Fun, challenges memory (in a good way)
Fun, pretty easy to learn. Cute, funny illustrations. I’m approaching senior ages, and remembering which cards are there (kept face down) is challenging! Haha

Comical & Fun
Despite the hilarious and quirky artwork, this game is very solid. In describing it to a friend, I called it a mashup of Old Maid and a memory matching game, but it’s a little bit more complicated than that. Learning the game is very straightforward. After reading the rules, we picked up the basics in a few short rounds. Some of the rules involving matching two or three of certain card types adds some extra dimension to the game. I only have played the game in pairs, but I imagine this would be an entertaining party game as well. Overall 5 stars. Fun, quick, easy to learn but plenty of depth, and great value for price.

A game with cheeky artwork - perfect for fans of light strategy and silly fun. I’d recommend it for families with older kids, teens, and friend groups. You need a good memory and extremely basic addition/subtraction skills. For a two-player game, the game was easy enough to understand and worked well for both the first-time players. I can see the game becoming even more chaotic and fun with a larger group, though in that case, I could see how a second deck might be necessary to keep the game flowing smoothly. Object of the Game Collect the lowest value ‘mallow cards by strategically replacing and swapping the six cards in front of you. You play six ‘games’ or rounds - points are accumulative. Cards consist of: a) Positive values – the toastier your ‘mallow, the higher the value (remember, you want fresh ‘mallows, not crispy burnt ‘mallos.) b) Negative values – there are just two special cards in the deck to help bring a player(s) point value down. c) Action cards – if you draw a black/action card, it would be wise to preform the action or discard the card (following the discard rules) as action cards have the highest point values! However, that does not mean they are ‘bad’ cards. i) A “Spy” card allows you to take a peek at unknown/facedown cards in front of you OR any other player. ii) A “Go Again” card immediately gives you two bonus turns. iii) A “Swap” card lets you swap one of your facedown cards with anyone else’s facedown* card (*that how we played). No looking though! Gameplay Lay out your six cards in front of you, facedown. There is also a draw pile and a discard pile. Take a goooood peek at just TWO of your own cards. That’s the only peek you get, so remember those card values. On your turn, pick up a card from the draw pile – is it a nice fresh ‘mallow with a low value? If it is, decide if you want to swap this card for one of your known, or even unknown cards. If you swap a card, keep the new one facedown, and put the old card face-up in the discard pile. Don’t like the card you drew? You can decide to immediately discard this card – however, in exchange, you must turn over one of your cards without peeking at the cards. This is where the memory part comes in. If you know you have a low card that you want to keep, that’s the card you want to turn over. If you turn over the wrong card, or you take your chances with an unknown card in front of you, there is no turning back. Face up cards are yours for the rest of the round. Do you see a nice juicy card on the top of the discard pile? On your turn, rather than picking up a card from the draw pile, you can snag the card from the top of the discard pile to swap out for one of your own facedown cards. Caveat: there is something in the directions about being able to eliminate identical cards in your hand, however, on first play, we didn’t understand this. We just played with all six cards in front of us for all 6 rounds. I think we’ll add in this bit next time we play. Ending the Round If and when you are confident that your six cards make up the lowest score, call out “ARSCH-mallows!” The round is over, and everyone counts up their points. If you were incorrect about having the lowest score, your must double your points. Sad face. Alternatively, if no one calls out ARSCH-mallows, the round is over once somebody has all their cards facing up. Room for Improvement The instructions could use a bit more clarity. While we seemed to have figured things out fairly quickly, a few examples or clarifications would have made the learning curve even smoother. Side Notes: I thought it was pronounced ARSE-mallows since there’s cheeky ‘mallow butts in the artwork but the tutorial video (and the spelling) show that its (M)ARSH-mallows. Contrary to one review here, the cards are standard size and thickness.

Absolutely fun and hilarious game to play while camping or just spending time with family or friends. Kid friendly for 12+ as the gameplay can be a bit of a learning curve at the start. Quality of the cards are great and seem like they will last for quite some time. Absolutely worth it if you want a fun game to play for hours.
