Ninja Blast Max Portable Blender, Twist & Go, 22oz, Grey, BC251GY

LOVE LOVE LOVE this. I bought it to take on a long trip, hoping for the best. I avidly juice and make smoothies in my usual day to day at home and was a little nervous about an extended trip to a remote location and not being able to maintain the health benefits I rely on to control an autoimmune disease. So I got this and I was able to get the groceries I needed to make daily, healthy smoothies. It 100% helped me stay healthy and comfortable on my long trip. It is powerful enough for frozen fruits as well as roots like carrots and ginger. I personally took to running the Smoothie setting twice but it does the job well enough after just once and it stands stable while running. The blend feature is perfect if you're just adding in some powder supplements. Yes it is a little loud but so is my at-home blender. I had no problem with it. All of my friends were asking about it so I was making smoothies for everyone! It was also nice to just blend and go, drinking from the same container I blended in. The base is a very reasonable size. While the container is smaller than the smoothie size I make at home, it is also a decent size without being bulky or bothersome to carry. It has a nice, comfortable handle and the flip top is perfect to allow access and cover the mouth in between. Easy to clean and not too heavy all together either. Yes it took up some space in my carry-on but I will gladly leave a second pair of sandals to bring this instead. No issues with TSA but I did have to take it out like other battery powered items on my way back. I also got a separate nylon carrying case for it to keep it protected in my suit case. I hope it will last a long time. I am just so happy i got this. It will be coming with me on more trips. I considered others and opted for this (more expensive) one expecting quality from Ninja, having owned Ninja blenders and other appliances in the past. I was not disappointed. The purple is really cute too! Highly recommend if you are a juicer or smoothie maker on-the-go! We can stay healthy even on vacation! :) --Cut the check Ninja! My friends will be getting one too lol

I am a die-hard ninja shark customer and I have been purchasing products from the company for years. I have yet to have purchased the product from Ninja that has not met my standards. First the quality and the value for the money are there this product is completely worth it I use it every single day. It is versatile I'm able to make my simple dreams which are just maybe watering powder or milk and protein powder without it being any chunks love or anything stuck to the sides it has a really strong motor. But even when I made things with fruit or I have to add ice the fruit and the ice are always blended into a smooth consistency because the blades are phenomenal. I have even used it to make alcoholic beverages with my sister and they come out perfect every time we usually make moonshine milkshakes with the Ninja blender and it's always creamy well mixed and a good time. The lid functionality is everything that I have ever wanted from a handheld blender. The lid locks into place it is very sturdy and you're able to put it in your bag without it leaking it doesn't leak the button that you press to open the mouth spout is very strong and functional it does keep you from having to worry that the lead is going to open unnecessarily in your bag. The material is sturdy and of good quality and I don't have any fears that it will break or need to be replaced anytime soon. The material feels very smooth and sturdy in the hand and I also like the fact that you can strap the cup to your bag with the handle that is provided. It's also very easy to clean I haven't had any issues with anything being stuck in the inside to where I can't get it loose and clean it fully. I've also not had any problems with any mold growth in the cracks or crevices of the blender body at all.

This portable blender is great! Does everything it says without flaws. Great power. I use this at work for on the go smoothies. Super easy to use and durable. Absolutely no odor. good speed and blend super smooth. Very happy I purchased this blender. Gives me much enjoyment using it. Money well spent.

I used it four times so far, and I thought it was pretty good. Some reviews state it couldn't do frozen fruit. Mine did frozen fruit at max capacity just fine. Another reviewer stated it melted in their dishwasher. Make sure you read the instructions on this one - instructions do state it isn't dishwasher drying safe. IMO - if it cannot be dried it isn't dishwasher safe in general. To me that is a strike - it is based on the notion that the customer is likely to damage the product enough, and these blenders are cheap enough that a customer would just buy a replacement. Especially considering most people won't check if it is dishwasher safe or not. Or - it is dishwasher safe with caveats which less people are likely to investigate. Other review state poor battery life... Time will tell in up to 6 weeks. I suspect the reviewers are letting the device die completely and then charging it back up, which isn't great for batteries. I just recharge it before putting it away... But storing batteries at 100% is bad too so we will see how well Ninja's internal battery management is. Based on the plug I'm going to assume it isn't good. This is the part that brings it from just about perfect to 1*. It is 2026. Why doesn't this BATTERY powered device charge from a USB connector? Why does it charge with an antiquated barrel jack? Why is the charging voltage 13 volts, or something ridiculously specific? Why not 15?? You need to regulate voltage to charge a battery anyway, so there isn't much difference between 13 and 15 volts at this point. Ninja definitely could have used a USB C receptacle. Based on my experience in engineering I suspect it was an executive cost cutting decision, or some old luddite who thinks barrel is better than USB C. It is one or the other ( or both ). There is no good excuse to not use USB C in modern times. Paired with power delivery it is objectively the superior solution. USB C could have a water resistant gasket. The barrel plug does not. The instructions state the base isn't supposed to get wet - and fair - but this is a product that will need to be cleaned EVENTUALLY. Using a barrel jack is simply a cost cutting method ( that does not save very much, mind you. Maybe $5 per unit at volume. Probably less ) that does not have water resistance and is designed to fail. This product is designed for you to lose the proprietary charger. This product is designed for you to make a mistake and damage the unit. This product is designed for you to buy another one. I can look past the USB C choice, ironically enough. In overall use it is actually a nice product. It feels small somehow because my AC blender is so much larger. But the same AC blender which is much louder and larger only has 2oz more of capacity. This review is meant to be critical to ideally, and hopefully have feedback makes its way back to Ninja. I still like it ( for now ), and hopefully it doesn't physically break. But this seeing a barrel jack in 2026 carries a similar feeling to getting a product with a USB micro connector. Like why does this still exist. It is a problem and I hate to see it. I do like some features specifically, though. Traditional blenders have a removable blade base, and the liquid is sealed via gasket. But that gasket is so far recessed that making sure it stays clean, especially during hand wash cycles is difficult. The gasket would need to be replaced frequently because it is hard to clean and sanitize. This blender does not have that problem. The blades are not removable, but integrated at the bottom of the container. I am concerned about keeping it clean. If it ever gets a dry crust on the bottom side of a blade you might be toast... But between then and now, I use a cup rinser to high pressure spray it with hot water and clean it that way. So far, so good. Being that the shape of the container is more efficient too, I can actually fit this blender container in my ( Delta ) cup rinser. I cannot do that with my older, plug in AC Ninja Blender. As a fun bonus, the lid also works well with the cup rinser too, so it is very easy to clean with the configuration I gave my home. Time will tell if I buy it again. If it survives for over a year, why not. But for now I am certainly on the fence if these would be good gifts to buy for others, if I am not sure I would buy it again.

Ok, first thing’s first. It’s good for a one-smoothie morning. Not making two smoothies back to back. It’s not a countertop blender. It can break down frozen fruit, but if you want it really smooth, or try making two smoothies, running it longer does cause the unit to heat up to the point of non-operation. You’ll have flashing orange lights for about an hour as it re-sets its temperature. To speed up re-setting I stick mine in the fridge. The cup itself is very pleasant to hold, and I love the sturdy silicone handle. The top of the cup opens and locks into place so it doesn’t come down on your nose while you drink. The purple color is ultra cool. The battery life lets you blend for about 4 smoothies until you need to charge. The charger is not USBC. Keep that in mind. All-in-all, I’m glad I purchased this vs Ninja’s other, more powerful countertop smoothie maker. This can easily come on trips, and the other smoothie maker cups have freaking huge handles, unlike these. The cup does fit in my Prius cup holder, nice and snugly, but I wish I had the opportunity to purchase more cups separately. Right now they’re not available on the ninja site or Amazon. All-in-all a good purchase, especially on sale. Multiperson households would likely benefit from a larger, countertop device. Oh and the noise level is high! Like a power tool.

I love how this newer version blender cup is separate to wash the cup from the bottom part. Won’t have to wet the plug area so its safe. As much as I use this thing when I travel that is very important to me. Ninja never fails, It blends my frozen everything as long as I put some water in it. I say this one is worth the money

Quick update after using it for a few weeks - the charging indicator works fine, showing green for a number of smoothies, turning red/orange after 7 of them. Probably needed a couple of cycles to calibrate the display. I took it camping a few times and it works just great. I love that the mixing container does double duty as a smoothie bottle rather than having to use yet another thing that needs to be cleaned. I also bought a sleeve/bag for the Blast Max which protects it well during travels. Allow charging via USB-C (or car 12V adapter), and perhaps simplify the cap somehow for easier cleaning, and it would be a clear 5/5. I am an avid Camper and a Health Nut. For my daily smoothie, I use a Vitamix 6300 which reduces anything in the container to a smooth mass. For camping, I had one of those hand-held blenders which do work but tend to clog up quickly and create more of a lumpy than a smoothie. Also, there is always the danger of getting splashed which isn't fun when you're dealing with beets. So I figured I'd give this a try to bring my camping smoothies up to the next level. Note that I pre-blend most of the ingredients in my Vitamix and then freeze the result into concentrated cubes for camping, add banana and frozen pineapple and some Chia, let it sit outside the freezer over night and blend it in the morning. Anyway, I haven't gone camping with the Blast yet, but I think it will work out just fine. I tested how many smoothies I get out of one battery charge and got 11 after the first charge. So blending twice per smoothie will make it last 5 days which is fine for me. The resulting smoothie is right in between the Vitamix and the Blender stick, better than expected for greens like Celery and Kale and even solid things like Beet. Don't pack it too tightly because it will report being stuck if the blade can't spin up freely. Once it turns it makes quick work of the ingredients. There are a few small "room for improvements" and one bigger one. The cap for example is designed well for its function, but not for cleaning. Lots of crooks and nannies in there that need lots of work if you happen to not rinse it right away. Another small thing that could be improved is the charge display. According to the manual, it is green when charged and red when it needs a charge. However, mine turns red right after disconnecting the charger. It blends a while before it stops, but I would like to see a 0/25/50/75/100% indicator, or a digital percentage. Just a red light doesn't do a fairly pricey blender justice. The big thing for me is the dedicated 110V charger. This makes it more challenging to charge on the road. Of course, charging may not be necessary if the batteries hold strong, but I think it would be good to be able to charge this via regular USB-C or at least a 12V. Also good luck if you loose the charger. We'll see how it holds up long term and if there will be replacement parts (like the container/blade assembly) if that should be needed.

I will say that I had to utilize my warranty through Ninja, and they are probably one of the best companies to work with when you have an issue with your product. I had an issue with the blender cup leaking from the bottom, and it turns out it was an inner seal error. Brand new one in my hands and no leaking! I got this because my original cordless blender wasn't able to keep up with my protein coffee, as I was wanting it ICY... Almost frozen. I also had issues with sizing... 12 oz... Yeah that's not even 1/4th of my giant cup. So I wanted something bigger... And I kept seeing good reviews, so I decided to give it a go. SO. GLAD. I. DID! You can only fill it up 18 oz, but when it's blended, it definitely is 22 oz. It blended my protein coffee powder so well and it also blended my ice into it with very little chunks. (Full disclosure: I use nugget ice, so this could be why it is so icy good.) The clean up is easy.... Just have a bottle brush in case you want to clean it by hand, or you could do a quick clean with blending a small amount of soap with about 8 oz of water, or you could put it in the top rack of the dishwasher though I wouldn't unless it really needs to be sanitized (no heat drying, however. You'll definitely warp the cup.) Charging is simple... Plug in and let it sit for 90 minutes. They have simple directions on how to layer for a good quality drink.... Definitely follow that. This has Auto-IQ, which means that it will adjust itself to what it needs to do the job as far as power. Most of the cycles are less than a minute.... I'm wanting to say 30 seconds. This definitely has made my morning protein coffee routine quicker!

Really nice, very easy to use and clean up. Perfect smoothies. Blends ice and frozen fruit easily. Has consistant results.

Great tool…expensive but it does the job

This blender is amazing. Super powerful, quick charge and charge lasts for awhile. Bit heavy for travelling but worth it.
