Works brilliantly even without a yogurt maker
Iโve had great results with this starter and will definitely keep using it. What I really like is how easy it is to use, even without any fancy equipment. I donโt own a yogurt maker, I simply mix it up, cover it, and leave it in the oven overnight with just the oven light on, and it works perfectly every time. It comes out very thin this way so I tend to strain it a little with a cheesecloth to get it thicker. Still value for money though whether you use a yogurt maker or my method! The yogurt turns out lovely and creamy with a good consistency, and I like knowing exactly whatโs going into it. Itโs also really satisfying making your own at home instead of constantly buying pots from the supermarket. The starter itself seems very reliable and consistent, which makes the whole process feel simple and low stress. A fantastic yogurt starter that gives great results without needing special equipment. Perfect if you want an easy, homemade yogurt setup using what you already have at home.

This culture works extremely well for plant based yoghurt
Fabulous yoghurt starter. I have made soy milk with great success, using this starter. Both homemade soya milk and carton soya milk worked perfectly. Once strained, it was lovely and thick and creamy. It was well set even without the straining. Two videos show - 1) the yoghurt still warm, but with a good wobble, even before chilling and 2) my soya yoghurt after chilling and straining. Very rich and creamy result. Highly recommend. Ah, I find I can only upload one photo, so here is the strained. What a pity you can't see the two.

Good , reliable starters
Yoghurt has a lovely flavour and texture. It is also quite forgiving and so if you leave it to ferment longer than you intended, it still tastes good. Works every time

Works as described.
I found this to be an excellent starter culture for home made yoghurt, Easy to use, good price, clear instructions on packet. Makes both ordinary soft yoghurt and very good Greek style thick yoghurt.

Excessively Sour, Inedible
Pros: โAchieves a rich, thick texture. โ Cons: โBecomes overwhelmingly sour and practically inedible, even with a short 9-hour incubation period. โ Everything was thoroughly sterilized, and I have never had issues using standard supermarket yogurt as a starter. The excessive sourness is likely due to using a probiotic version.

Makes delicious yogurts with soya milk.
I use this culture every week to make plant based yogurts using cashew nuts and high protein soya milk. It works every time to produce a tangy and delicious product. Excellent!

Really Great Yogurt!
This is a wonderfully tart culture. My methods differ from instructions. I don't use a yogurt maker, Just my oven. I put in a 60 watt incandescent bulb turn on the light and measure the temp. My oven stays around 105f with the light {and not the oven} on. This way I can make yogurt in canning jars. I make about 2 gallons of milk at a time. {Up to 180f-down to 105f-add culture-incubate} 1 packet is plenty, 1/2 or 1/4 packet is likely plenty. (live cultures do multiply after all) I believe some of the cultures may die off after multiple re-use. This will probably cause a change in flavor and texture as stated by Yogourmet. Besides I wish to support this excellent product!

No Fails So Far
I followed the directions close to exactly as i could and i am pleased with the yogurt it made. The first batch was a little then, so I just let the next batches go a little longer in the maker. Love the creamy texture and tart flavor and the nutritional value is a plus.
