I used this wire to rewire a used commercial pizza oven I purchased that I wanted to overhaul and upgrade the wiring. This was easy to work with though you better have sharp wire strippers because of the fiberglass outer shielding. Can't find wire like this locally and the local supply house that sells commercial parts for furnace to commercial ovens had this wire at more than double the cost.

First things first. I ordered 14AWG and I got 14AWG. The wire is copper and it has a 2 layer high temperature Mica and Fiberglass coating. I used this to rewire a vintage popcorn machine pot with connections directly to the heating element and it turned out fantastic. To be honest, I was shocked at the quality of the wire versus the price. Had I managed to find anything similar to this at one of the box stores near me, it would have cost 4 times as much... Unfortunately, it's easier to buy bread and flowers in a box store than any sort of hardware product you might actually need.
