Zwilling 1001385 J. A. Henckels Pollux 7-Piece Block Set, Steel, Black, 28.0 cm*114.5 cm*11.0 cm

Not easy picking knives on line but I did a lot of research. I'd made the mistake of buying some Wustoff knives that had nasty cheap plastic handles, so wanting to be be sure this time around. Well these knives are the business, nicely weighted, razor sharp and comfortably shaped handles. But the best thing about this set, apart from the superb quality, is that they are the right mix of sizes for everyday use. So many sets have too many long knives and too few small/medium knives. This set doesn't have a lot of knives but they are exactly the ones you need. Just two things to be aware of, the block is angled at about 45o and hence does protrude a bit across the worktop and the handle of the sharpening steel is not Henkel branded (different to the one shown in the graphic). Overall, this is an amazing value set of knives that look and function of professional quality.

I really love them and the price is a real bargain, the sum of the prices of each item would be more than double. The quality of Zwilling is well known, the handles are much ergonomic, the knives are light but well balanced and their sharpness and sturdiness are just perfect. The sharpener steel is much better quality than I expected. I bought many knives and many of them were Zwilling, but by far this is the best purchase I've done. I totally recommend them.

The sharpest knives that I have owned... great quality, and for the price, very highly recommended. Admittedly I have not spent more than £50.00 before now on a set of knives but this really proves you get what you pay for.

Sharp and good-looking knives. The knife block feels solid and looks good. I also have a set of Global knives and would say they are similarly sharp

I saw the top review and decided these would be a perfect gift for my husband who is a bit keen in the kitchen. Despite him knowing how sharp they are and knowing correct knife technique he is still getting through plasters quicker than an Aldi checkout person at home time. Poor value for money on account that I now have to buy all fruit and vegetables pre-chopped as all these finger plasters are making it difficult to be intimate.

I'm glad I did my homework before I took the plunge as there is so much choice out there. Global knives seem to be the best but they are very expensive, as are Heston's & Jamie's. I came across these Henckels and then checked the history of the founder on Wiki. The process to make these knives is interesting and then to decide which type of set you require can turn into a headache. I eventually settled on these 'Twin Pollux' knives that come in the block with sharpening tool. I would regard these as an intermediate set where you are getting a hell of a good deal for your money. From a distance the handles look quite bulky & heavy, but I assure you they are not. Pay no attention to the 'Dissapointing' review, he stated that they were light & no good. They are supposed to be light, you can place one on a single finger giving perfect balance where the blade meets the hilt. I'm not a great cook but now I can cook great. They're German made...in auto terms the VW Golf of knives...SCHWEET!!!

We're not expert chefs but we love cooking, so we were looking for a solid set to replace a mix of old and inherited knifes at home. I looked around for a while on Amazon and elsewhere for the best option and I'm kind of proud for this find. Great balance between reputable brand and usability. Nothing is extra, you'll use all knife in the block regularly!

Ya había leído acerca de la calidad de la marca. Tuve la ocasión de probar un juego de tijeras y me encantaron, así que decidí sustituir mi juego de cuchillos de "supermercado" por este bloque. Llevo poco tiempo con ellos pero no tengo nada malo que decir (si acaso el precio!). Desde el embalaje, con un cuidado exquisito, hasta la calidad tanto de la tacoma como de los cuchillos. Los cortes son perfectos, sin esfuerzo (me da miedo cortarme!). El más mínimo "pero", sería con la ubicación del afilador. El hueco es ligeramente amplio y choca contra el cuchillo del pan. Si eso es todo lo malo que puedo decir ...

Cercavo da tempo un ceppo con coltelli belli e funzionali e finalmente ho trovato questo. Davvero un'altra musica in cucina, tagliano qualsiasi cosa con la minima fatica, materiale robusto e rifinito impeccabilmente. La marca non si può discutere. Infine il ceppo davvero bello pesante. Lo consiglio a tutti. Spedizione e consegna come sempre veloce e puntuale.

Amazon çok hızlı bir şekilde kargoladı ve 2 gün içinde elime ulaştı. Bıçak setine gelince sapları çok kaliteli görünüyor, elinize profesyonel bir bıçak aldığınızı hissediyorsunuz. Çelik ve kesim kalitesini şu an için test edemedim ama tatmin edici görünüyor. Satın alırken tek dikkat etmeniz bu modelin made in china olması. Made in germany modelleri de var. Insanin aklına ister istemez acaba almanya üretimi daha mı kaliteli diye geliyor. Ürün tanıtımında bu detay belirtilmiş, ben satın aldıktan sonra fark ettim. Umarım aralarında fark yoktur.

Qualità dei coltelli altissima, lame robuste e affilatissime. Il ceppo di legno è bello solido, pesante e fa la sua figura in cucina. Siamo a livelli professionali, in cucina è cambiata la vita, tagliamo veramente di tutto senza la minima fatica. Bisogna prestare molta attenzione nel maneggiarli, ci si taglia le dita molto facilmente.
