicle’s interior ventilation system.

Original ACDelco Item

Was delivered by Amazon.ae . Filter fits as expected. GM part 20958479 printed on the filter matched the one removed from the car.

Watch my video and change this filter yourself in minutes and save some serious money!

I purchased this air filter when my dealership advised me that the old filter needed to be replaced. The cost of the filter was to be about $50 and $75 more to install it. it is for my Buick Enclave. I found this filter on Amazon and it is the identical filter to the one I removed and its cost was less than ½ of what the dealer would charge. My video shows how to install the filter and you can literally do it in minutes. It is simple and easy. I hope my review is helpful for you and saves you some time and money. It is easier to install this yourself than to drive to a repair shop. The installation time is even less than the drive to the auto shop would be. I rated the filter at 5 stars and I recommend that you do this yourself and save some serious money. It seems ridiculous to see what a auto shop or a dealer charges for changing this filter.
