Storelli Shin Guards, Unisex, Flexible & Durable Protection, Ultra-Lightweight, Breathable Air Channels

Didn't expect to like these so much, they're fantastic. My son is a U17 player for both soccer and rugby. He's very, very physical and works on the back line. I paired these with the padded sleeves because he takes a lot of cheap ankle hits from frustrated strikers. They go on easy, hold up very well even on terribly maintained, hard dry pitches, and provide a LOT of protection. They made him feel invincible with the side effect of making lots of strikers choose to pick a different lane. Coverage is great, durability is great, they are incredibly thin and very comfortable. They fit true to size, just be honest with yourself when ordering and remember kids tend to get bigger, not smaller. I'm an adult league player and goalie coach--I lost one of my custom-formed shinnies and will be stealing his for now. I've also begun recommending the padded sleeves and these guards to all my keepers as well. Unanticipated benefits: they make putting on socks much easier, especially for kids with large calves---the sleeve material slides on easier than socks and then socks slide over the sleeves easier. There's no left/right/up/down movement with the guards, either--they stay put, even with contact. Being fully encased means that they don't get funky, either. Unlike the sleeves with integrated guards, they're easy to wash and easier to dry. Lastly, on cost: They aren't the cheapest. They're also nowhere near the most expensive. There's very little safety gear in soccer and LOTS of ways to get hurt. If makes sense to me to spend what you can on worthwhile gear to keep yourself and your player as safe as possible--especially when it doesn't interfere with play.

These are great shin guards. They provide great protection and comfort to my kids.

Excellent! My son was getting heat rash with all his other shin guards. I bought these to stop it and it worked!! He has never had a problem since. I was so happy they actually did what was promised.

The Storelli shin guards are durable and well made. Bought these in conjunction with the Storelli sleeves with pocket. My son had several plastic guards the got kicked and cracked. They were also uncomfortable, so we upgraded to a leg sleeve version with a built in guard. They were nicer, but you couldn’t take the guard in and out. This Storellu version is the best of both worlds. The guard fits perfectly and the material is lightweight and durable. My son also likes the camo pattern option as well.

I bought these awesome shin guards for my 13-year-old daughter. There's enough padding that she uses them for both school soccer and her club team. I like that they stay in place – the worst is having them slip when you're running. She says they're comfortable, which is most important.

I am calm because my son under awesome protection. He can focus on the game.
