My little OCD cleaner - 2020 One Year UPDATE
One year update: I bought my 2 Eufys Aug. 2019 and use them once a week or every two weeks and have come across some quirks. The most recent quirk is Eufy just stopping in the middle of a room with the blue light still on and no error beeps. Apparently, it stops for no reason. I hit the remote start and it continues its job. Another quirk is stopping and beeping with blinking light for some reason (keep your manual handy) and once was because of the front Pivot wheel not moving because of hair being wound around it. I popped the wheel off, cleaned out the hair, reset Eufy by pushing the reset button on the bottom and it then worked fine. Another quirk was getting to the stairs and for some reason couldn't turn around and started beeping. That time I just wiped the three sensors on the bottom and reset it and it was fine after that. One day, it just continually stopped for no reason that I could find. It just stops, no beeping and still fully charged. I just kept resetting it with the bottom reset button until it finally finished the room. That happened about 10 times that day. Over the winter, I had a stray cat decide she wanted to live with me, so now I have a cat with long hair and she sheds a lot. Eufy doesn't pick up large tufts of her hair from my rugs, so I use a hair mit on the worst spots on my rugs and then Eufy does a fine job on the rugs. Another tip, try using your magnet strips to divide up larger rooms. I ended up having to do that in my living room because otherwise it took forever for Eufy to hit every area. Now I divide it in half. When one half looks complete, I pick up Eufy and put it in the other half. That works well! Also, your magnet strips can be stuck to the side of your refrigerator for storage! I find that very handy. :) You really do need to clean Eufy between charges. I have my system broken down into Living room and kitchen. Clean and charge (about 4.5 hours), then the hallway, bathroom, bedroom. Clean it and charge. Then lastly, my office/sewing room. Clean it and charge. It takes only 5- 10 minutes to clean it between uses. I'm still thrilled I have these Eufys and have decided I will never be without a Robo Vac - ever. And hopefully Eufy will still be around when I need a replacement. I bought these partly because of the Anker name. I've bought other Anker products for years and they're always made well. End of update. I bought two of these yesterday with the Deal of the day and received them today. They both took about 3 hours to fully charge and then it was off to the races. One went downstairs and the other one upstairs. I left the Eufy downstairs in the basement to do its thing on low pile carpet and tile and went down to check on it periodically. Twice I found it stuck in strange places. One was on top of a small table base and the other was lodged next to my furnace. I'll just have to block those two areas next time. The one upstairs was in my kitchen for a good 45 minutes to an hour! OCD I'd say, but my kitchen is nice and clean. :) Rugs included. These do an excellent job with edge cleaning. The one in the kitchen miraculously followed the curves in the pedestal base on the table. Pretty cool. It also traveled over all my wood floor vent covers which is pretty impressive because they're pretty thick! It also fits under most of my furniture. I sent a Roomba back years ago because it wouldn't fit under my sofa, loveseat and tables. That made it useless for me. These fit under everything except a lowboy chest and 3 smaller tables in my living room...Swiffer will take care of those. The drop sensors worked perfectly at the stairs. It turned around instead of going down. The upstairs Eufy finished my kitchen, living room, entryway and was in the bathroom when the red light came on and is now charging. Both Eufys ran for the 100 minutes as stated in the manual. I emptied the upstairs bin twice, but only because I had stopped the Eufy to get it out of the kitchen and before I sent it to charge. The bin wasn't full either time, but had plenty of dirt and fuzz in it, so I'm happy with that! I decided I'm not programming a schedule because I don't need my house cleaned daily. It's just me here and no pets anymore, so I will manually turn them on once or twice a week. I did pick EVERYTHING up off my floors for this first cleaning, but that's just not ever going to happen again. It was a PIA and I could have vacuumed my entire house in the time it took to clear the floors. I'll leave the cords zip tied, but everything else is staying put next time. All that work defeats the purpose of having these. I am THRILLED TO DEATH with these though. Vacuuming is one of my least favorite chores. These will definitely be used weekly and I look forward to watching them work instead of me! Also, these are sooooo quiet. You can't even hear where they are in the same room as you if they're cleaning underneath something. I'm so glad I bought them and at an excellent price. The exorbitantly expensive robo vacs are just not feasible for me. Maybe if they had a 20 year life span, they would be, but they don't. I'm also not into controlling everything through a stupid app or WiFi. Don't need those and don't want those. I don't need NHS knowing when I'm vacuuming my house. These were worth every cent, IMO Great little vacs!

This thing works way better than expected
November 1, 2020 update One of my two Eufy 30C vacuums began badly malfunctioning well within the warranty period. I contacted Eufy support, and after demonstrating the malfunction (spinning in circles continuously forever), Eufy sent out a brand new replacement that I received within two days of Eufy accepting the warranty issue. Pretty amazing. The best part though is that the replacement vacuum clearly has better programming and probably improved hardware. It can now selectively disable the sweeper brushes when it senses that they are caught on something which is a frequent occurrence in our house. This is a very important benefit because without this ability, the gears on the sweeper brushes skip when a brush gets stuck and eventually the gear teeth round off allowing the sweeper brushes to stop spinning on even the slightest obstacle. Another benefit is that this updated version seems to be able to better avoid getting stuck at drop offs. It also seems to have an updated algorithm for is vacuuming pattern, although I'm not sure that the altered algorithm is improved. I've found that in our dining room the vacuum spends an inordinately large amount of time around the dining table, and it actually seems to sometimes be unable to find its way out of fairly tight confines. Overall, the updated firmware/hardware make this a much better vacuum, and I've updated my rating of it to 5 stars. There are still things that could be better, but for the price, this vacuum is awesome. October 4, 2020 update: We bought two of these - one for the upper floor and one for the lower floor. The one on the upper floor gets way more use, and its starting to go bad. One of the side/edge brushes easily is stopped from spinning (drive gear is likely become stripped), and the vacuum often start spinning in a circle with nothing blocking it. Now happens every time we use it. This is a common problem, and some people have found that this is correlated to there being debris in the mechanism of the center gimbal wheel. Not for mine though. I have also cleaned all the sensor windows multiple times. Power-cycling the vacuum usually fixes the issue temporarily. Its currently spinning in a circle as I write this. Was good while it lasted. Hoping the warranty is good. Original review: We've only had this thing for about a week, but in that one week, its done way better than I expected. We vacuum every other week with an upright cord vacuum, and since robovacs have relatively low suction power and flow rate, I wasn't expecting it to find much of anything, but to my surprise, its vacuumed up tons of cat hair and fine dirt, and larger debris. Immediately after the vacuum reaches full charge, I set it loose in some part of the house. Its been run through each room multiple times now, and it keeps finding stuff. And I clean the dust bin and shake out the filter after each run, so I know exactly what its finding. Its very impressive, especially for the sale price. If it lasts even six months before breaking, it will have been worth it. Here are the positives: - Probably the best thing about it is the ability to clean under beds and other furniture that can't easily be cleaned with a conventional vacuum. - It does a good job of cleaning in other hard to reach places. - We have a piano in the house, and I watched carefully to see if it would damage it, but so far, it hasn't marred it. This robovac has a rubber bumper, and it requires only a light touch (or no touch) to get it to change direction. - The wifi feature is great for notifying the user when the Eufy is fully charged or when its stuck. - It catches way more stuff than I ever expected. Neutral aspects: - It cannot see toys, cords, clothing, and any other small items on the floor, and it will easily get stuck on these items, so a room has to be prepped before letting the Eufy loose in it. In a way this is a positive feature because it forces the user to tidy up the floor area. - It takes about 3-4 hours to charge. Some negatives: - It does good at sensing ledges that have a hard edge like an uncarpeted step down, but we have a single step down in our living room that's carpeted, and the Eufy gets stuck on it all the time. - It routinely gets stuck under toe kicks in the kitchen and in our master bath. - It has a hard time getting onto some our throw rugs. Its not an issue of tassels but rather, the debris gathering spinners at the front work their way under the throw rug, and this prevents the Eufy from being able to drive onto the throw rug. - The fact that the Eufy will notify you via wifi and a beep when its stuck is great, but it gets stuck multiple times during a cleaning run, so it can't be left to run unattended, at least not in our house. - It will only find its way back to the charging base if its relatively close, perhaps only within 15 feet. - It does not get anywhere close to 100 minutes on a full charge. We are consistently seeing only 30-40 minutes max.

I love my machine but..
It has been a few weeks since I bought this and I'm really happy with it so far, but here are a few things worth knowing if you are looking into buying a machine like this. This is a great machine and I have no problems with it however there is an "updated" model available from the same manufacturer with a different kind of mopping system. It uses a drum instead of discs and as the price differential is not much it may be worth considering. I have not used one so I cannot comment on it. SETUP The machine is heavy (26lbs) so if this seems a bit much for you you may want help getting it into the house and set up. Apart from the safety booklet the machine comes with no instructions. A PDF can be viewed and downloaded from their website. I would recommend reading these while waiting for your unit to arrive. Additionally the machine works from an app which can be downloaded from whichever app store you use. One of the first things you will do when setting up the system is mapping out your house, just a little pointer, floor length mirrors can confuse the system. I ended up with extra rooms where the closet doors were. This is not a huge problem either you can cover the mirrors when mapping or set the extra rooms as a no go zone within the app. There are many cleaning settings available within the app and I suggest playing with them until you find somethings that suits your needs perfectly. Eufy does use its own brand of cleaning solution for mopping the floors, unfortunately you don't get any when you order the machine, it can be ordered on amazon. Two capfulls of solution to each gallon of water works well. CLEANING. Within the app you can set it to clean the entire house, any particular room or rooms or even a zone. The robot itself is surprisingly quiet as it goes about it's tasks. We have tile floors and the there is a a little noise as the wheels go over the grout lines but we don't find it intrusive. Within the app you can set how often the robot returns to base in order to clean the mop and empty the dustbin, (the default is every 15 minutes). This is when you will hear the loudest noise as the machine empties the dustbin it will be as loud as a regular Vacuum cleaner for about 20 seconds or so. You can also set do not disturb times. The machine will skip this step, however you will have to empty the dustbin later. As I mentioned I have tiled floor and the machine does a good job at keeping it clean. When it comes to a rug it automatically switches to vacuum only and again it does a decent job. After it has done it's assigned task it will return home clean itself up and dry the mop heads. As with everything the machine will need a little maintenance now and again. The app will show you when the to do maintenance and a video of how to do it. Overview I am very happy with my purchase and with the cleaning results. Although the lack of instructions could be forgiven (not wanting to use paper) I feel that including a bottle of cleaning solution is not much of an ask when you are spending several hundred dollars on a cleaning machine. It is for this reason i dropped a star.

Great vacuum and mop
I love this product so far no issues and it does an excellent job at cleaning my apartment around 800 square feet. I researched vacuums for about 1.5 months finding one that would help me w a German Shepherd shedding. Mind you she gets brushed but I can still blow through swiffers. The mop cleans and dries itself so there is no bad smells, the compartments are well sealed so there is also no odor. I loved the dust bag option as I have allergies. The app makes it super convenient to schedule vacuuming or mopping and also enables you to clean by room if needed. The only thing I can tell you is that it is loud when returning to empty the dust bin which to me is not a problem because it seems quite powerful. It vacuums and mops my entire space in about an hour. Plenty of battery life and is a great buy. If you can’t afford the 1500 $ models and don’t want something that is not effective at a lower price, buy this unit. The only other drawback is the dog is not a fan lol, but I’m sure she will get used to it. She does like watching the light on the ceiling in the evening 😆 Update: love the help this vacuum and mop brings. Fair warning don’t forget to empty the dirty water bin or alternatively put a little bit of laundry sanitizer in the waste water because it will smell bad.

Enjoy your time with this wonderful robot
The best thing in My life honestly didn’t expect to love this robot vacuum as much as I do. After using it for several weeks, it has become one of the best investments I’ve made for my home. The suction power is impressive, it handles dust, pet hair, and everyday dirt with ease. The smart navigation helps it clean efficiently without constantly getting stuck, and the self-maintenance features make ownership incredibly convenient. What I love most is the time it saves me. Instead of spending my weekends vacuuming, I can focus on other things while it keeps my floors spotless. ✅ Powerful cleaning performance ✅ Smart and efficient navigation ✅ Easy-to-use app controls ✅ Great for homes with pets ✅ Saves time and effort every day If you’re looking for a reliable robot vacuum that truly delivers, I highly recommend this one. It’s worth every penny!

One year in- DONT DO IT :(
ONE YEAR IN REVIEW I have mixed thoughts because I really like it, the app is great, it cleans great. I’ve stayed on-top of all the maintenance the app has asked me to do and found replacement parts here and there as needed. I have it run everyday and it does a great job, works about as good as I could have imagined in terms of cleaning. Unfortunately exactly one year after purchasing it, 6 days after the one year warranty expired, I started having issues. For about a week I got the same error of “roller brush stuck”. I cleaned the brush, paid for replacement parts, followed every trouble shooting suggestion in the app, same error. Contacted support and did everything they told me to do in terms of trouble shooting. On Reddit I learned this is a common problem and probably from a motor issue. Worked with support for a few weeks and eventually they offered to repair it for me, even though it was a few days over the warranty. Super stoked with that. But had the weirdest interaction with the support people, felt like I was dealing with some like 3rd party questionable service, just not the interactions I expected for such a “high end” expensive product. Contacted them through the app, got an email response and they sent me a shipping label. I packed it up very well, wrapped it up, and sent it off for repair. Like two weeks later get it back on my doorstep, in the same box I sent it in, but all squished. Vacuum just set ontop of the same bubble wrap I sent it in, but like not wrapped or protected . Device was clearly beat up, everything in the box was wet and there were random parts scattered throughout the box and a panel missing from the top of the vacuum that wasn’t even in the box. Also just realized MULTIPLE parts are missing. I’m not only missing a random panel, but also a brush guard, filter and dust bin, all pieces that I sent in. I literally feel like I got scammed. So confused and disappointed. For like a $900 vacuum and only one year out, I’m disappointed to have had such a major issue so quickly and to have such an unprofessional experience with the service group. I’ve never seen something packed so poorly and was shocked, like actually dumbfounded to have found that parts are missing and like such an obvious one too, literally the panel on-top, I noticed it before the box was even open all the way. I couldn’t tell you if it worked or not because with exposed wiring and chips from the missing panel plus all the other missing parts, it literally cannot be used, it’s useless. No idea what to do now besides pray they sent me parts or just replace the thing. UPDATE: 40 something emails later I finally begged someone to send me a new device. Their original suggestion was for me to buy all the replacement parts they took and they would refund me 15% back, ridiculous in my opinion, but I literally cannot buy the most important part, the top panel that was stolen, it’s not something they sell. The “new” device they finally sent me was all scratched up with dirt, gravel, kitty litter and cat food scattered throughout the packaging. The vacuum was literally covered in the gravel and all scratched up. Clearly a returned device that was sent back dirty and no one cleaned it up before sending it to me. I thought it was all cleanable but the scratches were deep and one is right over the camera. I asked if I could exchange it and was literally told I should be grateful they sent me anything and they wouldn’t help me anymore… The customer service is so bad it’s just not worth it, get something else, save yourselves the struggle. Because of all this, I wouldn’t recommend this product. For the price, I’d expect it to last more than a year without a major repair issue needed (replacing the motor) and I’d expect better customer service and a better warranty. Stay away, it’s too expensive and too risky :(

Excellent product, highly recommend. worth the money. huge upgrade
I’ve been using the EUFY X10 Omni Robot Vacuum and Mop for about a month. This is our second Eufy Vaccum the first one was a wedding gift, the max 25C and that one was great, but we really used it until it wasn’t inoperable anymore, pieces started to break and we didn’t feel like replacing it. Wr had it for3 years. We decided to upgrade to the mop vacuum combo with the dock. My wife and I are absolutely thrilled about it. We both have the user app on our phone and can control it from anywhere. The app lets us know when the dust filter needs to be replaced, The water needs to be changed or refilled we still have not emptied the garbage bag yet and run it every day. With the app, you can map all the floors in your house edit rename. The marked consent what floors you have and whether it should be vacuumed and mopped or just vacuumed Which you can edit as well. I’m definitely a tech guy and run my products to their full potential. It really is an excellent product and an even better app. There’s three settings for suction water amount during the mop and vacuuming. While cleaning you have the option to do an edging map, which gets those tight spaces there are some little bits and pieces that it doesn’t pick up, but it does a really great job Having a one and a half year-old obviously our floors are very dirty after meal time but this vaccum helps a ton. There is a small learning curve which we picked up on very quickly. I highly suggest, no connection issues, definitely worth the money. One thing I didn’t realize it is if all of the lights are off, there are two flashlights near the AI camera that run in the dark. This map has not gotten stuck yet. Also, there’s a child lock on it so my son can’t press the buttons when it goes over to the dock. Once he realized there’s nothing he could do. He got bored and walked away. Very happy. Thank you.

Eufy would not run . . . and then, boy, did she!
I plugged it in. The light blinked orange for a couple hours, indicating that shewas charging, the light turned blue, indicating she was charged. I pushed the button for her to start cleaning. She beeped. The light blinked orange, indicating that she was charging (for an hour or so), the light turned blue, indicating she was charged. I used the remote to get her to start cleaning. She beeped. The light blinked orange, indicating that she was charging (for an hour or so), the light turned blue, indicating she was charged. I was getting nowhere. Eufy did not run . . . due to operator error. Operator error occurred because my vision is so poor from cataracts that I could not see the on/off button in the instructions, nor on the bottom of the unit. I did manage to feel around this morning until I found the toggle. Happy days! Eufy worked like a dream . . . quiet enough not to be disturbing and purring loudly enough that I was aware of where she was when I was in or near the room where she was working. I vacuumed the house a couple of days ago with my regular vacuum and dragged a damp microfiber mop over the floor. Then, for the test, I set Eufy loose. I have a long-haired cat . . . and my hair is long as well, so I thought I should probably check the dust bin after about 20 minutes since she'd been working under my bed, where the cat hangs out. (The cat is not sure if Eufy is acceptable or not, but at least she isn't tearing to the other end of the house like she does with the big vacuum.) The bin was FULL. This is not an indictment of the bin. The unit is small and fits very well under most of my furniture. So does my cat, who sheds a lot. So do I (I shed a lot . . .but, I don't fit under the furniture.) The brush was matted with cat hair and with strands of my hair. I removed the brush, cleaned it, and replaced it. By the time Eufy ran her full cycle and docked herself (I could tell she was REALLY tired), I had emptied the bin three times . . . and I know she's holding another full load. Cleaning the brush and emptying the bin emptying are intuitive and easy, and the handy cleaning brush really helps defuzz the roller brush. I figure it's going to take a few times of running her before I get all the cat hair under control. Then, I'll have to figure out how frequently I need to run her for maintenance mode. I will say that one of the reasons I got this unit is because I am a gardener. Every time I come in the house, I bring in dirt from the garden. I have rugs by the doors to catch some of it, but it invariably gets tracked through the house on the tile floors and, even worse, the bamboo floors. Sand and finished hardwood don't mix . . . I might have my floors sanded down to get refinished, but I don't need them sanded every day. Anyway, by the time I got through the house to the shower and got myself cleaned up, I had a major vacuuming job to do . . . but I was already exhausted from working in the yard. I can see it now. Walk in from the garden and push Eufy's start button as I head to the shower. YAY! I expect both my yard and my house will improve out of this one. As for the complaints about Eufy "skipping rooms," I found an easy fix on that one . . . or maybe a couple of easy fixes.I know certain areas of my house need deeper or more thorough cleaning than others. Today , I picked up everything on the floor in my daughter's room (chairs, waste basket, etc.), then put Eufy on the floor in the room, turned her on, shut the door, and set the stove timer for 20 minutes. Figured she would do a pretty thorough job on a "cleared" 10 by 13 room in 20 minutes. She did . . . after she had done my living room, sitting room, kitchen, breakfast nook, office and some of the family room. She's charging now. I'm going to "clear" the office and give her a second chance at that . . . and the same with the family room, blocking that off as well. Anyway, other than closed doors, I was thinking about cutting the stopper strips in various lengths and just placing these strips on the floor in doorways or at room transitions temporarily to force Eufy to focus on particular rooms or areas. (The family room itself will probably take a full half hour and it is more likely that Eufy will do a thorough job if I can clear some of the floor items to an adjacent room and if she doesn't have the option of wandering off to do my bedroom. (I did find I had to tuck in the bedskirts to get her to go under the bed. Guess she was afraid of the dark.) The strips are NOT something I want to stick to my bamboo floors . . . and are unsightly on my white tile, but I would think they would probably still work even if they weren't stuck down. I do have one safety concern. When Eufy is off "cleaning," what happens if my cat happens to lie down on the nice, warm charger? Or if my grandson is crawling on the floor and rolls a metal truck over the contacts or sits on it? I don't want to short the unit out testing to see if it's "live." It needs to be plugged in for Eufy to find her way "home," and I'm using the time that Eufy is vacuuming to attend to other chores (I'm not sitting and watching the charger) so are those two shiny, silver, child-attractive contacts a shock risk? Anyone have any knowledge on this? I suggested to the Eufy Company that they make the easy start instructions available on its website so that older customers, whose eyesight is failing, might be able to increase the image size to something readable. The lines on the drawings are delicate, making the details very hard to see for old eyes. Many of us can still see SOME, but many of us need letters and pictures larger and bolder than what came with the unit. Perhaps, the company could even make a large print guide available upon phone request for those who do not use computers. The elderly market, OMG! Our adult children are busy with careers and raising children, so they need this kind of help. Older people? Our joints don't like hauling around big vacuum cleaners. We don't get down on our hands and knees as easily as we used to--or at least we don't get up as well. We don't have the energy we used to have. And, many retirees that I know are busier now than when they were working--caring for grandchildren, helping their even-more-elderly parents, starting a second career, or putting a lot of time into volunteer work. So, I'm a happy camper. I didn't have to pull out the heavy vacuum today and by the end of the day, I will have made a BIG impact on "defuzzing" the house. I've got this in mind for 3 people as a Christmas present. I just hope Eufy has a long and healthy life. Moving a little furniture to help her out . . . not a problem. Go for it, Eufy!

Very handy and helpful
An Update as I have had it for almost a year now. Still love this machine. With the regular reminders for scheduled maintenance, it's still performing like the first day. There are mapping "shifts" that seemed to come up recently but I just had to re jig the map. I can really appreciate this machine. It is very intuitive and makes the weekend work load that much more attainable and complete. I have two floors, a little over 1000 squ ft per floor and I was finding my weekends consumed with "catch up" cleaning. The addition of this machine is as beneficial as the dishwasher or washing machine and dryer. It is doing most of the work so you don't have to. I just need to do the daily wipe down of the surfaces and this machine will take care of the floors. I try and use it daily, that's the true benefit of this machine. With daily use I have found the dirty water is getting cleaner and cleaner. I can spend more time on the hard to reach areas and focus on other tasks. I enjoy the fact that I can plan my cleaning as well. The machine mapped my home rather quickly (and on it's own), I was happy about that. It seems to be getting better and better at getting around the house. I have managed to figure out how to separate rooms, insert no go zones, and tailor the cleaning to a room by room need. As a first time buyer of one of these home maintenance machines, I must say I am very impressed. Is it as good as what I would do? No. But it is much better at keeping the daily mess at bay so I can focus on other things. I would recommend this product as I have read the reviews, looked other models up on line for three months prior to finally making this purchase. I took the feed back to heart in this product profile and am happy to report that the other reviews are accurate. Consider some of the negative feed back as an opportunity to understand. Reading about the other options out there from the cheaper to the more expensive, I found this one to be quite good overall. The app is great for telling me how to maintain the machine parts, I am a firm believer in preventative maintenance of your home assisting cleaning supplies. The better care they receive the better cleaning ability they can produce.

Great Product!
Writing this at 3 monts after purchase. Love sitting back and watching my floors get vacuumed and mopped. I've had other robot vacuums brands for 12 years and this unit is the best by far. It offers amazing features at a reasonable price. The app works great. Only comment is that we have loose rugs and 1 in every 10 cleaning sessions the one mop will fall off when it tries to get onto a rug, but this does not happen often.
