I'm happy with this 1 gigabyte CompactFlash memory card from BR & TD. I have been looking for a lower-capacity memory card for my vintage Canon S30 digital camera (which has a 2 gigabyte memory card limit). This 1 gigabyte CF card works just fine in my camera. I'm not too concerned about speed as my camera is slow by modern standards but the memory card is keeping up fine. My memory card has Extreme printed on the top, not "Extrenne" or blank like some of the listing photos depict.

Yes, as noted by others, this card has a paltry 1GB caoacity so do not mistake that capacity for a modern card with 1TB capacity. And yes, it's slow by CrystalDisk measurement. I am using it with my classic (read OLD) Canon Rebel EOS six megapixxel camera which, due to physically large pixel elements in the sensor still takes contrasty colorful very clear images. It was designed for cards like this and works fine with them. The card holds about 1200 6MP images which is plenty for me, and with that camera, speed is no issue.

Bought to use for a Fanuc backup, but the format is not useful for that purpose.

This review is for the 1gb size of their CF card. I mistakenly ordered this thinking it was 1tb, but I tested it anyway. They do sell cards in sensible sizes so I'm not sure why they're selling a 1gb card, unless just for very old cameras. The tests were a little difficult because I got varying results with different CF adapters. Two didn't work, one was very slow and another was faster but still slow. On a very old USB 2.0 CF adapter I saw 1.47mb/s read and 2.1mb/s write (at best). On a brand-new USB 3.0 reader I got 10.91mb/s read and 4.4mb/s write which is still a bit slower than the 50/20mb/s claimed. For comparison, I used a 15+ year old Sandisk CF card which reached slightly faster speeds on both readers, and also failed to work on the same other adapters. I was able to store an 850mb file on it and according to comparing the sha256 hash, it was stored without error, so the 1gb claim appears accurate. I'm a bit skeptical of the marketing. They're clearly designing this to look like SanDisk Extreme cards, including the holographic label. Are they trying to deceive people? I don't know. The listing pics show the label saying "Extrenne", and in their product video they show a "Conan" camera that looks familiar. On the label there's the word "industrial". All I can find explaining this is that it's "crush-proof", but no mention of temperature, moisture, or write endurance (I think they're usually MLC flash, but I doubt this is).

This is the 1 GB version of their CF card!! I mistakenly bought it thinking it was 1 TB, but still used it anyway. Performance depends heavily on the CF adapter used — two adapters didn’t work at all, one was extremely slow, and another gave slightly better but still slow results. On an old USB 2.0 CF reader I got about 1.47 MB/s read and 2.1 MB/s write; on a newer USB 3.0 reader speeds improved to ~10.9 MB/s read and 4.4 MB/s write, still below the claimed 50/20 MB/s. I could store an 850 MB file without errors, so capacity appears correct. The design strongly resembles SanDisk Extreme cards (right down to a holographic label), which could mislead buyers, though mine did work reliably.
