It Works!
I used this item to replace the wiring in my electric smoker. The original wiring owuld burn out after only a few years use. I have only used the new wiring one time but have had no issues.

The right stuff.
Absolutely the right stuff for shielding fan switch wiring on a gas fireplace. I used my thermal camera to find a good spot to locate the switch- on the backside of the face, above the fire box. Not a friendly place for wires.

First things first. I ordered 14AWG and I got 14AWG. The wire is copper and it has a 2 layer high temperature Mica and Fiberglass coating. I used this to rewire a vintage popcorn machine pot with connections directly to the heating element and it turned out fantastic. To be honest, I was shocked at the quality of the wire versus the price. Had I managed to find anything similar to this at one of the box stores near me, it would have cost 4 times as much... Unfortunately, it's easier to buy bread and flowers in a box store than any sort of hardware product you might actually need.
