I bought this to give as a Christmas gift. I opened it to test it before wrapping it. It seems to work great. It has all the old retro games that I liked as a kid, Mario Bros, Punchout, Paperboy, Mortal Kombat and many more. The controller feels a lot like the PlayStation controller but not as heavy. There are way too many games to look through so I’m glad there is a “search” option so you can find what you’re looking for quickly. I played a few seconds of Super Mario Bros. The controller response might not be as quick as the original controller but it still gets the job done! Great value for the money. I’ll definitely purchase more of these as cheap gift options.

I guess I shouldn't have expected much, I mean the device cost $35 bucks. that being said, I was hoping to get some fun out of it for maybe a year or so. Right out of the box, the controllers won't pair with the device. I tried everything, 45 minutes of resets, new batteries, different powe blocks, multiple TV's, YouTube videos, online FAQ and reddit feeds. Nothing worked. So I packed the POS up and sent it back and ordered from a competitor. There's always a chance this new one I ordered won't work but we shall see. You may order this device and it works like gold, I might have just gotten a bad device.

UPDATE: you can save progress, simply press select then start in the middle of the game, then you will be prompted to save, it allows the saving of multiple plays, which is pretty awesome. Got this to see what an 'all in one' system would be like, and it turns out pretty good. Given the equipment and preloaded games, this is a good deal. Performance wise, it loads fast and plays just like the original consoles. Setup is intuitive, user interface is easy. I'm both impressed and happy with this. Lots of memories playing games I hadn't seen in over 20 years. Big thanks to the people who put this together!

There are a ton of games, there are some that don't work,stuck at loading screen, if you leave it on it eventually locks up and you have to unplug and plug it back in, I'm waiting for it to get corrupted doing that. It has two controllers which is nice, but there are a lot of games that you have to switch off with 1 controller because they didnt map the keys to the other controller correctly. Their search function sucks. The controllers do work really well though. I was hoping it would SAVE the high scores, NOPE!

Fun to play but continuously freezes and we have to unplug and restart, which loses all of our saved game progress. It’s annoying. Spend the extra money and get one that doesn’t freeze all of the time.

i was amazed how this little console can provide 10k+ old games. they bring back a lot of childhood memories.

Remote not working, broken before I even used it, my kids are upset they cannot use their Christmas present.....not worth the deception 😒😒
