Hayward LPCUS11050 Universal ColorLogic LED Pool Light, 12-Volt, 50-Foot Cord

I installed this myself, it was easy if you understand wiring. The effect of it at night is WOW. Turns your pool into a vivid light show. There are some really cool effects that happen depending on the moonlight too. I'm not a big reviewer, but everyone who sees my pool at night wants one. Bonus...it uses about 10 cents in electricity when left on all night.

This light is expensive and it died in less than 6 months. It was out of warranty already. The electrician who had put it in came back when it stopped working because the company told me it was probably my transformer. So I paid for a new transformer and the trip of the electrician to find out that the light was bad. I was never impressed by the quality of the lighting to start with so I didn't fight too hard. It's dim and muddy and pain to change the color. Often it wouldn't change when it's supposed to change and changed by itself when it wasn't. Don't buy it.

Beautiful lights and the install was fairly easy. Would recommend to anyone wanting to have some color in their pool. A little pricey but you get what you pay for.

My pool professional talked me into buying these lights, he said it would save us money because the LED his much cheaper to run. I should not have listened to him as our PENTAIR lights were just fine for 5 years and never burned out, now one of my COLORLOGIC lights have burned out, i called Hayward and they said TOO BAD because they are 16 months old and they only give ONE YEAR warranty - so all i can do is throw it away and buy another one? That is just rediculous - what terrible customer service and zero product support after ONE year? i am going to replace my lights with Jandy and shoot my pool professional with spit wads if he even considers suggesting these lights to any of his other customers - HAYWARD is inferrior to PENTAIR and ZODIAC - buyer beware!!!

For the cost and the fact that the warranty period is only one year, it was incredibly disappointing to have it last just 20 months. No seal breach, no electrical problems, just a dead unit after very little usage. My regular filament bulbs used to last at least 4 to 5 years. LED's should be good for much longer. This is of course not an LED issue but rather a logic board issue. I have contacted Hayward to see if they are wiling to work with me at all and that will determine if this review gets updated or not. So far the response has not been good..... *******Update 03/15/17******** Upgrading from 1 star to 3 stars. After speaking with a different rep at Hayward today, I was informed that for this model there was in fact an out of warranty replacement program due to known design flaws. The only requirement is that they have to ship the replacement unit to my local Pinch a Penny and I will be required to pay them to install it. So it's still going to cost me a little over 100.00 but that is far better than almost 600.00

This didn't work out for us but they quickly refunded.

Had no problems installing to replace failed incandescent 120 Volt AC/ 300 Watt fixture. The only issue was obtaining precise physical dimensions to insure that the physical replacement could be accomplished without major revisions to the existing Pool Light Niche.

Our pool was completed in March and we didn't start using it until around end of April due to cold weather. It is now September and they are no longer working. Really frustrating to throw away so much money. This is ridiculous. We bought them through amazon but had our pool builder install them for us professionally so no reason why this should be happening. The lights sometimes turn on only to switch right off after a second or two. Then they do not turn on at all. Or they blink quickly and shut off and do not turn back on for a while later. There has been no misuse of them and now we are afraid the spa lights will go soon. Save your money! I cannot believe our old pool at a previous home had better luck with the old school non -LED lights. That dinosaur is still ticking just fine. Will be calling hayward to see what can be done but am not expecting much from what I have read in other comments.

En remplacement d'une autre Colorlogic qui s'était rempli d'eau après 6 ans. Celle-ci a pris l'eau en moins de 16 mois... Et bien sûr, garantie de 12 mois... A 1200$ par année, une "chance" que cela consomme moins d'électricité...
