Negative reviews on here or youtube or total crap. Great tent. Great investment
Very roomy. No middle bar going the length of the cot. Repeat no middle bar like the green competition cot. I looked forever for a cor that fit my large size. Im six ft 3 300lbs. This tent cot holds my weight plus my 80 lb lab just fine. It doesnt creak or shift when i move around inside of it. The setup for the first time was a little difficult, but now i know how to do it, and much quicker. The interior dimensions are the full 85 inches lengthwise. Widthwise, there are support bars that take up an inch on each side, but with a proper camp mat or inflatable bed, this shouldnt be a problem as the mat will cover these. I did receive a ripped cover bag, but the seller was super quick to my message, and have sent a new one to me free of charge. If i dont receive it, i will update my review, but in dealing with them, i fully expect to receive the replacement cover bag very soon. The tent its self offers four windows with great ventilation. Plus all four windows function as doors too, or can be screen windows, or fully zipped up. Plus, theres a rain cover provided, although you can get away without it in almost all rainy situations. There is a foam padding built into the bottom, but mostly for insulation, not a mattress. Although its pretty comfy with just the cot. However im a belly sleeper, and im ordering an exped ive heard so much about, just for added comfort. With the windows closed it retains heat very well, and i would consider it a four season tent. I havent used in winter yet, but with the rain fly and the extra layer i can see that it will retain heat very well. I never get free items in exchange for reviews, although i wouldnt mind if camping gear companies wanted to start to lol, but for now, just my hard earned money being spent. im a single father with little money, so if i love or hate a product, im writing a review, because i know what its like to not have money to waste. This tent seems to blow away the competition. Had a teton xxl cot and tent. Dimensions on that one were not accurate to sleeping dimensions. Also, the setup of that cot is likely to snap your fingers off. Also, they have never fixed the rainfly problem, and want you to buy a seperate rainfly for more money. I looked at those kamprites, and i wouldnt even consider because that giant metal bar down the middle. Also, the material on this tent is thicker than any other tent cot ive researched. This thing is huge, but its dimensions are clearly listed, and they are accurate. Wont fit in my trunk and i have a dodge magnum. But it would fit in a large roof rack cargo box, or in my case, i strap onto my hitch carrier. Not sure why some people write up negative reviews on this. Some say hard to setup. Well almost every tent takes a few practice setups to get it right. Others complain about the side support bars taking away a whole inch on each side of the width. Really? Come on get a mat if it bothers you. They dont stick up that high. Others complain about rolling to the middle. Well im 300 lbs and dont have that problem. No girlfriend here, so cant attest to the couples usage, but just from seeing how rock solid this thing is, yes, you could definetely have sex in this thing. Its not super tall, so the freaky dinky stuff may be out, but get a room for that. Its camping, not amateur porn hour. May be my longest review to date, but i viewed this as a major purchase, and the ratings ive seen from other buyers blew my mind, so i wanted to answer any questions people may have. Also i found only two youtube video reviews, and one woman said on there she was 5ft8 and only had 4 inches left to spare. Well i dont see how. Im six ft 3 and when i sleep on my belly i put my arms out above my head and stretch my toes out flat, making me effectively 7 plus feet long, and it still fits me. So ill be posting my own youtube review here soon. Cant say enough good things about this tent. Originally was gonna buy a rooftop tent but couldnt justify spending 1000 to 3000 more dollars than what this cost. For very similar dimensions. Plus im not an overlander, so for me leaving my tent off my car seemed way more practical. Dont want to close up a tent every time the kids want a pizza or a chocolate from the gas station around the corner from the campground. Anyways, If you saw the two reviews on youtube like i did, and were concerned about the size, dont be. Those reviews are crap or older model or something. I bought in june 2018. If you read the negative reviews here, and are concerned, well i dont understand how they had a problem. Exactly accurate dimensions and great service from the seller replacing the storage bag, just because it had a small rip, with no questions asked and in a timely manner.

Built For Two, Best For One
My daughter and her family invited me to go camping with them this summer and I really wanted to go, but I had long given all my camping equipment away when the last of my kids were grown. A couple of two men tents were offered, but the condition of them was questionable so I researched these cot/tent options bit the bullet, and purchased it. I liked this one best because it was a double wide and looked sturdy and I thought perhaps my husband, who is not a camping fan, and I could take overnights somewhere on occasion and share it. The tent goes up fairly easily, although you need to have one person hold down an end of the cot while you are securing the other.end It was a little tricky getting it completely flat but after adjusting some clasps underneath, it flattened right out, so set up was easy and probably took about ten minutes. I brought pillows and blankets from home and made my nest inside. There are pouches along the inside top where earplugs, flashlights, etc can be stored and you can easily sit up in this tent. The cot is extremely sturdy and comfortable but I would recommend putting something waterproof on top of the cot so ground moisture doesn't seep upward and make you cold during the night. I had a wool blanket underneath me that worked fine, but a foam egg crate would work too. I did use the cover that goes on top of the tent on a colder night and it helped a great deal with keeping me warm. I don't really know that my husband and I would be comfortable together for a night in this tent even though we are average height and weight, although I do believe it would support us both. For me, alone, it was great. I had my own room and didn't have to share a room in my grandkid's tent, although I did need to use their tent to change my clothes. I look forward to using it again in the summers to come!

The packaging it comes in is not very good, though
Tested out this tent cot for a couple nights this weekend. It can be a little awkward to set up when you first get it out of the box and the instructions are not very detailed, but I think people will be able to figure most of it out. It definitely does reduce the time needed to set up and take down a tent. The bag comes with plenty of give, so you don't have to try to force it back in the bag. The packaging it comes in is not very good, though. Part of the box was torn open and there was no padding in the box. If there is a lot of mud, you will probably want a tarp or something to set it on to avoid getting mud on the legs and the sides when setting up and taking down. We didn't have to use the rain fly thankfully, and it was nice having four sides of ventilation. I think if it is hot, there may not be enough venting in the rain fly for the tent to be a comfortable temperature, but we don't plan on camping much during the summer anyway. You will probably want a level camping site for the tent. Our site was a little sloped and we kept sliding down to the end a little bit with using the sleeping bag. If the ground is really uneven, this might cause the legs to not both stay all the way down. We had some trouble getting both legs to go down anyway, but we figured out the bars have to both be in a certain position in the grooves on the side for them to go down. This tent should accommodate 2 average to small people, but I don't think it would be comfortable at all for more than one larger person. Also, it depends on your preference if you will need extra padding, but it made both me and my husband pretty sore and have to adjust positions often with only using a double sleeping bag in it. It was better than sleeping on the ground, but I think we will have to get some type of padding to use with it in the future. It has interior pockets at the top inside of both ends. I was able to put my size 9 shoes in them, but larger sized shoes might not fit. One thing I liked about this tent vs the Kamprite one is it doesn't have a bar that goes down the middle of the cot like the double Kamprite one does.

I understand the reason you would respond with " why would I buy a tent I have to fix" well this tent is perfect for a multitude
3 stars for now. I have not slept outside in it yet so I cannot give it an solid 4 or 5 star yet. -0.5 stars for the stitching. - suggestion* - if your handy with a sewing machine you should double stich some of the tight areas or do the entire thing. I understand the reason you would respond with " why would I buy a tent I have to fix" well this tent is perfect for a multitude of camping situations if your crafty you could probably make it yourself. I will absolutely touch up the stitching before I let it rip and have loose material. Just a thought!! -0.5 stars for design - after setting it up its clear that this tent will not vent properly and condensation will absolutely build up (many others have commented on this). I have debated buying mosquito net and cutting my own vent in the top/ sewing it with a flap. the other star is only because I have not slept in it yet. space - my wife and I are average height and weight and we fit pretty comfortable in the tent with a couple of inches between one another / there really isn't space for gear if your with a second person in the tent "do not be fooled" you will not have very much space for anything else. This tent is for car side camping and all of your camping gear will probably need to be in your vehicle. weight - its bananas this tent is around 50lbs. its great for the bed of a truck or suv. ? - is there a bar running across the bottom yes!! There is a support bar in the middle across the width of the tent but you probably wont even come close to it. There is a huge benefit of not sleeping on the ground ie bugs, snakes, water etc. I own a Teton king sleeping bag and it makes the perfect sleeping pad plus its incredibly warm. the weight / size. the description really doesn't do justice and I guess that kind of my fault. _________________________________________________________________________________ And finally and Update !!!!!! So I am leaving it at 3 stars because this was our first night in the tent on a fairly cool night in the mountains (NH) . Now sleeping off of the ground A+ experience , sleeping next to your terrified of coyotes wife C- experience but I cant hold that against the tent. - the Velcro that holds the flap down ripped completely off after the first use :( - Sleeping off of the ground as I stated was excellent - Again I have a Teton king sleeping bag and it makes for a wonderful pad to sleep on in the tent - I did try to sleep on the cot without any padding to give it a go and yes its still better then the ground and the best part is there are no painful cross bars to bother you. -what else.... Hmm!!! AHAAAA when we woke up in the morning it was like being rained on. That was a fun experience to go through. You literally will be soaked form the tent. Thankfully we have waterproof cell phones. Due to the lack of ventilation in the ceiling the condensation is very excessive. there is a loose area in the top of the tent that could absolutely be cut and a flap with some no seums net could go really far. Since I do love the tent that's exactly what I plan to do. -Weight - well the tent is pretty heavy as I've already stated but its great for suv/truck side or backyard camping. Good luck getting it into a car! I did move and set it up myself to see how well I would do if I was alone and it went up in under 5 minutes. And lets not leave the last part out. SPACE! my wife (5'5") 104 lbs and myself (5'7") 179lbs fit comfortably in the tent we did touch shoulders for most of the night but that's because of the poorly placed pad we set up. If you are car side camping bring all the comfy stuff you can to lay on and it becomes as comfy as your bed in no time. -

Excellant alternative to a ground tent
I really like this tent. I will be using it for a week coming up shortly so I'll edit this review if I find anything else worth noting. First, this thing is very large and heavy! You will not be using this on any kind of hiking trip. This is for car camping only. Inside, there is just enough room to sit up. There are organizer pouches at the ends and a hook in the middle to hang a light. The four entrances are all covered with nice no-see-em mesh as well as the doors. Use the vents! When I first set this up and got in, I zipped it up tight and it got stuffy and hot very quick. I'm not sure if it's air tight but don't chance it. With all the door flaps open and just the mesh in place is breathes very well. It's easily large enough for an adult and child to share. Two adults better be very "familiar" as it'll be a cozy fit. I have a self inflating pad that fits in side and then a sleeping bag and it's perfect. It's easy to set up. Just look at the directions first and realize that there are straps at the end that you synch tight so that they don't come up every time you push down on the opposite side. TLDNR, I am very happy with this and highly recommend.

The tent cot is sturdy. I am 6'3" and it felt rock solid
I just spent the night on this and I am very impressed. The tent cot is sturdy. I am 6'3" and it felt rock solid. There is plenty of room for one big guy with gear, and cozy for couples. I wouldn't try to fit two large guys in it though. Easy setup and takedown - read the instructions, make sure you open it up on its side. The cot bed is insulated. It has a thin pad that keeps out the cold, but you will probably want a sleeping pad in addition, same as any cot. The rain fly is pretty good. It goes on like a fitted sheet. There are tie downs to secure the fly to the legs of the cot. The tie downs could be a bit longer, but they were adequate. The fly only opens on one side and there is no built in way to keep the flap up. I used a pair of binder clips which worked perfectly. Ventilation without the fly is great. With the fly, not so much. Having additional openings or roll up flaps on the fly would be the only thing I would change.

Good tent for the $$. You won't be disappointed!
Received as promised, but the box had looked like it had been opened before (several types of tape used). I didn't take this up with Amazon or the seller as everything was there (minus instructions) and I was leaving the next day for an outing. I used the pics on their site to figure it out(which was easy enough). This thing rocks! I'm a big guy (5'10 240 lb) and I fit myself, my pack and a spare pair of boots without an issue. Set up took about 10 minutes the 1st time and about 6 minutes the second time. I set it up at home overnight 1st to stretch it out and test it before using it. The rainfly is a heavier gauge nylon and coated on the inside for better protection. The 1st night we had steady rain and NO LEAKS! The 2nd night it poured all night, and still no leaks! A definite +! Sorry about the video quality. It's the first time I've used it on my phone. My only complaints are (and they're MINOR but worth writing about) : 1) It's low to the ground-about 11" or so. If you're a "bigger" person, or have back issues, it might be a little difficult getting in/out 2) As others have said, there's nowhere for the awning poles to attach to the tent feet like the manufacturers pics show. I just pushed them into the ground. 3) There is no toggle hook to secure the awning up and out of the way. There's only loops on both sides. Not a big deal, I tied it off at the pole ends and left it open all w/end. 4) Once the rainfly is on, there's only one way in or out of the tent. Through the awning side door. Overall, I would recommend this tent. Just beware of the size for transport. Folded, it's about 60" wide, so it won't fit in MOST car trunks.

Great idea! Horrible design with support posts!
Love EVERYTHING about it?? BUT?? VERY DISAPOINTED with this double cot tent? And would never tell anyone to buy it unless your sleeping in it alone, but itโs supposed to be for 2 adults?? Very poor design all the poles on the ends are taking up your sleeping area?? So that means when you put there designed mat in there? Itโs to big for the rent also, you roll to the middle, because there poking you!! Great idea? Bad design, just needed it to be a bit wider and it would be great, Sad, so mine is going back?
