I'm impressed. That's easy to say, but allow me to explain. Finding an outdoor-rated PoE-powered switch at a reasonable price that lasts more than a handful of weeks is a challenge. This unassuming switch fit my budget, was easy to install, and hasn't quit. It came in a sturdy weatherproof box, but I installed it inside the enclosure I installed for a different device. It has survived its first winter, but the real test will come in the next few months, and I can't wait to see how it handles a Texas summer. One last note: This switch requires PoE++ to power. If your current switch does not provide PoE++, order an injector when you buy this unit. I recommend this one if you are looking for an outdoor-ready PoE switch.

Murió a los pocos meses de uso, no se ve quemado ni nada pero la placa está completamente muerta

I tried a couple of POE repeater switches, and you have to watch out. First, make sure the switch lines up with your devices, 24 or 48 volt; this is a 48 volt switch. But the other ones I tried did not relay enough power even with a bigger injector. I only need 17 watts (two 4w cameras and a 9w access point). This switch is doing it fine with a 30w injector. I strongly recommend using an injector, I tried it right off a POE switch but even though I should have been able to get enough power off one port this switch kept cutting out. I don't know what watts this switch actually draws, so I probably exceeded what the POE switch could provide. Note that it will only draw up to 60w, but I used a lower power injector because I didn't need all of that and it works fine.

Product worked well first 30 days, then it needed to be rebooted by disconnecting POE Power every other day, finally died 6/5/2024, Installed 5/10/2024. Would not buy anther, product only has a 30 day return or replacement.

This CENTROPOWER 5 port POE powered POE switch takes one 60W POE cable and provides up to 15W of POE power to up to 4 different devices. I got this POE switch because a cable run to the back of my warehouse is several hundred feet and would be a real pain to have to do. This will allow me to add several additional security cameras without having to run additional ethernet cables. I tested this with 3 POE cameras for 24 hours and it worked great. The build quality isn't great - it's made almost entirely of plastic - and that does concern me given it's made for "outdoor" use. I'm not sure how well this would hold up to heat or the elements but I'm going to find out because it will be installed in my warehouse that is not (yet) climate controlled. Overall, I wish this was either better made or cheaper, but it does the job and overall I'm happy with it.
