A Must Have for College Students
These wool dryer balls have worked incredibly well for me. As a college student, the dryers in my dorm would never fully dry my clothes, and I was constantly having to run extra drying cycles. Since I started using these dryer balls, my clothes dry much faster and come out feeling great. They have 100% cut down my drying time, which saves both time and money. They’re easy to use, reusable, and much better than constantly buying dryer sheets. I’ve noticed less static and my laundry dries more evenly as well. If you’re dealing with weak apartment or dorm dryers, I highly recommend giving these a try. They have made my life so much easier and are one of the best laundry purchases I’ve made.

Never using anything else tbh
They're so simple and easy without the gross dryer sheet residue! I love them!! They really work well and last forever too, they're just nice, clean, white wool balls. They're also dense and hefty so they'll take so many tumbles. Will ALWAYS keep these on hand!

Good-bye, dryer sheets!
I have a friend who uses these due to allergy issues, and I was intrigued. When I ran out of dryer sheets a couple of months ago, I decided to get these. I liked the idea that they were reusable for quite a long time, are easier on your clothes and your dryer, are natural and environmentally-friendlier than dryer sheets, and dry your clothes faster thus using less electricity. I use four balls for a regular load of clothes, and 2-3 for a small one. I quite like these. They do seem to get your clothes drier faster than dryer sheets, and my clothes are just as wrinkle-free. I had static-cling issues in the beginning, but upon reading the reviews here I discovered that you could spritz each ball with water to combat that-- it worked. Now I spray them every time I use them. I have also seen that you can use essential oil on the balls if you want to add some scent. I did that once, putting one drop of Fabulous Frannie's "Vanilla Latte" oil on each of the four balls, but it didn't seem to transfer to the sheets with which I dried with them. Will increase the drops per ball each time and report back if it works. The one and only thing I don't necessarily care for about these, is that if there's not much in the dryer they can be quite loud. I mean, this is only logical though. I frequently hang clothes outside on the line to dry, but do not hang socks outside. When you have just socks and a couple of dryer balls in there, it's noisy. But it's completely bearable for all the other benefits you get. And I don't ever hear them when there's a full load. I do recommend these for all their benefits!

Solid alternative to dryer sheets!
They're decent. A solid alternative to dryer sheets which are expensive, have to be replaced again and again, and can add skin irritants and overpowering fragrances to your garments. My only gripe is I still have some static, but less often. I'd rather use them than not and I'd rather use them than dryer sheets. I'd say buy them.

good stuff
they work really well. if only I can get myself to pick them off the floor when the fall out of the dryer and I would use them more.

100% Effective and No Static
These are fantastic! I wish I had known about them years ago. I have sensitive skin and I have been using scent-free dryer sheets for years. Now, I have completely removed the dryer sheets. And 0 static! I've had a set for a year, and just bought another one from my mom and sister (I have found 3 balls per dryer load is sufficient). Enjoy!

Best Thing for My Dyer and Clothes
These are great, I love them. Get them if you want your clothes fresh, without wrinkles, and fluffy. I can’t believe I wasted so much money on dryer sheets, these are so economical and the best. I also heard dryer sheets are not good for the fabric on your clothes and your washer/dryer machines. I usually am allergic to wool but not to these so if you are allergic to lambs wool with sweaters, just try these out. They are the best thing since discovering cleaning vinegar for my laundry days.

Not sure if they help, but makes me feel fancy
Never used dryer balls before and was not sure what to expect. I originally bought them because I needed to dry a down comforter and was told I had to use dryer balls to do it. They are supposed to make things dry faster, but I can’t really say that I notice that. I have been using them all the time now, but I still use a dryer sheet with them. They often get lost in the pile of clothes when I take them out of the dryer, so it’s hard to keep them all together all the time. I don’t notice any scent to them. I can hear them in the dryer, but they are not overly noisy. These are slightly smaller than a tennis ball.

Exceptional long-term durability—2+ years of heavy use and still going strong!
A fantastic, eco-friendly alternative to dryer sheets that cuts drying times and eliminates chemical skin irritation. I purchased this 6-pack of XL Wool Dryer Balls back in February 2024, and they have been put to work continuously ever since. Running roughly 5 loads of laundry per week means these have been through well over 500 dryer cycles in the last two and a half years, and they are holding up remarkably well. My Experience and Long-Term Observations: • Impressionable Durability: Despite heavy, daily family use, the wool hasn't unraveled, frayed, or lost its shape. They look and function almost as good as the day I took them out of the package. • Saves Time & Energy: Tossed in with towels, bedding, or clothing, they do a great job separating wet fabrics to let heat circulate better. I've noticed a clear reduction in overall drying time, which saves energy on heavy laundry days. • Static Relief Without Skin Irritation: I originally switched away from traditional liquid fabric softeners and dryer sheets because they were aggravating my sensitive skin and allergies. These natural wool balls effectively tame static cling and fluff up laundry without any irritating chemicals or perfumes. Pros & Cons: • Pros: Incredible multi-year durability; reduces drying times for large loads; hypoallergenic and allergy-friendly; 100% natural with no chemical residue. • Cons: Can be a bit noisy in the first few minutes of a cycle when tumbling against an empty drum (though they quiet down quickly once mixed with clothing). Final Thoughts: Switching from single-use dryer sheets to these reusable wool balls is one of the best simple swaps I’ve made in my home routine. After over two years of rigorous testing in a busy household, I can recommend them without hesitation—they are built to last!

Excellent product!
My laundry always comes out fresh, soft, static free and helps to prevent duvet covers and sheets from becoming a tangled mess! ( I always zip or button up my duvet covers before washing and drying) Wool dryer balls can last for 1,000 dry loads or two to five years, depending on how often they are used. You can tell it's time to replace them when the outer layer of felt starts to come apart or the balls look scraggly. When you're done using your wool dryer balls: Compost: Since your dryer balls are wool to the core, your compost bin will always be a great final resting place for them (and you can speed up the composting process by cutting them up in smaller pieces) Pet toys: If you have pets, dogs and cats love our wool dryer balls! They make excellent indoor pet balls because they are softer on furniture and less noisy when bouncing. They also make great outdoor toys and are more eco-friendly than almost any other pet ball (100% natural wool; no plastic, and if you lose them they’ll naturally biodegrade). Note: Always supervise your pets while playing with toys. Especially if your pet is a puppy or a chewer as they may eventually break the balls. If they do happen to chew them up, the balls can still be composted! Fabric fresheners: Retired dryer balls make wonderful fabric fresheners and can be used to scent dry items. Since they don’t get placed in the dryer’s heat, smells will actually last longer. Your dryer balls can be charged with whatever essential oil you’d like. Use 3 drops per freshener (ball) – or spritz the ball if you’re using an essential oil spray – and then place them in your closet, your garment drawers, your gym bag… wherever you’d like! Air freshener: I have placed cut to fit pieces of them in old diffuser bottles or vases with a couple drops of essential oil to freshen up rooms. You can attach a string to them with a long needle and attach them to a hanger closets, your car, or anywhere! I like to use old dryer balls with essential oil in smelly shoes/boots! Keep in mind you can keep laundering them, and reusing them until they fall apart! Crafting: Pin cushion, they are perfect for that!! 1) Finger painting for kids – make silly faces on them! 2) Making planets by painting the balls, then hanging them and creating a solar system, 3) Covering the balls with fabric and using them as a base for handmade dolls, 4) Using them to sponge-paint/decorate a vase or bowl, 5) Creating holiday ornaments, 6) And countless other holiday and seasonal crafts (wreaths, snowmen, spiders, ghosts or a cute pumpkin ) The sky's the limit with crafting ideas! Playtime: Old dryer balls aren’t just good for pets. They are great for kids and toddlers, too! Use them for indoor or outdoor batting practice, to learn juggling, or to have an indoor snowball fight. For a fun baby toy, place a few balls in a bucket, cover it, and let the little one drum away. They’re soft, quiet and tons of fun. Therapy balls: When you’ve got tight muscles or a body ache, massage balls can be far too firm. Your used dryer balls offer a softer, more restorative option. Use one by leaning back in a recliner and placing it against the sore spot on your back. Minutely move it around to ease the pain – and don’t forget to breathe. Donate: If the balls are still intact, donate them to animal rescues so that their residents can play with fun, non toxic toys. Animal shelters are always in need of blankets, balls and a wide variety of things, so reach out and discover what is unused in your home that can help comfort some rescues near you! Someone asked me what to do with old wool dryer balls and I was hit with a ton of ideas! LOL I hope these tips help!

I replaced my chemical dryer sheets with six massive sheep tumbleweeds and I have no regrets
THE AWAKENING: Before tossing these BABL LIFE wool dryer balls into my life, my laundry routine was a chemical disaster zone. I was using traditional liquid fabric softeners and synthetic dryer sheets like a mad scientist, coating my clothes in artificial fragrances until my closet smelled like a radioactive lavender field. My towels were losing their absorbency, my lint trap looked like a cotton candy machine, and I was spending a small fortune just to stop my socks from clinging to my shirts like static-powered parasites. THE DIVINE INTERVENTION: •The 100% Sheep Power: These balls are made of pure, 100% New Zealand wool with absolutely zero synthetic fillers. They soften your clothes purely through gentle separating friction action, meaning you get incredibly fluffy laundry without coating your skin in mysterious, harsh manufacturing chemicals. •The 3-Inch XL Boulders: These things are huge. Because they are the massive 3-inch XL version, they don't get lost in giant loads of heavy bedding or blankets. They aggressively muscle their way through the damp laundry, forcing massive pockets of air through the fabrics and slashing total drying time significantly. •The Hidden Static Hack: The instructions feature an absolute wizardry trick—if you spray or drizzle a bit of tap water onto the balls before starting a cold, dry-day cycle, it completely neutralizes all static electricity. It feels like real household sorcery. THE CAT FACTOR: Do not leave these unattended on the laundry room counter. My cat spotted these tennis-ball-sized spheres of pure sheep scent and immediately assumed I had purchased her a six-pack of luxury, premium rolling targets. She launched an immediate heist, and I spent twenty minutes chasing a frantic feline down the hallway as she dribbled a hundred percent New Zealand wool across the floor. On the bright side, the tightly felted design holds up surprisingly well against curious paws, but keep them locked away unless you want your laundry accessories turning into cat toys. THE SACRIFICE: •The Indoor Thunderstorm: When you throw six of these 3-inch XL boulders into a drying cycle with heavy jeans or towels, your laundry room will sound exactly like a professional bowling alley. While the wool itself is relatively quiet on a light shirt load, a heavy spinning load will make you think a minor thunderstorm has moved into your house. •The Disappearing Act: Despite being large enough to double as baseballs, they possess a magical ability to hide inside the sleeves of sweaters and the fitted corners of your bedding. Expect to randomly find a rogue wool ball rolling out of your pants two days after you did the wash. FINAL thoughts: My toxic relationship with disposable chemical dryer sheets is officially over. If you want a silent, delicate, zero-effort experience, stick to your wasteful sheets. But if you want faster drying times, incredibly soft towels, and six durable wool balls that will easily survive thousands of loads, this pack offers massive value.

Money Saving and No Static Bonus!
These are great! Love using them in my dryer with my clothes, bed sheets, towels - everything. Work so much more effectively than dryer sheets and the clothes feel super soft and not static filled. Already seeing a big savings in costs using these over the dryer sheets. Super happy with these. Highly recommend!

I wish I had discovered these years ago...
In an attempt to reduce the number of chemicals used around our home and to get to the bottom of a skin irritation that I seemed to have developed recently (which ended up being the brand of soap I was using), I wanted to ditch all the years of Bounce dryer sheets and give these a try. I have never enjoyed using dryer sheets but always did as I thought they were the golden ticket to soft clothes that smelled nice. Once I gave these a try, I quickly realized will never go back to dryer sheets again. Find a detergent that you like and that agrees with your skin type, throw your clothes into the dryer along with all of these wool balls and you will have soft clothes with minimal static cling. I have read other reviews that complain how the clothes are not as soft or they have more static compared to those dried with dryer sheets, but I have noticed no issues using these and if anything, I like the feel of my clothes even more now as they're not all coated in dryer sheet chemicals and perfumey scents. I would highly recommend these to anyone.
