I have this very reliable easy to use phone here in Canada while on holiday and it works well--I just signed up to Orange's international plan which I am sure is available from other providers. You would need to check with a US provider if you wanted to use a US sim card in it though....

I bought this phone as it was sim free I'm with O2 but for some reason my phone keeps telling me I have no network connection can anyone tell me why?

Is your sim card still valid, is it damaged at all? Perhaps you could try another sim card in the phone, if same happens, then it s likely the phone is faulty, if not, then your o2 sim card is likely the problem.

Will a micro sim card work in this mobile?

Micro or nano sim will work but you have to make it standart size (put in a frame) as it takes standart old size sim.
